  • Etabs 2015 tutorial 4 deals with the analysis and design of the commercial building model.
    The topics disscussed are listed below:
    (1) Analysis 0:30
    (2) Time period 1:50
    (3) Support reactions 3:14
    (4) Frame reactions 4:34
    (5) Design 6:25
    In analysis,tutorial explains about the model check that the model has to undergo before the analysis to make sure that the model is free from errors.
    In time period,steps to find the find the time period of the model for each mode cases are explained.
    In support reactions,tutorial explains how to find the support reaction values under the points where the support are assigned.The support reactions are used in design of foundation.
    Under frame reactions ,the steps are discussed to display the shear force and bending moments of the beam elements of the model.This section also explains how to find axial forces for the columns.
    In Design,the steps required to generate design reports are for each section elements in etabs 2015 are explained.

    Hi,
    In this model before analysis you have to fix the base. ( Restrains)
    And you have done a best presentation....

    All these five videos of etabs are excellent. Also make a video for design of the foundation(Raft) of the building in safe by transfeering the base reactions from etabs to safe.

    Sir , the values of BM, SF , Axial forces ets given by etabs after design, can we know whether those values are right n can be considered for execution..?
    coz in etabs as we know for the things which we don't define or specify , it automatically takes up some dummy or default values..

    • @Tet44iz
      @Tet44iz 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      If it is a one way slab the moment is along the shorter span , if it’s a two way slab the moment should be along both spans in the X,Y directions , the moment are calculated through the supports if you know the supports moment’s that should be the slab moments as well .

    Hey Bro, I just had a question for you. My building shows, Ground floor column rebar is less than Higher floor columns in ETABS... how to solve this problem?

    • @rajeshpullat
      @rajeshpullat 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      it might be the real case....due to moments columns in roof level could have higher reinforcement than lower level columns

    • @prafullagartaula123
      @prafullagartaula123 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@rajeshpullat considering the whole building as a cantilever with fixed support on the ground, moment would be maximum at the bottom floor. How on earth would the top floor column require more reinforcement than the bottom floor column??

    • @rajeshpullat
      @rajeshpullat 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@prafullagartaula123 if you have long span beams, the end moments will be transferred to column. This can cause large moments in end columns and columns at top will be affected more

    • @rajeshpullat
      @rajeshpullat 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      one more thing, this is more relevant for small buildings, like less than may be 5 storeys or so. But, if the building is tall normally the axial forces govern and you will see larger reinforcement in lower level columns than upper level. Even then, the top most floor column might show slightly larger reinforcement than the ones just below it.
