You are all winners I love the program ,Dom nice car show not an ECU to be seen on those lovely old motors fantastic keep them coming Dom top lad 👍👨🏻🏭
Seeing so many of the stars of The Repair Shop together reminds you that at the core of it are good people trying to bring people's history back to life for them. It is full of old values as well as traditional skills. Thank you for bringing that bit of brightness into our lives and you’re all winners no matter who the BAFTAs go to.
Lovely video again Dom. Sorry to hear that you didn't get your well deserved BAFTA. But it was great to see you all together to enjoy the evening and occasion together. 🥂👍
Great video Dom. Bicester looks terrific. I am in the process of organising a trip to the UK (when Covid is sorted) to show my French friends Brooklands and Bicester. The Heritage centre looks like a dream world! Congratulations on being nominated for there BAFTAs. Would it be possible please to ask Steve if he know where I could get my elderly Shoolbred fusee clock repaired. I have tried to get it repaired here in France but they made a complete dogs breakfast of it. Keep up the good work.
Made me chuckle at 5:06 Dom. I've been to a lot of car shows but since in I'm the U.S. I'm not sure I'll get a chance to visit Bicester Heritage so thank you for sharing this vlog. Oh, and you and Will toasting 11:32 ...priceless!
Well done on the BAFTA nomination, as you say, it's yours next year. Before you get to far down the road with Ranalah how about a repair shop spinoff documentary for television following your progress with the project - something like ' Ranalah - rebirth of a legend'. I'm sure it would be popular with watchers of The Repair Shop.
we have all said it would make a brilliant tv show, it’s not that easy to just make one though unfortunately! I am enjoying making it for TH-cam though
Sunday night ritual is established: Countryfile, Antiques Roadshow, recording of this weeks Repair Shop, then Dom’s upload before lights out. Splendid! Night all!
Congratulations on the nomination. Repair Shop couples the love of and fascination with expertise, together with (and this is a wholehearted compliment) the closest thing to a live action re-boot of Bagpuss.
Congratulations on being BAFTA nominated. Great to see those heritage motors at Bicester. Had the pleasure of driving an Austin Healey Sprite around Castle Coombe circuit twenty five years ago. Great little cars.
I’ve been a car fan for many years (don’t have a driver’s license) but ow what a view of those cars!!!! Being a female F1 fan is sometimes weird but my heart skipped some beats!! As always much ❤️ from 🇳🇱
Bicester is amazing isn't it? I went a few times pre COVID and I've marshalled and co-driven on historic rallies there recently.......it's so good how they've left a lot of the architecture original. I love the fact that you walk around a building and find hidden gems parked up.......looing forward to returning soon!
Can’t believe I’ve missed out on the Bicester Heritage centre, I’ll be off there soon! The Austin 7 made me chuckle with the horn virtually the same size as the engine block😊. Fantastic to see another Ranalah and painted just as you described. BAFTA for next year then Dom, I mean you can’t let that suit go to waste😉
Hi Dom. well that was a great car day & as far as i am concerned you should have won the Bafta there is nothing that beats your program at The Repair Shop. Take care to you all.
Great video. Bicester heritage open day looked great. Coincidentally I was there a few weeks ago with my dad who was dropping off some classic bicycles there. It looks like an interesting place. I didn’t know about the open day otherwise I would have loved to visit. Keep the great videos coming.
awesome video dom what a shame you guys didn't win the bafta award maybe next time but spending time with you looking at all them classic items including cars was amazing man thanks for posting :)
A great video Dom, thank you. The Heritage Centre looked most interesting and definitely on my list for a future visit. Sorry about the BAFTA but being nominated was an honour and the Repair Shop (in my view) is still the best show on the television. Kind regards, Richard.
Looks like a great weekend. Hard luck on the Baftas, The Repair Shop deserved it in my opinion but hey, thats life. Loving the videos. What a great TH-cam channel this is.
Lovely to glimpse the traction engine at that event, and I have noticed the odd one appear fleetingly in Repair Shop programmes (I did go to a steam rally held there a few years ago) - knowing your passion for historic engineering have you thought about getting involved in working with such machines or even restoring one - mind you not a cheap pastime
Loved the Frogeye Sprite, it needs a sympathetic restoration but keep all the cool stuff, maybe even convert it back to left hand drive to make it a rare car, great video Dom will have to try and get to Bicester one year
Who are these Bafta people, certainly not in tume with the rest of the country, you're all winners in my book. Keep up with these vlogs Dom, just loving your enthusiasm. 👍🏻❤
another great vid mate… all the nice comments from the folk you met at Bicester were well deserved…keep it up…. The repair shop is the only thing Worth watching whatever the BAFTA suits say😃👍👍
Great video, thanks Dom. The Repair Shop is the most entertaining show on TV and easily deserves a BAFTA. I'm really looking forward to seeing how you recreate a Ranalah English Wheel as I've watched one being used and it's a real art. I was at Bicester on the following day (Sunday) and it was great to be out at a car event again.
Superb vlog, watching this and as you're walking around the Bicester show, I'm reminded how much I've missed car shows and meets over the last year. Bicester is on my visit list now. Shame about the Bafta but the nomination means Repair Shop is being noticed and gaining fans at an exponential rate so as you say - there's always next year.
That was fantastic Dom, thank you for showing us all those beautiful cars, such a nice day too.. would love to see a video at the training school.. “a day in the life of an Apprentice.. In 2021”??
You didn’t win a bafta, but congratulations to jay for his gong. He’ll be insisting you all call him sir whilst you vigorously tug on your forelocks when you see him next 🤣🤣
Bicester looked absolutely brilliant Dom - certainly a dream location for all petrol heads 👌😊 thanks for sharing another brilliant video - Very disappointed that TRS didn't win- but keeping fingers crossed for you all at the NTA Awards later this year 🤞🤞🤞😊
Wow, I get to make the first comment. You and Matthias Wandel have cost me a bit of cash. I watch your videos, become inspired and realize I lack a required tool and either buy one or as in the newest project aka mini wood lathe I buy the bits I need to make it with. Thanks....
Bicester heritage looks incredible, looks like you were in heaven! Lovely to see the Team all dressed up and able to socialize for the BAFTAs. It’s a shame you didn’t win but great to be nominated. Looking forward to the next video!
Hello Dom, Another cool Vlog. You don't need a BAFTA to know how much people enjoy what you do. I think the comments on your video are enough cheers Simon
That was Brilliant Dom!!!! You guys deserved that Bafta, congrats on the nomination. Next year it will be the Repair shops award!. I feel it in my blood bro!
Loved this video. Husband has decided we definitely need to visit Bicester now. Also enjoyed the BAFTA section. Stayed at that hotel 2 weeks ago, Genuinely don’t understand how you didn’t win . Enjoy your last few weeks of filming and the break afterwards.
Loved the last christmas special, would like to see one where you all get together to make something new for a good cause to keep, or sell (via Antiques Road Trip ? )
My father had one of those - it did not want to go up steep hills with two adults and two small children. Passengers often had to get out and walk - and push !!
Can't wait for the day when we here in Canada can be "open for business" again. Just came out of a 3rd total lockdown after 2 months a few days ago and we are still only in phase one.. Seeing your video and people enjoying their day is heart warming to see and makes me think the future is bright. Great Video!
What a great day out. Not surprised you drained the battery. Shame about the BAFTAs but you and the rest of the gang from TRS are all winners in my book. 👏
@@DominicChineas Heyford was huge, they had thier own base ball ground and ten pin bowling alleys there. If I recall the F111s would have a concrete Hanger each.

