- India’s most successful entry level hatchback - Alto was launched today at a starting price of Rs 3.99 lacs (ex-showroom). Whereas the top-end variant costs Rs 5.83 Lakh (ex-showroom). Besides the new 5th gen heartect platform, the 2022 Alto K10 has received the updated 1.0L K10C engine that produces around 67bhp and 89Nm. It can be had with either a 5-speed Manual or a 5-speed AMT (AGS). As per ARAI it returns around 24.9kmpl of mileage, thus making it one of the most fuel efficient cars in its category. The CNG version is expected to launch later this year.

Pricing is done in way to push customers for Vxi and Vxi+ varients, at this exshowroom price Buying ignis is better option which starts at 5.17 exshowroom. One can get better engine, bigger 15'' tyres, fog lamp option and more spacious cabin. Ignis might not look gud but is still better looking then this Alto
Alto Vxi+ has music system and it's priced at 5.33 exshowroom ,16k more than ignis, for 20k a decent Android music system can be installed. On the up side with ignis one can get better boot space , bigger fuel tank , height adjustable headrest, tilt steering adjustment , body coloured orvms, larger wheelbase , higher ground clearance (very much needed for Indian conditions) and 1200 cc engine will be better with four passengers and AC compared to 1000cc . Overall it's better value for money and more versatile. But still it's upto people as looks are very subjective .
@Sayamdip Roy in noida ignis base model is 5.80 lakh on road after discount. By paying 22k extra you will get remote central locking system, infotainment touch screen system with support Android and iOS with 2 speakers, revers parking camera, wheel caps and floor mat. I just bought it and I'm happy with my decision.

Clean and elegant design; ALTO look good.. Instead of focusing on faltu details, Maruti should give importance to SAFETY by using thick steel frame and steel sheets plus good quality Tyres, and hill assists kind of features which are essential for driving. We do not require 6 Airbags, or Sterio but we should remain ALIVE if small accidents happen especially in the rainy season.
I think Rear Camera Missing in top line varriant as usual .

Ignis Sigma seems to be a better package compared to this now. 5.49-5.8 is too much for the features they offer.
Hoping that company will update the ignis with the new 1.2L engine offered on wagon r and with minor tweets to make it look more SUVish..... Thats what i will prefer over the new K10..... Even if it cost 1 lakhs more
