***** Actually I take back what I said, Newsies is great too even though I haven't seen the original movie. I just saw the Fathom Events presentation of Newsies Live last Saturday.
Underrated?! Two times Tony award winning musical is underrated? I remember when it first came to Broadway. It was all people talked about. Newsies is one of the first musicals to develop a HUGE online following.
@@stefannydvorak7919 no I know the show is literally so good, I just wished more people talked about it more instead rather than other huge musicals like Wicked or Hamilton (no hate to those musicals either tho)
I saw this a couple of weeks ago in NYC. It was my first time there and my first time seeing the musical. I loved it so much, I bought one of the hats at the souvenir stand. I haven't taken it off much since. I think this is my favorite song in the soundtrack. It really sets the mood for the adventure!
It's almost impossible not to sing to this song 'cause it's so catchy. I listen to their songs all the time. My favorite part is where Crutchie says:" I got poisinalitly! It takes a smile that spreads like butter."

This show is simply, my theatre lifeblood. This musical (and actually the movie version first) and my families influence are the pure reason I joined theatre. This musical simply is my dream musical. In every number, the guys sound like they're having so much fun. They are livin the high life. The bonds that form between these guys is so awesome. Every number in both versions is a masterpiece. I recently got tickets to watch this show in person and I am SO FRICKIN FUDGIN EXCITED (THEATRE PEOPLE YOU KNOW HOW IT IS). But anyways, seriously, this is single show that I want to be a role in so much.
why exactly did they cut the 'mother' counter-melody after the nuns' trio ('patrick, darling')? in the original, that was always my favourite, so haunting and beautiful.
@@lemonzestu It was from the movie. When Race is singing, in the movie it was actually a woman looking for her son. It was hauntingly beautiful, and one of my fav parts about the movie, cause she killed it.

Saw newsies 2 days ago while they were on their U.S. tour! It was great! This song and the world will know are my current favorites!!
Alana Torres I love those two!
Alana Torres my top 2. I go back and forth on which is my favorite!
Everybody who is listening to this: we should all get together NY and sing it. Who’s in??
So in!!
I'm in!
I would when it's safe

My God...I sense an obsession comin' on!
Don't use the Lord's name in vain.

this whole musical is so underrated honestly
Underrated?! Two times Tony award winning musical is underrated?
I remember when it first came to Broadway. It was all people talked about.
Newsies is one of the first musicals to develop a HUGE online following.
@@stefannydvorak7919 no I know the show is literally so good, I just wished more people talked about it more instead rather than other huge musicals like Wicked or Hamilton (no hate to those musicals either tho)
My highschool is doing the first ever highschool production of newsies.
And how did it go?
Adam Hein which school cuz so was mine...
My elementary school is doing this
#SO MUCH FUN
My school is doing it as well, lol.
I'm in the same boat. My group is performing in July and I'll play Davey. I use this to practice along with the Rehearsescore app.
The people who disliked this are Mr.Pulitzer, Mr.Hearst, the delansie brothers, and the scabbers. Excuse me for my spelling

AnimatorSpeedy Agreed! I love my own hat. Bring it everywhere I go.
I’m jealous when I went to nyc it was AMAZING but I watched school of rock still great but I really want to see newsies and Hamilton
This was 6 years ago! :0

Could listen to this for days on end.
I've seen Wicked, Kinky Boots, and Cinderella but this has to be my favorite show I've seen
I can't agree! I love newsies but I also love wicked!
I saw Wicked and Cinderella too. I'm going to see the upcoming Newsies Live movie theatre engagement starring Jeremy Jordan.
I thought it was spectacular too.
Also does anyone think I will like Kinky Boots?
Panic! Fans destroyed all types of etiquette on Broadway. Speaking of that show.

It's almost impossible not to sing to this song 'cause it's so catchy. I listen to their songs all the time.
My favorite part is where Crutchie says:" I got poisinalitly! It takes a smile that spreads like butter."
I was in the pit orchestra for Newsies and oh my goodness it was wonderful. This is so nostalgic for me.
First broadway show I ever watched. I loved it.

My middle school did this musical. It's was so much fun!!
still my favorite musical to this day
This show is simply, my theatre lifeblood.
My friend was in this musical as a backup dancer.
Ok every time Crutchie has his part it makes me smile
I guess it doesn’t take a smile that spreads like buttah then.
Maybe it is just his poisinality.
why exactly did they cut the 'mother' counter-melody after the nuns' trio ('patrick, darling')? in the original, that was always my favourite, so haunting and beautiful.
What mother? I don't remember oof
@@lemonzestu It was from the movie. When Race is singing, in the movie it was actually a woman looking for her son. It was hauntingly beautiful, and one of my fav parts about the movie, cause she killed it.
