My most memorable MGS experience: My uncle, my brother, and I - while my uncle was staying with us for a month - played MGS1 together. It took about a week to beat it, but it was an awesome experience watching the story unfold as a 8 year old kid.
I played it with my cousin when I was five my cousin passed away awhile ago but I remember him through the first video games I played the ones he showed me when I was a kid
The best part about this in my opinion is that an entirely new generation will be able to experience this masterpiece. That alone makes this remake worth it

@REDRUMEDICIUS It would be nice, but I don't know if the RDR2 AI would be good for a stealth game. Now the last of us Ai would be perfect for this game.
Doubt it. They are going to be confused why there are loading screens, and feel restricted by the gates level design. Especially if they played phantom pain in the past.

Waiting in a local EBGames for the release of MGS2. People were just sharing their stories and hype for the game. Talking about going into first person for the first time to aim and hold up enemies. We were all strangers but this game brought us together for the few moments to appreciate our excitement to finally play this masterpiece. It was a magical time. Watching the clerk bring out stacks of new copies for everyone. Buying an M rated game without needing a parent, getting home and watching that legendary intro and playing through the Tanker mission. Best memory for me.
My favorite metal gear moment was feeling so happy and proud of making it to the end of snake eater just to sit there silent with tears in my eyes understanding why big boss became the way he is.
I would say for me, my best moment with mgs was the first time I saw it. On a friends couch, with his oldee brother, with 11 years, watching the Intro and all that stuff. Ah Shadow Moses :) And I will never forget my 4 years of MGO2. Still imo the best 3rd person online shooters ever made. Good video, keep up the good work!
So many talking about the modernised gameplay as if it's game breaking. Lol obviously they never played the Subsistance version then. Then we had the 3DS which added crouch walking and over the shoulder aiming. That didn't "break" the game. If anything, this drastically enhances the gameplay!
@ 9:00 If I remember correctly, the bee trick does not get rid of the guards permanently. They all will return to the area if you take too long to progress. I think the game gives you about 3 minutes or so.
My ultimate game of All time, cant wait for the release, cool Thing is That People That Never played before will have a chance to get a fresh start of the franchise
Probably the same reversal that's in V, disarm the knife and knock to the ground. Delta seems to use a lot of animations from V (which isn't necessarily a bad thing).
My favorite Metal Gear moment is from Snake Eater, when the nuclear bomb goes off, and the James Bond style intro plays, with the epic theme song... I was mind blown that everything I had done was just the intro.
Getting Silent Hill 2 and Snake eater in close proximity is gold, I just hope they have all the easter eggs and hidden dialogues of The original Snake eater. The cardboard box dialouge with Sigint is a classic.
When i first purchased the MGS HD Collection on PS3, the one that had MGS2, 3 and peace walker. It was my first time ever playing a MGS game and I absolutely fell in love with the series and lore. I went on to buy 4 and eventually MGS5. No one I knew ever really playing those games and with this remake coming out I couldn’t be more hyped.
Nah... resident evil 4 reimagined the original and had the courage to change and spyce things up. Konami is just doing a 1 to 1 with updated gameplay that is for sure overpowered for the original level design

my favorite part of the footage shown here is the cqc. i still think it looks really good. a lot of players have been quickly going through these sections and getting caught at rassvet. when I play, I'm going to go way slower. i wonder if you can do the cqc grab around corners like in V.
Gonna move that health bar to the upper left and turn off threat ring probably. Might even switch to legacy half way through, maybe not. Pretty sure I'll beat this in 4 hours with full modern style. Super hype.
I've always loved the absolutely malicious grin Snake does when he spots the Bee Hive and I'm so glad they somehow managed to give him an even more shit-eating grin than before
Are you able to switch weapons like in mgs v? Or mgs2 and 4 where you can choose 3 items to cycle through by tapping r1? That was my only grip with OG mgs 3. You have to hold r1 to choose all your items.
The scene in the trailer where he used an RPG against a helicopter looks like it's using V's equip system. The rocket launcher is on his back as he's running then he pulls it off his back when aiming.
The most bizaare change is the bullet trail. Even in the old game, it wasn't that pronounced, but here they've gone with these realistic graphics yet there is a _VERY CLEAR BULLET TRAIL._ It's cartoonish when its surrounded by so much realism.

