This is how I get my studying done in school. They say listen to classical music to increase focus, but this soundtrack amps me up enough to do the job just right. ....unless I end up dancing around my toom instead of studying

Yeah. I can't even take two steps while singing quietly without running out of air, but these guys have energy, great volume, and a fantastic dance number while they sing. They're amazing.
When I did Newsies with my community theatre we did that crescendo and it took SO long to perfect. It sounds so good tho. Respect to the cast for managing to do it every performance
@circusgirlnikola- I don't rly do theatre personally but I do sing in a choir and I can always appreciate a good massive crescendo because I know how long it takes to get it right and how hard it is to properly pull off especially with a large group of people.. hats off to you guys for getting it right as well 🥰

My son is 13, and the day he was born he was the only boy and 6 girls. My daughter is 9, and she was one of 14 and the only girl. That said, the church choir of under 10 year olds where I go--the kids go to church with their mom, it doesn't even have a youth choir--they have one boy and about nine girls. Since "Newsies" isn't a religious production production, I doubt I'll get to see it performed by the kids in the choir. The "Dead Poets Society," ... Let out a loud loud 'yawp,' even though it isn't ladylike--it is exceedingly the joy of Being Human.
never thought I'd ever get to say this but... I saw this on broadway. BROADWAY. dreams come true. I've wanted to see this for so long and it just so happened to be my first broadway show. this show will always be so much more than amazing music, awesome choreography and an inspiring story line to me.
I feel the same way because it was also my first Broadway show that wasn't on a DVD and I just loved it! (Although, I hadn't wanted to see it for a long time, but it will always be my favorite because it was my first and I had wanted to see something on Broadway !) I want to be on Broadway, and will be, and will always remember my first show that I saw, Newsies!

Of only the drive there wasn't so horrendous... all you guys who live near Portland know what I'm talking about! there are only two things in Portland that worth driving through that mess: Keller Auditorium, and Cheesecake Factory. O ma gosh that place has the best food...
With everything going on now I couldn’t help but come back to this song, it always filled me with hope and determination. The story of the younger generations having to fight for change is all to real all over the world I was at a peaceful protest and the law enforcement decided to start shooting and throwing teargas at us. We weren’t doing anything wrong and it wasn’t past curfew, they had no reason to do it and I was one of the ones who was struck with a rubber bullet. I don’t know why they thought combating protests about police brutality with police brutality would work but they should know this fight is far from over. Stay safe everyone, I hope one day I can come back to this knowing we did it.

Was lucky enough to see this show last night performed by the national touring cast. Even luckier to meet the cast after. They were all SO kind and i love how you can just tell how much of a family they are.
I personally prefer the Broadway version over the movie version. I feel like I'm in the minority but it's not the lyrics as much as it's the fact that it has more of a fighting March like feel to it.
The only Disney musical I've seen onstage is the national tour of High School Musical. However, I do hope to one day see the stage versions of Aladdin and Mary Poppins.

Bens voice is so beautiful and smooth and genuine and kind and it warms my heart. Jeremys voice is so strong and powerful and emotional and gives me chills. These are such talented human beans they are so amazing

Story time: I was taking a shower and all of a sudden BOOM there’s a spider and I am TERRIFIED of spiders. Also I was listening to newsies at the time. So me being the person I am I stood there and almost cried as I scream at the thing whilst it was climbing the towel rack falling down. I eventually come out of the shower but it’s has glass that’s literally JUST opposite of the towel rack so if I went out the spider would of been a few inches from my face. So I was stood there just staring at the thing BEGGING it to go behind the towels and then. THIS SONG COMES ON!!! So I’m waiting there and the spider goes behind the towels but I’m still SO SCARED of going back in and then the line.Courage can not erase our fears courage is when we face our fears. So I’m getting ready to go in and I just start singing and SPRINT and SCREAM and then just like that. I’m in the shower. Hope this was a good story XD

