One of the best deserts IN GENERAL. Only other desert levels I can think of that are even tolerable are from Kirby games. Never once have I actually liked a desert in a video game before Xenoblade Chronicles X.
+Henry Wong My first time playing when i reached Oblivia, i was exploring and when i saw the huge hole, the part at 0:16 played. I was blown away by the scale of the map, and how beautiful it looks, IT MADE A DESERT AREA FUN TO EXPLORE
Jillian Monks i think there is actually a Electromagnetic storm screen agument, but i know i dont have any and its probably a huge pain to make just like every other agument
My first experience coming to Oblivia during The Repair Job affinity quest: " Why is the rain hurting me? " ( Ends up dying in the rain ) " Where are the Cruise AIR deflectors? I can't find them anywhere... " ( I didn't even think about checking the blue crystals ) " Maybe the deflectors are down in that cloudy area. " ( Proceeds to fall to my death ) " If I hide, I can sneak past those overleveled enemies and that tyrant... " ( Proceeds to die to the enemies )
Came back since the Definitive Version was announced for the switch. I loved every second I spent on this game on the WiiU. I originally bought a wiiu for that game and boy was that a good choice!!
For me its this, I like em both trust me just, it might be the fact I'm attached to X or maybe its i like that beginning bit to it more then anything, or maybe because I can picture Oblivia in my head and its giving me an idea as to what to cause my players to suffer through when we play DnD, Any of these really could be the reason.
When I first went to Oblivia, it was like Chapter 2 or 3 (whatever it was before I found Tatsu). I started taking damage, so I thought I needed to get myself some sort of protective gear that would come up in later chapters. Then night fell, and I thought Oblivia was just cooler at night and hot in the day. Turns out I wasn't paying attention to the weather. Who knew that weather could do damage/debuffs considering in the last game it made for pretty effects?
Well, NLA's (Day) theme is alright, But Can't really stand NLA's (night) theme If you listen to Metropolis Speedway from Sonic Free Riders AND THEN listen to NLA's Day theme, You'll see why it's so catchy. xD Probably the ONLY theme in the game that reminded me of SEGA's music and they had awesome music too. That's what they were known for.
They’re fine but the game doesn’t continue tracks where they left off so the beginning plays thousands of times in a playthrough. Especially in a skell.
Vic I never got tired of the music in the older Zelda games because I loved it so much. I didn't get tired of any of the songs in this game (except for the New L.A. music) after hearing them for hours on end. They should have put background music in Breath of the Wild and just given you the option to turn it off if you got tired of it.
Nintendo didn't add much music to BotW because the setting is a destroyed Hyrule. Grand themes like the Hyrule Fields from Zelda games before just don't fit really well when the kingdom of Hyrule itself is basically destroyed.
ahh sandy bum canyon what a wasteland with the 3rd most epic theme in the game behind nightglow forest and the pollen sea ahead of hot lake valley and starglow peaks
+Edmund Lewandowski Wouldn't really fit as the battle theme (As much as I would like a different battle theme) i think it fits Oblivia's "This desert and everything in it are huge af" feeling quite well
I still think XBCX was some of the worst Hiroyuki Sawano music. He simply did not understand what kind of tracks should go into gameplay. This song is way too fast paced and repetitive. Primordias was also too short and fast paced. It needed to be slower and more drawn out because you spend so much time in these areas. I felt absolutely annoyed by the implementation of the soundtrack. I know he was capable of more, but what they let him do in this game was just kind of a travesty.
WE ARE SO BACK
one of the best dessert themes in gaming IMO
+Jojo39 Yeah my favorite this and 2nd place is gerudo valley from Ocarina Of Time
Tony Dávalos Camarena yeah, mine to :D
yeah, i mean desert. sorry, english isn't my native language
One of the best deserts IN GENERAL. Only other desert levels I can think of that are even tolerable are from Kirby games. Never once have I actually liked a desert in a video game before Xenoblade Chronicles X.
Very good video game soundtrack overall. I have this on my mp3 while jogging ^^
You can hear Hiroyuki Sawano at 1:22, I love how all of his songs have this unique yet similar sound/theme that really shows it’s his piece.
When I heard this for the first time, I was absolutely blown away.
+Henry Wong My first time playing when i reached Oblivia, i was exploring and when i saw the huge hole, the part at 0:16 played. I was blown away by the scale of the map, and how beautiful it looks, IT MADE A DESERT AREA FUN TO EXPLORE
Hell yes
It's so good here
Every time i go here theres always a electromagnetic storm, im not kidding its EVERY SINGLE TIME
Yes it's the same when I play itm
When I first got there and started taking damage, I thought I needed some kind of equipment to even set foot in the area.
Jillian Monks i think there is actually a Electromagnetic storm screen agument, but i know i dont have any and its probably a huge pain to make just like every other agument
shadowthephoenix1 Oh yeah I have one now, but I thought it was actually required to progress.
Jillian Monks ah i see, yeah i dont want to waste my agument space on one due to it being not too big of a deal