Any idea about the release dates? I know that Konami mentions it as 2024, but I doubt that the game would release this year. Would be awesome if it does.
Man, I really wish they allowed live feeds. I guess they were afraid of trolls pointing out the mundane, but they've done a very good job with this remake. It's not perfect, but overall it looks absolutely solid...snake.
I think without Kojima being involved, the best way to handle remakes of these games is keeping it exactly 1:1. Changing things, adding open world elements etc, Konami will only open themselves up to harsh criticism from fans of the series. They don't want another Metal Gear Survivor situation.
I think they made a mistake by going fully 1:1 with the remake. At least for what it looks so far, it seems like there won't be any surprises for old players. I think the RE remakes struck a perfect balance between faithful and adding things.
Im not a fan of the awareness indicator, when someone sees you and it shows you which direction theyre at. Hopefully that turns off at higher difficulties. Also im noticing when hes caught its alert instantly, what happened to enemies having to call alert status on the radio first?
The alert that appears is for that enemy only. You can see there's a moment where he knocks down the guard and the alert goes immediately down. It only goes full alert when the enemy gets his radio and call in for reinforcements, just like in the original game.
Mgs3 never had the AI call for back up that was in mgs2 mgs3 you have literally like 2 seconds to cqc or tranq your enemy or it will automatically be alert one of the things i disliked about mgs3
That was never in the original mgs3 there’s just an alert if you don’t take them out within like a second. MGS2 was the game where the enemies had to call in on the radio first. If MGS 3 had such a mechanic it would be way too easy to just cqc slam the enemy before they’re done on the radio.
For me playing the OG before the remake wasn't a good idea for the Super Mario RPG HD remake with the original experience still fresh in my mind. The "Oh, so that's how it looks/sounds now" wasn't as thrilling as "Ooh, I kinda remember this!" when playing remakes first before the OG games. And the sense of nostalgia isn't as strong when the OG experience is still fresh. So I'm going to instead play Delta first in the Classic Style gameplay with the yellow filter and old HUD placement, then a 2nd playtheough using the New Style and harder difficulty. Onlu then I'll replay the PS2 OG.
Great question, actually. It makes sense as they adopted the interrogation mechanic. I think there’s no need given the game’s environment. I don’t remember there being large open fields where sprinting might be very useful, and this game’s story and objective is also more linear than MGS V.
@@jonathanterol4528 I agree. I was only curious when they added mechanics like crouching. As you said, the level design of the game does not require sprinting anyway. It's too small for sprinting. In general, I'm happy with what I've seen.
Meh, I don’t know. They need to fix snakes movements and the way the environment interacts with him. They need to fix his speed, slow him down a bit and they need to fix how when he’s crawling he seems to go through foliage like he’s phasing through it rather than crawling through it. In the original game, when going through foliage and brush, it actually moves as you walk or crawl through it. Here, it looks like you can phase right through it. Also, it’d be nice if you could take the weapons of enemies, preform disarms and use their own weapons against them on the spot like how MGSV did it.
I will never understand how autistic subhumans will complain about a game not having a release date yet, and in the same breath complain about minor technical and graphic details that are the last things touched on in the development process

The grass 100% needs to be better. There's definitely no new mechanics, so no TPP stuff, but the grass is ass for sure.
Not madly keen on the loading screens and the way Snake runs. Otherwise, it looks fabulous. 💥

I could get into metal gear if they had the Gore and Ragdoll effects like RDR2 or The Last of Us. That's the type of "realism" I think would add weight to your action and gameplay. Even the quality AI in RDR2 and TLOU2 is something I don't see much in a lot of games.
