Auburn's DL and CBs are legit. Nix had some good moments, hence that back shoulder pass on the sideline. But this was a great game.

Auburn defense was actually pretty good. Bo Nix just needs to handle the pressure better. We saw it vs Florida.. and again vs LSU. Didn’t help that he was getting poor pass rush protection..
Exactly the way I feel. That poor defence was playing with all Heart. I am not putting blame on nix. Look what Jones of Alabama done this week .He finally got in a good game after being thrown to the side by many fans. This problem is a Gus problem. I never called for him to be fired. Never wanted him as head coach. It is what it is. Just think what they could do with a improved oline. Yes nix has made to many mistakes and gets happy feet in the pocket. I would to if I had 280 pound dline after me. Sad to see such a defence performance and lose the game. War Eagle.
He was a true freshman next year he’ll be better 💯 I like nix, I think he showed a lot of heart to play as well as he did with no real leadership ahead of him, he was just learning as he went and still had some impressive wins like that comeback game again Justin Herbert and the Oregon ducks ✊🏽

Auburn also lost 5 games this year. That's Texas' only claim to fame too was being close to LSU in their game lol. That isn't an achievement to hold onto during an 8-5 season

@@trippieblue9207 LSU, Auburn, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, and Texas a&m would have all been undefeated in the ACC this year. Getting to the playoff is half the battle. When you play high school teams every week, you can have off weeks like against UNC and still get the win.

Clemson destroyed one of Bama's best teams ever and was better than them last season. LSU is the only team to beat them in the last 30 games and even they will drop off this year. @@trippieblue9207 They also got shut down a couple years ago to a 1 loss Bama team and blasted by LSU who could have easily lost this year to Auburn, Florida, and an Alabama team with a backup QB. If Clemson played in the SEC they may have went to the playoffs 1 out of the last 5 years, but they would've lost more than a couple road games to quality teams instead of eking out wins against Pittsburg, Wake Forest, and UNC.

Auburn Sherwood's fumble recovery and the draw play in the 2nd quarter should have been the catalysts for the win. But the ensuing play by LSU shut all that down.

@@amandaguillory6550 The most simpleton type take ive seen. Joe Burrow was 32/42 with 321 passing yards. It's just Auburn's redzone defense repelled LSU from the endzone and limited big plays down field. I believe Auburn had the best redzone defense that season in the SEC
this is the type of game that shows that in modern college football, you have to be able to score when you defense strings stops together. Offenses are too advanced (especially LSU this season) to expect your defense to be able to hold down the fort the whole game. That's always been true, but these days teams like LSU, OSU, Oklahoma, etc can score in an instant and at any time. You have to be able to make them pay when you get stops.
burrow is just so dead accurate not the huge arm but knows how to time up his receivers very very well

Score should have been something like 30-6. LSU had over 500 yards of total offense. Just a few bad 4th down decisions by Coach O that kept the score close.
Early drive stalled on 4 & 1 on the 29yd line (Didnt kick FG). Stingley gifted them a TD on the muffed Punt. LSU kicker missed PAT after a TD. We had another drive that stalled on the 1 yd line (Didnt kick FG)...and that BS Pass intereference call gave Auburn a late TD.
Auburn D-Line played a great game, though

If u used your eyes that PI call at the end of the game was technically holding if you really want to get technical here. By the time Seth Williams was 7 yards into his route Stingley (future NFL bust) was reaching for dear life. Ironic you complain about the refs when they were literally the reason you survived this game. I'm pretty sure Nick Coe, Marlon Davidson, Derrick Brown, and Big Kay Bryant still have stretch marks on their jerseys from how badly LSU was holding on to them, and getting away with it!

Unbiased buckeye fan here, but as bad as bo nix played auburn outplayed LSU majority of the game. Auburn had many chances to score against LSU but turnovers costed them the game and the momentum went away. LSU better step that defense up because Ohio State will eat them alive.
WHAT?!? No they didn’t. LSU shot themselves in the foot with penalties turnovers and bad red zone play. Burrow went for 321 and Clyde ran for like 130. LSU outgained Auburn 508-287. And Auburn got 111 off of two plays that they didn’t even turn into points. LSU did everything to keep them in the game and still got the W

Definitely knee was down with possession, but we also had several non holding calls so it's a wash. SEC refs are just terrible all around.

No they wouldn't have. (I mean sure if it was a top tier qb like Hurts, Tua, or Joe) They'd have passed the ball more instead of running up the middle. Running the middle didn't work at all but they kept doing it. I'm sure while they came to win they also didn't want to show off too many new plays for when they play bama. Because at the end of the day this game doesn't matter as much as Alabama, we could've lost this game and beat bama and we'd still 100% get into the playoffs. Also while I do gotta give credit to Auburn's defense, we still played a lot better than them overall just didn't have the points to show it (we missed 3 could have been touch downs because they kept running up the middle instead of letting burrow take care of things)
