I liked the Marshall a bit more, but wouldn't expect for them to sound so different from each other. The Orange was very bright and clear, while the Marshall sounded more "robust" and full of tones. But both were nice (the very skilled player helped a lot in that department 😂), I guess it would depend on what kind of sound you'd be interested in getting.

The orange makes it sound more like an acoustic guitar, but it seems like the harmonics come thru better on the marshall. I recommend a stereo setup with both amps angled toward eachother slightly and the mic positioned in the path where the waves intersect. However, I'm no expert😂
Orange is fuller but lacking in highs while the Marsh has highs quality it sounded kind of tinny? If I were to use one of these it would be Orange!! Maybe both amps wired together?
They both got things I like. I think I'd personally go with the orange cuz it feels less compressed audio wise. Idk if that's a good description of what I mean but hopefully it's understandable
pro tip. move the microphone dangerously close to the speaker diaphragm. that's what they do in advertisements for amplifiers to deceive them into thinking they sound better. it brings out the low frequencies. Besides, I'm curious what they would sound like after removing the noise. another thing is that the orange one is bigger and that adds to the lows.
I have the orange amp and it’s such a cool amp! Went to a music camp and didn’t want to tote an amp around, so I bought this little thing and it sounded really good for its size through my PRS. Only downside was it was pretty quiet when you wanted a clean sound and the only way to make it louder was to turn up the gain

The marshal sounds more hollow, tinny plastic. The orange has more resonance, giving off more of a sold sound. Of course big stack Marshall amps have that solid full body resonance sound. How about Peavy, Cramer, or Trainer?
i have the orange one and it’s very simple but sounds great in high-gain settings! i use it with my gibson for some bright and chonky post-hardcore tones
Well they both sound small and boxy , the extra effects did a good job hiding that , yet after seeing what a small and cheap amp can do on the song silhouettes on the Woe to the vanquished album ( by warbringer ) I truly believe that those sounds mixed in with any other amp can sound amazing
I used to hook up my vox AC30 amplug to a Logitech Bluetooth speaker auxiliary input. It was awkward but it sounded much better than both of these. The high end was sparkly af.
I've got the marshall ms-2 but would have gone for the orange if I had of tried them out first. As a portable jam amp though, the marshall still holds up, takes pedals really well too.
The black star fly craps on all of the other amps in this price range has effects delay and OD and can be paired with an adjacent cab that doubles the wattage fromn3 to 6 watts
I kinda wanna buy both of these. I don’t need a small amp like this I have the small spark amp and I love it. I just want it from a collectors stand point
I own one of those mini Marshalls I love it death I I've also had a mini honeytone highly recommend them kinda have a vintage sound, lots of tone options but definitely the orange sounds better in my opinion

It's very tricky to do this. Buying two cheap amplifiers and testing them for clean sound is brilliant. Combis are mainly bought for overloading and so on.Any speaker from China can also sound clear. Personally, I think the test is useless. But the sound on the Marchelle is better for me
I like the Orange more...which actually isn't a surprise to me. I have both an Orange head & a Marshall head and I use the Orange at home almost exclusively now
I did try a bunch of these and bought both the Orange and the Blackstar Fly 3. They each have positive things going for them. The Orange amplifier is a decent mini crunch sound at low volume but the headphones jack gets stuck if you leave them plugged in too long and then it only works with headphones
guess it depends how you want it to sound. I feel like orange has more resonance and bass while marshall would have more panned audio more sharp... I like orange it'd have a wider range of sound
The best mini amp is Donner, 50€, usb rechargeable battery, 5w, roughly 5 hours of life. It got a decent sound and on low/mid volume can be easily compared to a valvestate amp.
I much preferred the orange amp although Marshal has what you would look for in more punchy and more harsh kind if tones the irange is smoother and clearer with more of a rounded sound rather then the sharpness if the Marshal i do like the marshal tho just prefer orange

They aren’t better or worse, they are just different. The orange has a more punchy strat like sound and the marshal is more warm like humbuckers.

That can cause phasing issues. And most mics used for amps are directional, so one amp would sound muffled while the other much clearer.

First one had way too much compression for a clean tone, I love orange tbf but it sounded better aside from harmonics

Both sounds good, orange has a different mid profile in their sound, with sparkle.
I had the orange amp forever as my lazy practice amp, it sounded decent with pedals and overdrive plus plugging it into a cab on a single 9V is cool.

Im old so I have a deep love for Marshall's however my last band used Orange and they are incredible without a doubt.
Marshall had more high end but was overall much muddier than the orange. The orange just sounded so much cleaner.
