I like how basically everyone (including myself) when first watching the film never realizes they're showing Tarzan's dead parents on screen in that one shot 😭. Also dang you're the first person I've seen who realized immediately that Terk was a girl I'm amazed
Yup, I didn't realize those were Tarzan's parents on the floor next to bloody paw prints... And I thought Terk was a boy, and I thought little Tantor was a girl until I heard his adult voice. I didn't realize Terk was female until I heard her mom address her as "young lady" when taking her home after meeting baby Tarzan, and using her full name "Terkina!" when she said Tarzan was funny-looking.

Tarzan speaks every animal language because he grew up around all of them. He learned English from Jane so her was able to translate for her and for his ape family.

I’ve been using the term “emotional constipation” all these years & didn’t realize where I got it from. I saw this in the theater on the local release date which was my birthday. We were late & had to sit in front. I sat next to my Mom & we cried through “You’ll Be In My Heart”. We lost her in February. Thanks for this reaction, it brought back that precious moment for me in vivid detail.

I can’t remember exactly cuz it’s been so long since I’ve gone but I think at Disneyland, there was a Tarzan theme treehouse thing and at one point the cheetah jumps out at you, and I never went back into it cuz I was traumatized 😭😂

Do you remember during the scene where we first meet Clayton how he’s telling a story about hunting wildebeest? This made me consider the thought that maybe it wasn’t the hyenas that scared them. Maybe Clayton was there and shot at one of them as Simba’s roar echoed through the canyon. 🤯

One interesting thing about Clayton (atleast in the novels) is that he is Tarzan's cousin. So yeah that's a loop I didn't know until recently.
The fan theory about Tarzan's parents also being Elsa & Anna's was good until Frozen 2 proved it wrong when they showed what happened to them.
Also, the timeline doesn’t make sense.

I actually didn’t realize Clayton was hanged until I was older. I always assumed he fell to his death until one day when I watched the movie and finally saw the silhouette…..I was shocked to say the least

"Son of Man" was my favorite Disney songs growing up when this came out I was 12 and that song really hit me hard right in the feels. I was growing up without a father and it just let me know from the lyrics that I will make it and I will grow up to become the man that I always wanted to be

Not to detract from the emotional meaning the song has for you, but I just wanted to point out that several of the 'adventures' young Tarzan has during that musical sequence are actually canon to the original Tarzan stories, particularly the one where they lasso the flamingo.

What’s poppin king 🤴🏾, thank you for hitting this one because Tarzan is my second favorite Disney movie and the soundtrack will forever be great , every song was spot on to the moment and the storyline was good 👍🏾…. 10/10 for this movie and Question: can you start rating the movies from 1-10 and why you feel that number is best ? Tbh I never heard the frozen theory but that is so wrong and a reach but I can say they do look alike probably did use the animation design again because they role was small … but always a funny and nostalgic treat with you but I still don’t get how you never seen some of these movies at all??? Best Disney movie ever. Will always be my top favorite. Best soundtrack as well. Phil Collins went in this HARD. Also, there is a second movie called Tarzan and Jane. Animation isn't as great as this first movie but it's entertaining. They never had kids but it delved into their lives in the Jungle as a couple.

@@watermelonwatsittoya the movie takes place in Africa, hence there being Gorillas and Elephants, and Clayton talking about how he was born for Africa. So Leopards make more sense than Jaguars.

“Tarzan” and “The Lion King” saga will always have the best OST among Disney classics for me. I know their songs by heart and even sing with an accent for “Tarzan” as Phil sang the songs in multiple languages, as I’m french I know the song in french and I picked up his accent while singing 😅

Don’t know if you’ve seen this movie, but “Disney’s Dinosaur” was always a personal favorite of mine. Scared me to death as a kid (not like Jurassic park), but it’s a movie I’ve always loved. Not everyone agrees, but just in case you’ve never seen it…. #bingers
Yeah thats a fun movie. It could do without the "love monkey" imo, but still pretty great. And the CGI actually held up for quite awhile. Now of course its pretty obvious, but I remember watching it again probably 10 or so years ago and was surprised it didn't look completely clunky.

The villain in this movie Mr Clayton, is actually Tarzan's cousin in the books it's based on. Tarzan's real name is John William Clayton the third, and he is an English nobleman.
