15:25 Before: Tfl Rail
Now: Elizabeth Line
Play this at 2x speed to see the train operators new shinkansen style trains
@于汶正(YU MAN CHING ANTHONY) granted, I know that shinkansen trains have been around for a long time and have become steadily more advanced in technology over the years
Nice video! What does TOC mean?
TOC = Train Operating Company (each of the different companies in this video) :)
I subscribed to you
Thank you! I have returned the favour :)
welldone for mersy rail
Thanks, it was the only station I could find for Merseyrail :)
Why do London Underground tracks appear to have *four* rails? Are the inner two electrified, with opposing positive and negative current charges?
Great video! 1:55 Is that a closed station, or just a disused set of platforms?
Thanks! That's just the disused platforms at Upton Park station, on the District Line near West Ham.
ACETrainsUK Oh okay :)
How did you get on them though?
That was Pulled off Fantastically But may I ask Heathrow Connect When did that TOC Spring up if I may ask?
Thank you! Heathrow Connect was started up in 2005 and is a TOC jointly operated by GWR and Heathrow Express in order to provide a local stopping service between places such as London Paddington/Ealing Broadway/Hayes & Harlington and Heathrow Airport.
But has now disappeared, to be replaced by TfL Rail, and soon Crossrail/Elizabeth Line
Can you do Train spotting at Hendon?
I will see if I can in the future
Those blue and yellow trains similar to the first great western hst livery, what company and where do they run to?
If you are referring to the trains at 9:03, that's Hull Trains, another First Group company which operates a handful of trains per day between London Kings Cross and Hull via the ECML.
+ACETrainsUK ok thank you
How many units does the class 379 batteries store?
Apparently 500 kWh, although only 1 Class 379 is currently fitted with batteries as a test unit
What was that Desiro on Transpenine Express?
Class 350, but they're all going to West Midlands Trains soon.
1:37 looks like princes risborough on CML
That's Bicester North on the CML :)
ACETrainsUK Ok but I don't get why there's an arriva trains Wales WAG train passing through.Good video anyway
It was running a special Football service from Wrexham General to Wembley Stadium so went via Shrewsbury, Wolverhampton, Coventry and Banbury.
ACETrainsUK Ok, thanks for answering.
London north western railway
Rare to see a class 67 at speed! How fast was it going?
Normally 100mph.
You should have gone outside London or to stations like Dagenham heath way to see cc really go fast but good video anyways.
*c2c
Thank you for the comment, unfortunately I don't know much about the c2c network and where they travel at speed but will consider Dagenham Heathway for the next compilation :)
Val Mal
***** what
Chiltern railways
That’s Bicester North at 1:43 right?
Yep, that's Bicester North! An unusual place for an Arriva Trains Wales train though :)
SE da best
Class 373 sounds like a kid impersonating a gun.
Haha, I hadn't thought of that before!
Apart from the Eurostar, which is the fastest train? I was thinking Southeastern high speed
It would be Southeastern High Speed at 140mph, followed by any of the companies with 125mph trains, such as CrossCountry, Virgin, EMT, etc.
Thanks! I've been on the High Speed and other Virgin trains, the High Speed train is a beast!!
What speed was the enterprise doing?
Around 90mph I believe as I don't think they can go any faster on the route.
Great westerN RAILWAY
East Midland Trains
that eurostar was going slow
Tayo
could you film in Italy
Italy is a long way but I won't rule it out in the future :)
Caledonian sleeper
What is that abandoned station at 2:00 ?
That is Upton Park in London. There are two operational London Underground platforms to the left of the camera (out of sight), but the mainline platforms are disused.
Amtrak train
Hello amazing video, what is the station at 15:10?
Thanks! That's Heaton Chapel Station in Manchester.
@@ACETrainsUK thanks so much!
Thameslink great NORTHEN
Aww
Cross country
Mersyrail
Is it me or dors the Tube 96 Stock go faster than the new trains
Yeah, the new trains are slightly slower than the older ones but rely on better acceleration and braking.
At 3:03 what is the station called??
That is Saunderton station, on the Chiltern mainline.
C2c
London Underground only travel at up to 50mph.
He said "Mostly over 75mph (apart from London Underground and TfL rail)", but I understand. :)
shelby3024 YT actually there maximum stopping service is limited to 45
the 379 at 0:32 kinda sounded like it was howling like either an owl or a wolf
Very true lol
GRAND CENTRAL
And?
Heathrow EXPREES
At 11:10 was that a Class 201?
Or 11:38
Yep it was one of the 201s used jointly between IE and NIR.
EUROSTAR
You missed gatwick express
Gatwick Express was absorbed into the Southern (GTR) section at 13:26, sorry for any confusion!
How About Crossrail Its Also really fast...
The Crossrail trains will be included in the next Trains at Speed video coming out later this year as they weren't around at the time that this video was filmed :)
Abellio greater anglie
Arriva trains wales
How fast were most of these going?
It varies from about 75mph-140mph, apart from TfL Rail and London Underground, which were going about 50-60mph. The Eurostar trains were travelling at up to 186mph though.
you missed London overground
Unfortunately, it is very rare to find a London Overground service travelling at speed, hence why they're not included. The only stations that they pass through non-stop (London Fields and Cambridge Heath), they only usually travel at 30-45mph.
it's alright.
A class 222 that fast?????
London underground
you missed West Midlands Trains
At the time of the video, West Midlands Trains was still London Midland!
@@ACETrainsUK oh i see
Hull trainS
:(
No class 465
Unfortunately, it is difficult to catch a 465 at speed as they are mainly used on slower suburban services sorry!
So he went with the 466
Lol completely forgot about this
1:54 is that an electrified 170?
That is a Class 357, which is evolved from a Class 168 but is essentially similar to a Class 170 in appearance as both classes were built in Derby.
Wane they billed
They were built between 1999-2002
Think yoy
In UK, there are a lot of electric trains which are feeded by THIRD RAIL.
wow! Even my local network! (merseyrail)
Northwestern Railways that's my local network too :)
1:38 station?
Bicester North
ACETrainsUK cheers, it’s mad to think you’re responding to vids from 4 years ago, fair play, and love the content too!
@@jamiebeach2621 no worries, I will always try to be of help where I can! Thanks for watching!
