ETABs tutorial video 6 | How to aasign Diaphragms in ETABs | Common mistakes | Nilesh Jha

This video contains the guide on correct way of assigning diaphragms on different floors of the building.
While assigning diaphragms, in many cases, yo will find students doing common mistakes, because of which there is diaphragms error in analysing the building in etabs. So, here in this video I have came up with the correct method of applying diaphragms.
What is the meaning of Diaphragms?
Diaphragm is a horiontal or nearly horizontal system, which transmits lateral forces to the vertical resisting elements, for example, reinforced concrete floors and horizontal bracing system. These vertical elements resist earthquake-induced inertia effects.
correct way of selecting horizontal nodes:
goto select:-select:-coordinate specification:-click joint in xy or whichever plane you want...after that goto plan view or elevation, wherever you are working, if in plan view, click on any joint and all the horizontal nodes will be selected on that level...and if in elevation, click on any joint of any specific level, and same is the result as earlier..

Namaskar sir .. I learned to model with your tutorials but in last when i edited all the warnings and try to run the analysis .. the model runs the analysis but doesnot show any deflection and i couldnot carry any further works ...
