- Hey everyone back with more Scrap Mechanic Survival! Today Kosmo and I are going out exploring to check out the rest of our survival world! Originally we wanted to work on some base expansions but realized we need to get a few more materials so it was decided to go exploring instead!

More tires are due to the dmv requirements for weight carried on the roads. It spreads the weight out more and is supposed to cause less damages to the road.
It is also a safety measure. If one tire blows, there is still one there to help keep control to pull over

I like how kAN picks up gas that he can get in literally seconds but throws away fertilizer which is actually useful and quite difficult to get.

That reprogrammer sounds like something you'd only be able to acquire from the underground resources in the next chapter.
Also, bot spawning is prevented in a big radius when a player builds in an area or occupies the area.
regarding the idea of building a base in scrap city: easy solution to where to farm: basement foundation
I think reprogramming boys should be expensive I. Order to make it worth it. Biological predators would be good. There needs to be more water mobs and a way to get rid of small bushes to make a field.
Make a transport in the sky from. Your water source. You can make it look like an aqueduct.

The heybot is like "nope. i'm takeing care of this WHEAT" lol love you guys. You make me smile kAN
build in one of those pits, roof off you farm at ground level, and do the floor in warehouse keys so the big reds don't break it by walking. raids no longer matter. you could build a fully auto farm in every empty pit, build the rest of your stuff on top of the terrain buildings with elevators, nothing would be vulnerable.
Scrap city boss idea, a "high ranking" boss bot that lives in maybe a penthouse, can spawn or summon butler bots, butler bots are maybe kinda like the greenies with the whip. Boss bots main attack could be something like a ranged weapon.
@kAN Gaming, you should reconfigure your exploration trike a bit, and take advantage of the tweaking to add a chest.
Set it up double-front like a Can-Am, and it should be more stable in turns and while braking. Play with bearings and/or pistons to shift the weight while turning to help even more. Maybe even add a cook bit as a pillion.

How cool would it be if Scrap City was the only way to get super component kits that were necessary for the last 2 upgrades of any part (eg engines/seats/etc), might make scrap city feel more monumental
You could have the best clothes, the biggest farm and the best base, and you still would have a spork / fork in your refining stick

When I started my most recent base the plan was to be within render distance of oil, chemicals and water. Found a good spot and now I have infinite concrete and fliers are viable!

Also if i was kasmo i would 1 make oil pound into gas station were “ me and kan “ will fuel up are cars using vacuum pumps and / having a garage at it were “ we “ wil make cars . Then 2 make a rebuild on vehicles that don’t have a gas tank ( also to make the vehicle drive better / go faster / fix handling issues , and 3 make a crop duster with engine( for on ground/controller also ok ) , thrusters , gas tank(s) ( depends on how made ) , spud guns ( for boss hunts) and bubble blocks ( so you can land on water and use emergency thrusters).

I do have this 'theory' that the NPC trader is the bad guy of Scrap Mechanic Survival.
I'm convinced that at some point he reprogrammed all the bots to harvest all the crops for him. That's why they attack Wocs and the player, like they're not actually trying to kill you, they're trying to harvest you like a crop due to a bug in the reprogramming or something. It would explain the caged farmers, they not really caged they've just been harvested and packaged ready for collection just like the beets and bananas and what not.
Well since it was the farmers that probably built the farmbots I think it would be cool if - using SUPER high level crops - you could get the trader (who we know was probably also a farmer before the bot uprising) to build a bot that would fight or farm for you
And I'm not talking about just broccoli and pineapple. You would need peppers, some kind of new dragon fruit crop and whatever else expensive you can find
I have an idea: do a battle, in Multiplayer Monday, in scrap city, you empty it out, and the use te big green boxes to put weapons, you can use t-shirts to know the teams
Another good spot for a base (or at least a farm) is the fsrmer hideout because you basically only have to protect the entrance, because the hideout is walled out by the mountains.
Build your base at that treatment plant!!! I’d be the coolest!!!!! No one I’ve seen has ever done it!!!!

having a dually pickup helps with hauling stuff alot aswell as giving more traction while u are doing so plus most duallys are diesel
5:10 and it’s like “real steel” where you have to avoid spotlights (can only go at night or else your in for a bad time) and robots, and then you can also steal robot parts and then, hear me out.. you can build your own robots to work for you, like you can build a farmbot to farm for you and protect from raids.

One thing I'd love to see is a rebalance on the furl consumption of thrusters. For one simple but cool reason.

Imagine you got a pilot, and a gunner, the gunner in a turret pod gunning down farmbots from above.
The scrap city has alternative "variants", it's not a static tile like ruins or mechanic shop are. Maybe that's why it seems different to what you are used to.
There should be a Spuder Rifle, designed specifically for long range but with a lower firing rate than other spud guns. It could 1 shot greenies and tape bots, and be useful when taking on red guys, until they come into close range.
The dually trucks came from load capacity of the tires so the only way to get the towing capacity of what the trucks were capable of, the rear tires needed to be doubled so the tires could handle the road
You guys should do like an off-road apocalipse bus that has the craft bots and chests and crafting stuff were you guys take it anywhere to grind materials. You guys can use the drills on front like a snow plow in an apocalipse vehicle to recolect wood and stone. This is just a suggestion
I think when the quests come out there should be a way to go to a different bit of land so when your done exploring this bit you’d be able to go to this bit of land. There should also be more things to do with corn and a spud sniper rifle.
a completely customizable spud gun that you can give different barrels or sights but the more attachments the more spuds would be needed to shoot it

21:41 looking over to the side would be a good spot for a farm it’s a hill making it harder for bots to get up and there’s water near by to use a vacuum plus the wall which isn’t destructive that I know of, would require minimum security and pretty sure there’s a chemical pond within the place

It would be cool if there was a spud sniper that does lots more damage but has a slow fire rate (like 1 spud per 2-5 seconds or something) and makes the spud have a much higher velocity, resulting in less drop over long distances

regarding the desire to see the occasional haybot actually farming: have you not noticed the haybots occasionally herding cattle?
I always wanted to say this: I wanna play with u guys sooo badly cause none of my friends play scrap mechanic and don’t wanna get it cause they say it’s “dumb”. But it’s not dumb tho. :c

I built my base right behind scrap city. Real easy to farm hay bots for component kits.
If I ever get to playing scrap mechanic, ima make one of those small towns my home, and just build it up
11:58 Not sure if I had spudgun at that point (might still not have on my series save) or just didn't use it/was out of ammo, but I remember surviving in the scrap city pretty good with just a hammer.
You guys should build a pipeline from the oil pond to your base for ease of access.

If I could add something to scrap mechanic I'd add robot manufacturing plants. So if you kill a bot a new one is made and sent there and when farming is detected they are sent there so if you like clear a wearhouse and put up defences you could have a wearhouse base or something.

Chapter 2 could be years away, they're the slowest 'active' dev team in the world I wouldn't worry about it yet. They said they were working on it a year ago, doubt it's anywhere near ready.
@NoiH gann Well that's kinda bad planning then really, and, all the updates are slow, not just survival. 00Fant makes mod packs for the game quicker on his own than their whole team do in months
They should make the survival map bigger and make the scrap city bigger, or maybe do a procedurely gen'd type of thing (that would be cool)

I prefer hitting the hay bots with a hammer for conserving ammo since they are small hinge men of the farmbot
grow on a plateau, its the best way to grow food in this game, never worry about bots again

Has anyone told you how well the music that you use (like the relaxing one at the start) fits very well?
