MATRA DJET! Why oh why did I not buy that orphaned Djet I found behind a body shop 30 years ago!? Prolly because I was 6'3" and wieghed as much as the front third of that car. So glad to see one in this vid
Dom, I agree, that Menasco Pirate was absolutely the most gorgeous car there! That wind tunnel style air cooling duct was stunning. As an American and car show aficionado, I wanted to point out probably the most out of place vehicle there, The early 70's C/K pickup. I know that as a general rule, full size American trucks have never had much of a following in the UK, but I was pleasantly surprised to see that one there and in such superb condition. Thank you for sharing this event with us.
Bantam has a cool look, would like to see it run. I used to love going to Old Warden when you could see the vehicles and planes doing what they were ment to do, drive and fly and not just static exhibits.
Nice to see the old world skills (hand crafting panels, rebuilding old engines etc) are still being kept alive along with the enthusiasm. Hopefully, once this Covid thing is out the way I can restart my Bantam D3 swingarm restoration in honor of my dearly departed Dad (Bought it when I was 17 as a wreck and we did a 'student resto' to get it on the road, now 50+. There is light at the end of a very long tunnel and these videos have relit that want (income allowing)! Good on you, Maddog Melbourne Aus.
Looks like an amazing meet. Love to see the electric conversions, very tempted after my local kwackfit said they couldn't fully diagnose my engine fault light until an expert comes by once a week and my ODB2 attempt wouldn't even connect . Great video.
It was so foggy first thing, but the weather was wobderful from 11 o'clock onwards. Nice to meet you near the end if the day, Dom. See you at the next Scramble when I'll be there with my 64 Cobra in the HSA display. Clive
Cheers Dom for sharing your day. Some beautiful cars and your lovely Bantam. There is nothing like a car show in the UK. As I live in France I am hopefully going to Circuit des Remparts d'Angoulême this year which apparently is amazing the town is full of every car you can imagine from all over the world and the big plus is that they race them around the town. Fingers crossed it's not cancelled this year.
Great walk around thank you. Love your approach to your channel and the warmth and generosity of spirit with which you approach everything you do. Best of luck with it all!
I'm not a big fan of cars, motorbikes etc. but I do like the idea of converting them to electric motors. It could save a fair amount of scrapping older models. Bonus, with the old spoked wheels - you could make a clip to hold playing cards in all four! 💚🐇🐴💚
Wow petrol heaven! now on my list of places to go. Thanks Dom. I also have a Bantam (1950 D1) and of all the bikes I have owned gives plenty of smiles per miles... second only to a 1941 despatch riders BSA M20 I once had, fires once every lamp post 😉
I could wander around that place for hours! That MGB towards the end caught my eye as I’m resuscitating a ‘71 GT after it sat in a garage for 34 years. If you see it again and get a chance to talk to the owners, I’d love to hear the story on it.
For various reasons many people like me will never get to Bicester Scramble.... so your video allows us to share in the enjoyment of being there... that pointy silver one with the massive engine and the pushbike wheels... you’d have to be mad to get in that! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Saw you chatting, but you looked in deep conversation! Did you see those Bentley gearboxes lined up, can't remember the company? I don't think it was the same shop where you filmed the Bentley engines. Just beautiful, works of art.
lovley video Dom thanks. Never been there and I never knew it existed, hopefully next year I might be able to make the trip up (from Kent ). Really like your videos the Ranalah set was brilliant, looking forward to more of them. Keep up the good work Dom really enjoyable...thanks
Great video, Dom. Did you locate the Ranalah or did you just have too many distractions on the day? Maybe you'll have to go back another time to look for it - Damn 🙂
The bare-bones Rolls Royce is how the original cars were finished. Your 'man' (butler) would collect it & drive it to your coach-builder to put a body on it.
@@DominicChineas The Brooklands museum has an English Wheel in their 'Aircraft Workshop' display however it is fabricated rather than cast lie a Ranalah. Might be worth including in your video if you go to the Brooklands Museum.

Thanks for taking the time to make the video. Great selection of automotive gems.
Nice walk in the countryside......... now a cup of tea and a catch up with Dom. Now thats a Sunday.
What a fantastic place, with Fabulous vehicles. Cheers Dom 😊👍 great videos

Thanks for filming my 16 year olds 2cv engine display in the Heritage Academy workshop, it really made his day.
Glad to hear it! I heard he knows his way around one of those engines! Great stuff

Great vlog Dominic, thanks. I love that music. Cheers, Johnny.
Super video, nice to see the interest old cars have these days.😁😁
Those old race cars are cool, but I really love those quirky european bubble cars and micro cars from the post-war era.
Wow that looks an amazing day out !
Brilliant...really enjoyed that, cheers Dom !
Looked a good day Dom , Not sure about electric classics , Hows the 356 coming on ?

Thank you I’ll look into it

Great vid Dom. Did you find the Ranalah 👍
Great to meet you. Come for a drive!
Nice to meet you too! I’d love to one day! Thank you for your time
Great video again 😉. Did you track down that Ranalah?
Hi,Edd China did the electric motor job on a ice cream van,was a transit van, then once he got the record for it converted it back.
thanks for sharing
Dom, can you please post an update on the Porsche?
Great stuff!
Fascinating and lovely; what WAS that number 88 at 3.20 (the thin ally bodied thing with very narrow tyres)?

They have moved it to there workshops at brooklands! Perfect excuse to go and film there…
Another great video Dom.
Thank you
Dom, I really enjoyed the video. Good music, but I think it was mixed too loud relative to your voice. Love all your videos!
Just about the one minute mark there are a few seconds of footage of a GN1 cycle car. Does anyone know what that v-twin engine is?
There is a company on you tube called vintage voltage that do conversions to electric
Great video keep up the great work

Disappointed to find out that the next Scramble is already sold out . . . . I'll keep an eye on future dates - it's got to be a great day out.
Is it sold out already?!
You can join the waiting list, quite often more pop up

Did you find the Ranala at Bicester.?
No! They have moved it to there workshops at brooklands! I’ll try to visit soon
Aww, we didn’t get to see the Bantam running.
Never heard of this event, looks great, when’s the next one?
The end of April!

No! They have moved it to there other facility at brooklands!
I need to visit there clearly

Hi Dom - I have an Electric MG - it has a range of 200m
200 metres wow!

Looked like a good day out only spoiler why did that guy think it was ok to sit on your bantam hate that great video
Haha no it’s ok he did ask!! That would have been a bit rude!
Wow! A few bone shakers there. 😂
Wish I could of been there but the MOT had first dibs on my wallet😢😊👍🇬🇧
Sweet🍬
Did the Bantam not behave itself then ?.
Made it walk as punishment ?
It’s just a pain to start it up!
Great content, shame about that annoying music...
Toys for boys of any age
Dom! The music is so repetitive I can't watch any more of this one!
shame that they ruined the Porsche with an ev engine
Nice BUT very boring music
