I couldn’t imagine being in Touya’s place in those flashbacks. Like, he burned himself up, and the next thing he knew he was several years older and looked completely different and had a different voice. And then he went home, only to realize that his father had essentially just continued on. All of Touya’s fears had essentially come to life. It’s also honestly super sad that Shoto feels the need to carry all of the family’s hardships on his back when none of this should really be his responsibility. Unfortunately, Endeavor spent the last month or so completely neglecting Shoto and Touya, so he’s gonna have to fight All for One now instead, which sucks since Touya seems to really want to talk to him instead of Shoto, and I can’t say I blame him. Still though, I hope that Shoto can get through to Touya in some way. Touya may not want to admit it, bit they’re more alike than he thinks.
Bones cooked the animation was sooooo good so no one can say it was bad BONES COOKED BONES COOKED BONES COOKED GREATEST ADAPTATION OF THIS SEASON SO FAR!!!!!! The animation direction was so good as Dabi looked so raw and detailed and the impact frames were splendid and animated beautifially and the effects perfectly mirror the rawness of Horikoshi's art!!
I loved the episode but the animation was standard. I know the art in the manga is so amazing it's hard to match but they could have made this episode more dynamic and with more time more detailed and impactful animation. As a manga reader I am fearful for the rest of this arc because there is at least 4 fights that need the endeavor vs high end treatment
@@kurols6453 truly truee but yeah overall still a good episode ( i do hv complain bout the way their animated the fight for the first time ever but it's understandable 😂, well yeah..!)
@@kurols6453⚠️MANGA SPOILERS⚠️ for anime onlys For the ones that have read the manga, don’t forget, there’s still round 2. I forgot how close it was, for all I know, it might be in the next season, but if it is in season 7, then they might try to put more work into that? Since I ain’t a bone animator idk, but that’s just my theory. Plus, there wasn’t any big named animators in this episode apparently, so that’s another reason why I liked ep8 so much, it felt like it was done so well for what they had. I do think that a few scenes could’ve been done better, like AFO in front of Dabi, it would’ve been so cool to see him walking to the burned Touya instead of just standing there, but who knows what we’re getting this season further on. I do respect your opinion though
I get wanting more action, at the end of the day though, I’ve come to realize that MHA will tend to focus on the emotional core of a fight more than action/choreography. I don’t have much of a problem with it personally as I’m really invested in the story and characters, but it’s just something to note

Like ahh i know u know what i mean heree. Don't take any backstory here just make the fight a littleeee bit moree fancy, just a little bittt
Great job presenting your thoughts on the ep at the end. It's a sign of a great channel to be able to say, "this is how it could've better suited my tastes but that doesn't mean it wasn't still great and didn't have it's reasons for unfolding the way it did." It's very mature. It's been a long time since I read these chapters in the manga, but from what I could tell it was very literal to the manga. Visually, I was more impressed with the anime this time because the motion and color really showed off the grandeur of the fight to me, as someone who isn't as experienced with viewing black and white manga panels. In terms of the pacing, this fight took six weeks time to finish in the manga (3 chapters released every other week) so it didn't feel at fast. Overall great episode! I'm so gassed for next week!!!
Agree 100% with you about this episode! Was great! Really good looking but wanted a bit more "fighting" and felt short! But that said, really good episode still!:)
True ! Like even myself who never ever complain bout the fighting scene or animation in Mha suddenly feel something still not enough bout the fighting scene here but stilllllll, overal episode is really good, yeah it's still caught me off guard as i tear up for this episode ( i already read the manga so i know what happen but yeah as usual, this story still make me so emotional 😭)
it was manga accurate, but also we gotta remember that the "war" has just started, so everything is looking like is going too well for the heroes. But dont worry, we will get more fights, this one was just the kick off for things.
If i remembered correctly the manga was actually even shorter. It mostly just focused on Shoto's inner feelings. Please correct me if I'm wrong but I think most of the fighting here is anime original.
@@raec5426 Yeah you're right i just re-read it. The only thing that's different that we have more of Dabi hitting Shoto after he knocks him down. I wouldn't say it's a change since that's what's implied in the manga but it does give off a different feel because in the manga is just one panel whereas here it's a few seconds.
That’s probably the biggest issue with My Hero is that the fights themselves are more thematic Shakespeare expressions of the characters internal struggles and less about the sick choreography or fist exchanges like say JJK. In all honesty the adaptation surpassed the manga and the art was exceptionally on point. This was in fact very manga accurate in every regard. There are fights later on with more hype left right goodnight energy but nothing too different from this. The next 3-4 episodes will also contain big climactic showdowns so we will see how they choose to delegate their animators and resources.
Right, a little bit exchange of fight wil make this episode bcome perfect, like don't want to really long fight but just more boom bah boom. I know what u mean there bcuz that's exactly what i do want despite already read the manga ( yeeah it's accurate with what happen in manga 😂)
I think the idea was to have Iida speed Shoto around the battlefield, but All Might completely underestimated how crazy Dabi's firepower was. It basically stalled his engines.
Manga was alright shoto's fights were always like this u can say he is a very lazy fighter stands back and just uses his ice or fire while on the other hand endeavor is a very complete fighter you can see his fights are always very well choreographed. The biggest flaw of this episode was the unnecessary flashbacks which anime added and it kept taking us away from the fight.
@@Zhou65im pretty sure majority of the flashbacks were not in the manga hori just doesn't do that he barely writes a 15 page chapter nowadays filling a page with flashback won't make sense. I don't remember the chapter no. But I'm pretty sure the fight was well paced unlike the anime.
@@mrhalfwit972 I just checked the manga and I was correct not all the flashbacks were in the manga not to mention they were dragging each flashback to a solid minute or so which was annoying not to mention the deku flashback from season 2 it wasn't even in the manga and they stretched that so hard which just proves they were trying to pace this episode down. I hope the next endeavor fight will be well paced since they released a key visual for it. I remember they did the same for s4 endeavor fight too and it was probably the best paced fight of all mha so excited for this one too.
