Terrific video my wife and I are thinking about getting into the vending business I am highly mechanically inclined, but didn't have a clue where to start with these things, I'm very happy I found this video and you made it for us to see. The wealth and value in this content in my humble opinion is immeasurable
dynamite video. I have the same machine and the same issue. this was an amazing help! (I also had to order a new LED screen cause only 25% of my lines light up and its hard to read! thanks for the help!
The compressor may have turned on but you need to keep it running a couple minutes and Check if the coils are cooling. I’ve had compressors run that do not cool.
This is a good video I'm about to buy a vending machine for very cheap description says everything works it just needs freon it's a machine for chips and drinks What do I check before buying it??
Nice! I would just test all the options if I were you. I’m not too knowledgeable on machines but if you can I would just try each button and option, make sure it has a coin mech because mine didn’t have one, and ask all the questions you have. It’s hard to find people knowledgeable so if they know some things definitely ask and maybe even keep their contact info. But if it’s cheap I think it’s worth the risk! Sounds like it could be a good deal.
I've found one for sale. The compressor and fan turns on but the air is not cool that blows. This was description. Curious about what I'm getting into. Are these compressors refilled or do you just replace them
I have a Person selling the machine for sale but it dont get cool He has a new unit it can be put on. Do I need to make sure the compressor works first for I buy?
What did you do to reduce 255 degree temperature to 91 degrees? You stated you replaced sensor already, then the temperature decreased to 91 degrees. What section of the manual address "mode, cycle, engage buttons"? I watched Alex's video earlier today, cycle & engage buttons front of machine "live front". Thank you for showing different "cycle button" location & stating check manual for troubleshooting. Aedin
I just searched Royal Vendors Temp Sensor on Ebay. Here is a link to one just like I got. www.ebay.com/itm/ROYAL-VENDORS-650-SODA-VENDING-MACHINE-TEMP-SENSOR-RV822030-New-Free-Ship/133388690622?hash=item1f0e95e4be:g:nSgAAOSwkMNemPO6 (not affiliated with this seller)
When were programming the machine. I could see all the buttons when you were scrolling. Next maybe have someone film so we can see all the buttons you press or use a tripod
Question for you. My compressor kicks on for 3-5 seconds then kicks back off but the fan keeps running. Do you think it would be the temp control or low on coolant? The coil was frosting up fairly bad before it stopped cooling. Thanks.
I did forget to mention that a compressor could be low on freon and that could prevent it from working. I dont think a temp control would cause that but I'm not entirely sure. But being low on freon wont give it enough pressure to run properly. And it can also cause coils to get too cold. And if that's the case you would have to then see if there's a large leak or not or just add some freon and monitor it. I forgot to mention that because this was a sealed unit, so I was just assuming it was okay on freon.
Look if it was low on freon the compressor will not cycle off because the temp control hasn't reached temp yet...could be the reeds in the pump,,,,bad pump,,,until you tap into the system and put a gauge on it its a guessing game..36 years service tech Coca-Cola
My story is word for word as your description. I have a Vendo machine and I cant understand why my compressor comes on (like yours) but does not cool I would have thought, compressor running=cooling, if the sensor was faulty (stuck on) then the machine would cool until it was a block of ice. Are you saying that there is something that allows the compressor to run but not cool? I have the added problem that I cant get into programme mode with the button, possibly a faulty pcb. I need answers quick as I have an engineer is coming on Monday to test and fill/pressurise maybe he is not needed. Very interesting video but it might help if you had a cameraman to help.
Sorry Globe, I just got back in town from a Labor Day trip. But I would have done what you seem to be doing now. I would think the system could be low on refrigerant. And some machines like this one need to be tapped to add refrigerant, and I dont think I would have done that myself. Sorry I dont have any other answers. Hope you get it sorted out!
@@doityourself8684 I've had it looked at by a fridge engineer and although he was not an expert in vending machines he thought it should be treated more like a wine cellar and not run as cold as a domestic fridge, 6 to 12 degrees rather than 1 to 6. He also topped up the refrigerant and put my mind at rest that everything is ok saying that it should always at least 1/3 full to run correctly.
@@globeforever9777 Hmm weird scenario. Sorry, I dont think I have any other suggestions. Im not too much of an expert myself either. And yeah I would think too that if the sensor was stuck on it would just keep running but it doesn't. Maybe I typed my description wrong but my compressor would never actually turn on before I replaced the sensor. When I plugged in the compressor directly it turned on. But until I switched out the sensor, the compressor never actually turned on by itself.
@@doityourself8684 I am learning a little bit every day. I just found out that the service/programme switch was faulty on the PCB so I did away with it and short it across with a flat screw driver (new PCB delivered + VAT would have been £390). since I bypassed the switch the compressor has switched on and off itself, Coincidence? I'm still struggling with programming instructions, not written for the average man!! I've just sat down to email Vendo re the instructions, there is someone who has been unbelievably helpful but not sure if that will last until I am finished with him :-)
Is your Cam settings set correctly? I believe bottles are set at 5 for browns cams specifically and cans I believe are 3 but for cans you need a rod put in the correct slot.
Hey Bill. I was actually lucky enough to snag them from a local auction for like 100 bux but they run about 400-500 dollars. The dollies are held together with a strap and ratchet. And different dollies will hold different weights. Thanks!
I would assume if it's got a window heater the that is to prevent humidity condensing on the glass and running into your coin mechanics just the first thought in my head maybe it's wrong or maybe there's a reason for the front panel glass heater. But if you're in a place like Arizona and it's a really dry heat I could see doing away with it

I got it from the manual. Try googling manuals for your machine. It took me a while to find but I ended up finding it as a Merlin III machine or something like that. I don't have it on me right now but I'll update this when I do.

Compressors can lose freon. Some are sealed and don’t have a way to be refilled, but they can be tapped to refill them.

Hey I got a royal machine that won’t get very cold. Where’s that button you pushed located, so I can try to same thing.
The button on mine was yellow, in the middle right side of the mother board.
