- No. 2 LSU had a lot on its mind Saturday night inside Mercedes-Benz Stadium. In addition to ensuring it won the SEC Championship Game to capture its first league crown since 2011, finish the 2019 season undefeated and clinch a spot in the College Football Playoff, the Tigers wanted to make a statement to those that demoted it from the No. 1 ranking it held for a large part of the season. Statement made.

I’m a Tiger fan- and I believe our guys beat a very good team, this game. Georgia’s defense was stout up front, as we knew they would be. I think our defense was underrated- by the media only. We are healthy now, just in time for a title run. GEAUX TIGERS!!!!

LSU in this season was the greatest college football team I have seen in my lifetime so far and Joe Burrow was the greatest college quarterback I have ever seen and Ja'Marr Chase along with his fellow receivers for that LSU team was the greatest college wide receiver core I have ever seen. The fact they just literally ran through the SEC like it was the PAC 10 was unreal.

Thats the biggest misconception of the year. Coach O performed a little razzle dazzle and so folks focused on the offense and no one has really paid attention to the defense. They have held up when they'e had to. They havent been called upon much to win games. but i mean come on its LSU we didn't just forget how to play defense. also a couple of starters left mid season and had to get their backups up to par. and they just got Delpit back. we gonna be alright.