Nintendo NX Direct:

XENOBLADE CHRONICLES Y
We all wish
+Warrior Ahunter83 We get Xenoblade 2 though.
Still waiting
why
We live in hope...
6 years later and 1:22 still gives me goosebumps. Incredible track
I've had this theme as my Alarm since 2016. Still not tired of hearing it lol
man wakes up everyday ready to fight a level 90 tyrant irl
I don't like Oblivia.
It's coarse, rough, and irritating,
And it gets everywhere.
god damnit
lmao
it's even in space which makes this even better
Lil_A_20 2.0 comments like this are why I love being a nerd
Not like you.
When you hide from Barnabas, the Despot
He was the bane of my fun.

i just heard the news 🎉❤ im so happy i get to finish this game!
@GameOnShanny As you should! I am very excited for everyone to revisit Mira and for the people who never had the chance!

Damage
*5 minutes later, your character dies*
NOW THAT’S A LOT OF DAMAGE.
I'm playing this song when scaling Death Mountain on Breath of the Wild
This might just be the greatest zone theme in video game existence as of now.
Although I have to agree with you,Primordia is still pretty good imo.
It's high, but no. NieR: Automata desert beats everything
Cant decide whats better, this or Mor Ardain.
They both equally come into my head.
Can't wait to hear this on Switch
See you again in a few months, fellas

stylesrj weather is much different in xenoblade X
Marshall P
I learned that rather quickly.
By far the BEST area theme in the game!
Mor Ardain's older (and better) brother
And deadlier
My favourite theme in the game! Sometimes I'd go to Oblivia just to listen to the music
This is my favorite theme in the game
DAMN YOU ELECTROMAGNETIC STORMS
The song of me searching all of oblivia to be able to progress the game. Yet even through all that i still love this song, its so good
Is it just me or am I the only person in the universe who likes the NLA themes? Please don't hate me.
Well, NLA's (Day) theme is alright, But Can't really stand NLA's (night) theme

this game has something zelda BoTW dont have..... music
Hyrule Castle theme, KaraKara Bazaar, Akkala day theme; hell even Kilton's theme are all amazing.
for me only hyrule castle theme of these themes u said is memorable

This game is only 3 years old. Why is this already so nostalgic?
Funny thing about the pauses. In game they don't have any issue, when I'm just trying to listen to the song, they are incredibly annoying.
We are so back
the best track of the year
Ahhhh this is super nostalgic
Ah the one place where I struggled the most cuz I didn't know what grinding was
1:21-1:22 新しい世界を作る
1:48 the horn part in the middle sounds like the line "Look over there" from Don't Worry
Nonon Jakuzure called, she wants her theme song back
ahh sandy bum canyon what a wasteland with the 3rd most epic theme in the game behind
nightglow forest and the pollen sea ahead of hot lake valley and starglow peaks
Absolutely epic.
Nintendo why didn't you make this the battle theme
+Edmund Lewandowski Wouldn't really fit as the battle theme (As much as I would like a different battle theme) i think it fits Oblivia's "This desert and everything in it are huge af" feeling quite well
I was talking about the epic part
+Edmund Lewandowski Cause you're running around in this epic and dry expanse.
It's epic so you can feel the ADVENTURE™
+Edmund Lewandowski Maybe for next Smash Brothers game.
16ktsgamma If there is a next one...
Bester Wüsten Soundtrack aller Zeiten.
10/10
Low key thought they just re did the AOT theme
Es el mismo compositor
I can’t find those ouroboros blacelets. Please help me 🙁😫
Yes Sawano please make everything sound like it came from gundam unicorn!!! that is hella important!!!
I was sent here by ZeRo's outro music.
Sure beats both of those terrible NLA themes
I cant be the only one that hears Ali-A in the beginning....
