This was a perfect video. I have used CBX before, but never the pedestrian crossing at San Ysidro. We crossed this last weekend. Keeping to the right using the GOES cards was a great tip. Thank you for posting.
Hello Sir,could you please tell me what is the difference between Global Intry and Sentri Intry.Does Sentri intry is usesd by persons who do not have American Visa but they have filled out their own personal information in CBP One App?
From my understanding, if you hold a SENTRI card, you can enter the U.S. by land and air only. On the other hand, Global Entry allows entry into the U.S. by land, air, and sea. If you're deciding between Global Entry and SENTRI, it's worth noting that Global Entry also provides access to SENTRI lanes at the U.S.-Mexico border if you register your vehicle with CBP. On a personal level, we have Global Entry and had no trouble using the SENTRI expedited lanes by foot at the border.
Hello again..I meant that after registring in CBP App and getting promission to cross the US border I have to wait in the Global line Intry, which is crowded or go to the left side and using Sentri Intri where there is no line and not crowded?@@TwoGayExpats
@saeedirani6612 there is no global entry line at this crossing only regular and SENTRI. If you have global entry, you can use the SENTRI line which has practically no wait but like in the video, you may have to kind of say excuse me and push past to get to the entrance for SENTRI as the regular line is overflowing into the SENTRI expedited lane.
All the web sites indicating border wait times show there being a pedeast ready lane. Is it really there? The videos I've seen only show general and sentri.
@@TwoGayExpats thanks for the quick response. I rarely go into San Diego, so it's not that big of a deal. If the general line is long you can take the shuttle bus for $10. It's pretty easy and only takes 30-45 minutes.
I wish that Congress would grow some huevos and actually enforce the passport law that has been in effect since 2009. They need to institute a fine against Americans who don't follow the law and just present a driver's license. Not having the proper documents means that agents are forced to ask additional questions and that slows the line down. Hit passport scofflaws with a $100 fine and watch how quickly they apply for a passport. A travesty that there are no penalties.

When did they close El Chaparral(pedwest)? That's insane.
Thank you, Tray! Best info out of so many!!!

You’re welcome! And thanks for sharing!! 🙏
I’ve been doing research for an upcoming trip and this is the best informational video I’ve seen. Thank you so much for taking the time to do this.
Our pleasure, thank you 🙏
This was fascinating! I really didn't know anything about this crossing, and I learned so much. 👍
Thank you so much. We thought so, too!!
Thank you for sharing
Great video. Thank you!
Our pleasure! 🙏
Thank you! I was wondering how to go about walking back into the US via Global Entry, and avoiding those long lines. Appreciate the video!

Our pleasure!! 🙏🙏
Really helpful tnx alot
Most welcome! 🙏
thanks great vid!
Thank you! 🙏
Thank for your very informative video. Have you used a bus to travel across the border? Any recommendations for people with children?
We haven’t, this video is for the pedestrian crossing. Safe travels!
Where do ready lane card holders make line at?
I’m not sure what that is, but if you have global entry or sentry, then you can bypass the like as shown in the video. There are only two lines.
Great video! Is PedWest still closed?
Thank you! We’ve heard it reopened but best to check official government sites!!
Is there a disability line? My Tia is crossing tomorrow and we are trying to see if there is a special line for people with disabilities.
Check directly with CBP or INM, we don’t know. I’d definitely call to confirm if not listed on their websites. Safe travels!
I have Global Entry on my passport, but I can't find my GE card. Can scan my passport that the GE kiosk like I do at the airport?
We’d definitely check with CBP directly. We have our card with us to show security to access the expedited line.
What is the security check point like? Is it similar to an airport?
I don’t recall just remember it’s like passport control once you get inside
Can NEXUS card holders use the SENTRI line?
We only know about global entry so please confirm with the CBP website!
Hi 😁 what day was it when you crossed back ?? I will be going soon
Thursday!
Did you make a video coming in to Tijuana ped east ?
I didn’t as I was leaving Tijuana. There were lots of videos already on entering Mexico via Tijuana, but not the other way around!

Yes sentri is the best @@TwoGayExpats

I only saw general and Sentri lanes myself. Having Sentri is a must to avoid lengthy wait times in the mornings!

How long is the wait if you do not have sentri or global entry?
It would have been hours when I (Trai) left early weekday morning. It all depends on time of day from my understanding.

We had no idea and thought you had to have a passport
What side should I be on if I have no sentri pass? I’m from the U.S. and I would love to know so I don’t get fined $5,000 !
Left side is regular like and express Sentri line is to the right as you leave Mexico for US CBP.
Do I have to put my fingerprints?
I'm us citizen
No fingerprints
Do they
Have wheelchair
I believe it is accessible from what I remember! Best to check with the border authorities official website to confirm.
