Yep, Sunday would be quiet 😃 During the week Cestria (it's Roman name) high street will be very busy indeed, all the buses from all it's many satellite towns stop there, and all the shops are busy. It's not a wonderful place . . . Houses are relatively cheap, with a few exceptions in the slightly 'better' areas, and it's generally kept quite clean. Not too far away by car or bus is Gateshead Metro Centre where there are LOTS more shops and - joy of joys - an IKEA ‼️💯💯 Thanks for your walkabout - you showed me some areas I've never seen, but I've not been there often, so . . .
@@marystratford1312 Do you mean " 'cause that's how we pronounce it." ? ? ? It seems that the good folk of Chester le Street - which you are nominally representing - can neither write nor enunciate grammatically correct English !
@@colinthegeordiehistorian10 The fact there is a *'le'* in Chester *le* Street is not being disputed. The fact that said 'le; is being enunciated *lee* is !

I really like the place, bet there’s some lovely walks down by the river, can you walk to Durham on the path by the riverside?
Why are you enunciating the town 'Chester *Lee* Street when there's no *Lee* in Chester *Le* Street ? ? ?
Thanks for watching!