Next to “Once and for all” this is one of my favorite songs from this musical. It truly knows how to grab you and pull you into the story. I am a sucker for powerful musical songs and this one and “Once and for all” take the cake. Love love love this musical and this song! Couldn't help but think of both as I participated in the walkout today at school. Just the sense of importance as I walked out of my school in the middle of the day in solidarity and support of something I believe in.
Spencer Bartlett I believe that the Broadway production started in 2012 or 2013, it was set for a 4 week run, then 12, then was put on an open-ended run (no set ending date) and is still currently running, though with Corey Cott as Jack Kelly instead of the original Broadway actor, Jeremy Jordan.
I was Specs in a production of Newsies last summer and it was one of the best experiences I have ever had. This is the first time I’ve listened to the soundtrack in a whole year because of how emotional it’s made me, and all the good memories being sad to look back on. Now in the middle of all of life’s stresses I’d forgotten how much I really missed my comfort musical, it feels like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders again and I’m literally crying right now. Thank you Newsies, for a show about homeless kids without families you really gave us a home and a family. I hope Newsies will continue to mean as much to others as it has to me and my friends.
We sang this in my choir about 2 years ago when I had no idea that this musical existed. While hearing this, I was hit with a wave of memories and when it got to the chorus, it clicked. What a great song.
i saw this last week as well as wicked in nyc and i just loved it so much they were both so good, and i have spent the last week dancing around to songs from the two plays because of how good the songs were. If you go and see newsies, the cast sometimes comes out 15-30 minutes after the show to take pictures and sign autographs. I went it was so cool. it is one of my favourite broadwayu musicals.
So today was the exam I was least excited about, and for a straight hour and a half before the exam I blasted a continuous loop of this and The World Will Know. I also had 24 oz of Chai Tea Latte. I have never been more motivated in my life. I was actually chanting "Strike Strike Strike!" During basically the whole exam.
I love this song so much, it was so powerful to hear it sung right next to me in the aisles of a dinner theater when I saw this, amazing I'll never forget it

Was lucky enough to see this show last night performed by the national touring cast. Even luckier to meet the cast after. They were all SO kind and i love how you can just tell how much of a family they are.
I personally prefer the Broadway version over the movie version. I feel like I'm in the minority but it's not the lyrics as much as it's the fact that it has more of a fighting March like feel to it.

Story time:
I was taking a shower and all of a sudden BOOM there’s a spider and I am TERRIFIED of spiders.
Also I was listening to newsies at the time.
So me being the person I am I stood there and almost cried as I scream at the thing whilst it was climbing the towel rack falling down.
I eventually come out of the shower but it’s has glass that’s literally JUST opposite of the towel rack so if I went out the spider would of been a few inches from my face.
So I was stood there just staring at the thing BEGGING it to go behind the towels and then.
THIS SONG COMES ON!!!
So I’m waiting there and the spider goes behind the towels but I’m still SO SCARED of going back in and then the line.Courage can not erase our fears courage is when we face our fears.
So I’m getting ready to go in and I just start singing and SPRINT and SCREAM and then just like that. I’m in the shower.

Next to “Once and for all” this is one of my favorite songs from this musical. It truly knows how to grab you and pull you into the story. I am a sucker for powerful musical songs and this one and “Once and for all” take the cake. Spencer Bartlett I believe that the Broadway production started in 2012 or 2013, it was set for a 4 week run, then 12, then was put on an open-ended run (no set ending date) and is still currently running, though with Corey Cott as Jack Kelly instead of the original Broadway actor, Jeremy Jordan.

I was Specs in a production of Newsies last summer and it was one of the best experiences I have ever had.
This is the first time I’ve listened to the soundtrack in a whole year because of how emotional it’s made me, and all the good memories being sad to look back on.
Now in the middle of all of life’s stresses I’d forgotten how much I really missed my comfort musical, it feels like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders again and I’m literally crying right now.
Thank you Newsies, for a show about homeless kids without families you really gave us a home and a family. I hope Newsies will continue to mean as much to others as it has to me and my friends.

i saw this last week as well as wicked in nyc and i just loved it so much they were both so good, and i have spent the last week dancing around to songs from the two plays because of how good the songs were.
If you go and see newsies, the cast sometimes comes out 15-30 minutes after the show to take pictures and sign autographs. I went it was so cool. it is one of my favourite broadwayu musicals.
BTW, I'm jealous. Love Kenny Ortega and Alan M. I want to see it badly. And the movie.

So today was the exam I was least excited about, and for a straight hour and a half before the exam I blasted a continuous loop of this and The World Will Know. I also had 24 oz of Chai Tea Latte.
