This ride looked really fun! Did appear snug in there. Looked like it was flying down the road pretty well. The door handle or knob is really an interesting feature, I've never seen that before. This beauty is definitely a "showstopper"!! Certainly one the most unique cars I've seen and a pleasure see!!! Great ride!!!! Thank you!
Hi WickedFireFly13, Glad the "fun" came through the camera. Car moved well, and the face full of wind added to the feeling of movement. Agree, and unique car for sure :-) Thank you for viewing, commenting, and you're welcome, Lou
Allards are beautiful. Glad he didn't make too hard of a right turn - it doesn't look like that door closure would have keep you from going flyin' out the car!
Great job again buddy..oh man to have the money to make it whole again..would love to hear the story ..like where would you find something like this?..
Cool car lou, back in the late 50s Allard was the only man to win a rally in his own make of car.think it was the monte carlo rally. Company is still going today but now make intercoolers for turbo's instead of car's.
They give you these cars for the weekend RIGHT :) Let you go anywhere you want . . KIDDING of course . I'm sure some of them let you drive it alittle if you really loved it .
Hi Tom Hertz, I keep saying no no no, you drive, you drive, Then they usually sign over the title and I keep saying, I shouldn't, I have no more room in my garage for this one too, you keep the car :-) Lou
Cadillac V8, however I do not know the cubic inches. We did do a review video and that might help so here it is. Enjoy, Lou th-cam.com/video/Qo2RbWcakwg/w-d-xo.html
no luck there, but Google tells me it was a 331 CI, but no horsepower specs my 1951 Olds had a 303 CI, and was rated at 135 BHP, so the Caddy would be a bit higher
When I see cars like this, I long for what might have been. Bean counters and government bureaucrats dictate what the consumer is offered..the masses haven't a clue.
Hi Napoleon Einstein, I'm missing something and not sure where you're going. So let's have fun and here is the question. Do you like the car? Or do you not like the car? Lou
I love the car. 30 years ago I seriously considered buying a replica kit. I own a "69 Fury..my summertime daily driver. Simple to work on..cheap parts..and a pleasure to drive. Cars have become too complicated to work on myself. When they have mechanical problems repair expenses can be astronomical. This only benefits dealer service departments and manufacturers who count on planned obsolescence due to repair costs when those repair costs exceed the value of the car. There was a time when the consumer could order a car to his own specifications... Now choice is nonexistent. Remember when you could buy a brand new Barracuda for $2449 in any of 20 colors? Consumers have become accustomed to a choice of 5 colors and a light gray or dark gray interior. My other vehicle is a 40 year old F-150. (by choice)..In short..manufacturer profits and oppressive government over regulation has stifled the creativity of engineers and designers. The Cadillac/Allard is brilliant in every way..
THANKS LOU ,WE ENJOYED THE RIDE WITH YOU AND DAVE 😁💚💚💚
You're welcome Budget Audiophile Life-long

Hi coolbluetoo, Yes, I was thinking the same thing when the ride began, however I got more comfortable as the ride went along :-) Lou
the dashboard curves matches the wings
Good point.

Hi bob Crawford, Here is more, enjoy, Lou th-cam.com/video/Qo2RbWcakwg/w-d-xo.html
Sweet looking car, Lou. I've heard of the Allard. But I've never seen one in person.
Hi Jason Carpp, Glad you liked this one :-) Interesting how it looks like a 1950's Jaguar with the "wings" (fenders), Lou
I'm afraid I've never seen the two together. Hopefully you'll be able to put two of them in one video to compare the appearance of the two. :)

Hi Jason Meehan, Thank you for viewing and sharing your knowledge, Lou

Hi Napoleon Einstein, "The Cadillac/Allard is brilliant in every way" Nice! :-) Lou
I think the exact opposite. Consumers are getting what they asked for.
