    Also, if you want to REALLY improve your excel skills, highly recommend either the Excel or Financial Modeling courses at Wall Street Prep! I dug into these courses myself and really like how the modeling course has you dig into real financial statements to build models, which is exactly what I did at JPM.

      Just an FYI, I learned this by forcing myself to do it in school (Any Excel assignment, I made sure to not touch the mouse). The beginning is brutal cause you'll go really slow/very frustrating, but once you get it, it's muscle memory and you'll HATE using the mouse. Long run it's worth it (till Excel's obsolete).
      Also alt + D when you're on the internet gets you directly to the search bar which has been helpful.

    For the paste special short-cut, you can actually do crtl+Alt+V. It's smoother than alt+e+s since we are all used to crtl V.

    • @AdityaKumar-iy3oq
      @AdityaKumar-iy3oq ปีที่แล้ว +2

      one advantage of alt+e+s+v over ctrl+alt+v is that you dont have to hold all the keys at the same time i.e. you can press Alt > e > s > v in a sequence but you have to press ctrl, alt and v key at the same time. Its a bit more comfortable and baby proof :)

      wall street prep reached out to me and i looked into their courses and liked how their financial modeling package went directly into company financial statements while modeling which financial edge didn't do. they also have a lot more courses that cover a ton of different industries and topics so i liked that as well.
      in the end though, i think both are great companies and you can't go wrong with either! i just liked WSP more so decided to only partner with them now

    Maybe I don't understand excel because I usually use R, but aren't you worried about corrupting the raw data? I prefer to import and do stuff so I can never accidentally overwrite it. I know you always keep a data backup but it just seems like solving the problem is so much harder once something breaks than if you use a programming language
