@@prernamahajan4360 tea actually and baking soda both have their importance on this recipe. Once I tried without soda n once with it can easily see the difference in color of the recipe. But for the tea I have used it every time. Even in chole I use it. Colorwise n also taste wise it has its effect. I love it.

One tip - dont boil the soya chunks, instead just soak it in lukewarm water for 10 minutes, and see the difference in taste, almost a very close substitute to meat, if you boil it will be as soft as any other leafy vegetable aur uppar se soda my God, all the texture already gone....

@@prernamahajan4360 Hi, Prerna I indeed used them and the bitterness/rawness of the tea water improved the taste to next level. And I guess soda was just to add color. I liked the taste alot. Only addition I made was, I boiled soyabean for a little longer
