I can only imagine how devastated Koala must have felt after learning about Fisher Tiger's death. It would't surprise me if she blamed herself since he was ambushed and killed after bringer her home. Pirates reunited her with her family and treated her as their own, while everything tied to the world government has either enslaved her (celestial dragons) or threaten to take her away (marines). If she really wanted to make a difference in the world her only choices were to either become a revolutionary or a pirate.

I always imagined that she always would go on about "Uncle Tiger" and the sun pirates. Eventually she made purple feel so guilty that they told her to be quiet about it. When she grew up though, she found out what happened and was so ashamed of her village that she left.
You missed one thing (although admittedly, we don't know a lot of details about it right now), and that's that she seems to have a close friendship with Robin from during the time skip.... Actually, I guess I kind of just summed it up. But it would've given you an excuse to use the scene of Koala hugging Robin and resting her head in her boobs again, so still might've been worth mentioning.

I can imagine he's currently a slave at Marijoa (We didn't saw him in prison, so that's one of possible options) and in one point of story Strawhats with Revolutinary Army will free all slaves, exacly the way like Fisher Tiger did. Can You see that? Arlong enslaved, cuffed to the wall, but they never break him. And he's refusing to accept help from a humans. But Koala will do that anyway, without the word. In the process he will attack her, tear her clothes, so her sun pirates tattoo will show. That will break him. And if Nami will be there it will be even more powerfull moment. That “thing” at the beginning is a sugar glider. They live in packs of 20-50 and make a noise like a toy car being wound up. They’re super cute but, picture laying against a tree, you are one of the original prisoners, and you hear 50 toy cars being wound up above your head! They also show their affection by launching themselves at your face.
30:40 I actually don't think that will happen because it's not a superficially scary thing that you would scream at. It's a much deeper and more malicious evil that grips your heart. I do think she wakes up in the night but crying softly rather than screaming. For her being a slave was a very quiet thing.

When I read the Fisher Tiger flashback, I got the idea that Arlong got the idea that humans could be pets from his reading of Fisher Tiger's relationship with Koala. I honestly think that Arlong honestly thought he was being good and moral in his relations to Nami, because he's just that messed up.

You feed it, treat it a bit better than the rest and make sure it is motivated to perform at optimum condition (in this case he used the villages freedom as motivation). The thing is, people who compare the way Koala, Fisher Tiger and Nami were treated are basically comparing the way how you treat a high class cattle to how a stuck up brat treats a disposable toy. Arlong was bad, but his torture of nami was mostly emotional and happens as a result of how other people were treated by Arlong. She was never tortured (to the same degree that the dragons did), FORCEFULLY branded, used as a toy (as in played with not as an excuse, but out of genuine desire for self pleasure and self satisfaction without any concern for your personal thoughts, feelings and emotions; such as rape - an example of this would be Hancock and her sisters)
Arlong is still a piece of shit , he knew he would get decimated in the new world , so he went to the east blue and tortured a innocent village where he could hide in the delusion that he was the strongest being .

I just wihs we coudl se a small flashback on what happened thoose three years later beofre she joined the revolutionary army. he forgot the third scenario: I am pretty sure she found out the truth, blamed her parents but also blamed herself. Feeling guilty for all she ran away from home, and was frusrated with teh world that did nothing to mend the bridge between Fishman and Merfolk. Maybe she "by some incident" ran into a fishman, and luckily for her that one was Hack. I just wish we could find that out, Jinbei and Koala reuntiting would be an emotional moment.
I do think Koala uses her past as a slave to work as an operative. As a slave you are expected to be invisible and not express yourself. Be completely patient for your master's orders and never complain. So she would have a very understated way of acting and know how to avoid drawing attention. Be very patient and have a very high pain threshold and mental fortitude.
Tekking, as an Australian I feel that you should know that not everything tries to kill us here. Only most things thank you very much, I hope I cleared any misconceptions :)

The most interesting thing I know about Koalas is that they're apparently really, really hard to take care of. Like, their diet is sensitive and horribly inefficient or something. The legacy of Fisher Tiger lives on, and she is a big-boobied wonder.

They’re super cute but, picture laying against a tree, you are one of the original prisoners, and you hear 50 toy cars being wound up above your head! I actually don't think that will happen because it's not a superficially scary thing that you would scream at. It's a much deeper and more malicious evil that grips your heart. I do think she wakes up in the night but crying softly rather than screaming. For her being a slave was a very quiet thing.

actually I think Koala joined the revolutionary armee right after Fisher Tigers death. If I´m not mistaking, in Episode of Sabo, when his backstory is told again and they show how he wakes up and later is trained by Hak, Koala is already there and this is all like ten years before timeskip, the same as Fisher Tigers death

Isaac Gleeth Like I said, he viewed them as cattle and to him, Nami was his best product. You feed it, treat it a bit better than the rest and make sure it is motivated to perform at optimum condition (in this case he used the villages freedom as motivation).
The thing is, people who compare the way Koala, Fisher Tiger and Nami were treated are basically comparing the way how you treat a high class cattle to how a stuck up brat treats a disposable toy.
Arlong was bad, but his torture of nami was mostly emotional and happens as a result of how other people were treated by Arlong. She was never tortured (to the same degree that the dragons did), FORCEFULLY branded, used as a toy (as in played with not as an excuse, but out of genuine desire for self pleasure and self satisfaction without any concern for your personal thoughts, feelings and emotions; such as rape - an example of this would be Hancock and her sisters)
Arlong is still a piece of shit , he knew he would get decimated in the new world , so he went to the east blue and tortured a innocent village where he could hide in the delusion that he was the strongest being .

I just wihs we coudl se a small flashback on what happened thoose three years later beofre she joined the revolutionary army. he forgot the third scenario: I am pretty sure she found out the truth, blamed her parents but also blamed herself. Feeling guilty for all she ran away from home, and was frusrated with teh world that did nothing to mend the bridge between Fishman and Merfolk. Maybe she "by some incident" ran into a fishman, and luckily for her that one was Hack.
I just wish we could find that out, Jinbei and Koala reuntiting would be an emotional moment.
I do think Koala uses her past as a slave to work as an operative. As a slave you are expected to be invisible and not express yourself. Be completely patient for your master's orders and never complain. So she would have a very understated way of acting and know how to avoid drawing attention. Be very patient and have a very high pain threshold and mental fortitude.

Nami's past was purely mental whereas Koala's was both physical and mental as how she was after being saved proves.
I like to think Koala actually uses her past as a slave somewhat to her advantage. That she has an incredible amount of patience, a real talent for doing things quietly and casually and has an incredibly high pain threshold.
