This compilation of passenger trains at speed across the UK is simply thrilling! It's incredible to see the diversity of train operators and the speed at which they traverse the tracks. Thanks for putting together this exciting showcase of UK rail travel!
Thanks for watching!
I still remember the first time I experienced the thrill of a high speed train going through a station. The distinctive "thrumming" of the rails well before the train comes into view and whizzes by. Simply Awesome! I take the district line from Ealing Broadway occasionally and I every now and then I get the pleasure of experiencing a high train whizzing through the station. I believe they hit the 125mph top speed going through.
Am so glad you continued the series from Trains at Speed UK 3
Glad you enjoyed, thanks for watching!
Amazing compilation. I could watch this all day!! More please.
@@nmb46 thank you for watching!

Nothing beats high speed pendo full tilt
With greatest respect for a good effort, but you must track the trains as they pass with your camera to create an illusion of greater speed.
@@otoojk not really. As I've said to another comment, keeping the camera in place and not using excessive destabilising pan-and-zoom creates a better sense of speed in my opinion. Happy for you to spend many hours filming and editing a similar video to see if you're right though...
Do freight trains and railtours at speed 3
It's in production at the moment, so will be a few months yet.
When will HD be available?
Why dont you move the camera as they go past. Why keep it facing the same way? It would look so much better
Because I feel you lose the sense of speed when you pan around, and others have said the same thing in my previous 'at speed' compilations.
@ACETrainsUK honestly for me it's the opposite of you pan you see the widest fov, which conveys speed the most just like in games when driving faster increases pov. Also if you pan you get twice the length of shot so there's a reason other people do it. Don't listen to those other people they are buffoons
I prefer no panning. I always like wide shots with plenty of depth of field. I agreed with John Frankenheimer who shot his movies wide with little panning or zooming because it let the viewer decide where in the scene they wanted to look. I agree. I want to decide where to look.
Panning as a train passes doesn't work well always. For me the only acceptable one is planning to follow the rear as it passes. Many try to pan in the middle or at the front and it's awful looking especially as it rarely matches the speed of the train.
I think your videos are fine as they are. Personal opinion, other available. Buffoon or otherwise.
@typhoon-7 to be fair I do agree that most of the shot should be facing the same way, the thing that annoys me is when they just end the clip pointing the camera at nothing. At least swing it round after most of the train has passed to see it leave the shot. But yes it does also annoy me when they spend ages panning around or do it too early.
@@aocxe everyone has a different style of filming trains, so different things work for different people. I tend not to pan around as my camera is hand-held so it can sometimes destabilise the shot by panning.
Caledonian Sleeper at Laurencekirk?
I thought they got rid of the hst’s but I saw one when i went to scotland?
Yeah, I think GWR still have some Castle Class HSTs, (4 coaches and 2 locos) ScotRail has a few, (also 4 coaches and 2 locos) RailAdventure have some for freight movements, some went to heritage and Network Rail use some for their New Measurement Trains. Sorry for the nerdy response!
Of the record northern Irish trains are not associated with the other UK companies.
There run by there own government as they are of different rail gauge and signaling.
Yep, I know their operation is slightly different. However, as Northern Ireland is part of the UK, NIR has been included here.
Do you have steam train videos ?
I do indeed, here's a playlist of all my steam vids:

Hang On. Did You Forgot To Put In Some Clips From Late 2019 To 2020?
Nope nothing has been left out. All clips were collected from 2021-2024 with my new camcorder.

For some reason the Diesel 220's seem a tad faster!! Just look at Their videos and see for yourself!!! They're just to short a consist, 4to5 cars. But they disappear rapidly when they leave the Station, with no hesitation!! Not unless the electrics were slower because they were leary of the filmaker!! But remember, Diesel Turbo is just as fast as an Electric Mu's and Locomotives!!! Earl of ElBarrio, NYC,NY. 9/15/24