You polished up rather nicely, Dom! Just like me, however, it doesn't feel natural to be in smart clothing without a bit of dirt and grease under one's nails!
Awards are great but I don't think you guys need them. For one they are new and have no place in anyone's workshop and secondly the thing that makes the Repair shop so great is how down to earth you all seem to be. Good luck for next year though and please buy another battery :D
You are all winners I love the program ,Dom nice car show not an ECU to be seen on those lovely old motors fantastic keep them coming Dom top lad 👍👨🏻🏭

Thanks, it was so nice to be able to stand near each other again!
Love how you are just you. Down to earth. Not pretending to be anyone but yourself even though you are famous now 😁
I just enjoy what I’m doing! Thank you
Great one Dom, that open day looked brilliant. Looked a bit like Goodwood Revival. congrats on the nomination, well deserved. Andy UK
Lovely video again Dom. Sorry to hear that you didn't get your well deserved BAFTA. But it was great to see you all together to enjoy the evening and occasion together. 🥂👍

Such a nice video, thanks. You looked like you all had fun, and wonderful to be nominated.
Fantastic vid, my great grandfather was a blacksmith in Glenarm, Co. Antrim, last century. Love to keep stuff working.

Dom, just keep this up, great content!!
Thank you! I’m doing my best! Glad you like it

I used to own the MG midget PAA130M! Do you remember who's workshop it was in?
As always, great vlog Dom. BAFTA should have been Repair Shop's. Bicester looks good -must take a trip there.
Where are you with the Ranalagh?
Thank you!
There is a ranalah update coming next Sunday.. some good progress!
👍👍
What a great day out. Not surprised you drained the battery. Shame about the BAFTAs but you and the rest of the gang from TRS are all winners in my book. 👏
Thank you! My batteries were drained after the weekend too!
@@DominicChineas I’m not surprised 😀
8:21 Now that was a disappointment not much shown of the Velocette engine.
@dominicchinea Muira SV at 6:05!
Where was BAFTA Day hosted? I grew up in England back in the 1970s.
Sorry never even heard of the show until now. Where can we see the show?
The repair shop? It’s on bbc1 you can get it on catchup on iplayer
Is that the old Upper Heyford site where the F111 bombers were based?
It is just on the outside of Bicester to the north.
I’m not actually sure what they use to keep there, big things though! The hangers were massive

Someone needs to point him in the direction of Edd China. I imagine they might get on quite well!
I think Doms doing quite well on his own.
Haha thank you! I’m just doing what I always have done, just enjoying myself!
Thanks so much
Great vlog Dom shame that you all didn't win that bafta award
Hello Dom,
Good video... out of interest do the Ranalah's come in different size casting?
Take care.

Hi, no they are all the same!
@@DominicChineas Thank you.
What equipment are you using to film this?
A Sony Zv-1 it’s a lovely camera!
@@DominicChineas And is it hand held, or on a stabilising gimbal?
Well done on the nomination. The whole team deserve one. Who voted for long lost families anyway! 😂.
Keep up the good work.
Robbed of a BAFTA. Repair Shop, easily the best programme on television.
Repair shop should have won!
Tell me about it! Haha next year!
You brush up quit well dom lol
