Doesn't the PS4 controller use micro USB so you don't have to worry about this? I don't play Playstation so I have to use an even worse connector than mini USB thanks Microsoft.
@@bland9876 yea it does use micro usb but micro usb is ass. I'd almost rather have the mini usb since the cable wouldn't be broken all the time. I still have my original mini usb cable for the ps3 and it works like a charm, but i've went through 6 micro usb cables for the ps4...
Hi I went to attempt this on my PS3 controller and noticed the board and pins are a little different. There is no open contacts on the bottom of the board on my controller. I was wondering if you would make a video for the different style board?
Hi! I did the same and It worked great when using type C to type A. Unfortunately type C to type C doesnt work. After some research it's because of how Type C handles otg. Supposely I need ti solder a 56K resistance. Did you have the same problem? Did you solder the resistance?
High end chargers change the ampegerage or watts idk to the required amount so if you plug a 15w charger to a PS3 controller its only going to send the maximum power
Hey yo just a question yesterday i got a fake chinese-like dualshock every thing on it looks fine but just theres one problem when i press L2 it goes for L1, i press R2 it goes for R1, the same thing for L1 R1 to R2 L2 too. any solution?
If ur using it on ps3 then maybe try swaping the shoulder buttons in the settings I think theres an option for that but if it's on pc then there's probably a program out there to swap any button you want
At least you guys had mani USB on your controllers I don't even know what to call the connector on mine (Xbox 360) The only device I own that uses mini USB is the Wii u pro controller. I wish that all the devices I have that have proprietary jacks on them had micro USB or USB C. But i would take mini USB over the proprietary jack.
What a saver. A couple months ago I was searching for this because I want one of those cables with a magnetic end that can fit several devices, but mini-usb was not an option. Do you think it's possible to leave both connections and have them working? In case I want to use usb-c today but the original cable in the future. Thanks!
Glad you asked well there is no advantages for me it was just get rid of those old usb mini cables and only needing the use of one usb c cable for all my devices
This would be amazing on a PS4 controller as well, and probably even easier since it has its own board. Nice work btw!
I'm already working on it ;)
@@axemods03 Awesome, I can't wait to see it!
@@axemods03 looking forward to this, I subbed

Good job! I've been wanting to do this for a while. Thanks for this video. 🙂
Magnificent mod. Thank you for sharing !
Awesome work dude 👍
Ahah thanks bro :)
use hot air to remove the port pliers can damage the traces.

Great work. Do you know if this has all the required resistors and things, so you could plug in a high end charger and it wouldn't blow it up?

One connection is wrong green wire and wire
Could you when you make the PS4 usb c mod add a link to specific breakout board you use?
Alright I will ;)
Could you make a video of how to identify the D+ and D-? I was very interested in that.
Cool video
can you use it with a laptop wired?
can i directly soltre ps 3 wire on borad
?
But does it still transfer data/ sync the controller to new ps3s
how to mod joypad bluetooth to usb adapter?
Is awesome work love the video. Any idea on how to convert it to a razor Kishi though? though.
Thanks man but can't tell you for the razer kishi since I don't have one but usb is universal so pretty easy to find

Nice job
G E N I U S !!! 👌🏼
This actually looks better than ps4 controller since it has no light
Where did you get the USB C breakout board from?
Got it from aliexpress
Can I send you my controller so you can do this I’ll pay lol
cool!
Me who doesn't have the money to do this: REEEEEEEEE (I lost my mini USB cord 😭)

Yea i think it may be possible
I could not charge it via phone charger so not so practical. thanks anyway.
hehe, i did that yesterday too and only now i see the video, i did it with 0.125mm wire
I'm assuming that's a 4 pin female? There's a lot to choose from on Amazon. Don't want to get wrong part
Yep exactly what it is 😉
What's the difference??
Glad you asked well there is no advantages for me it was just get rid of those old usb mini cables and only needing the use of one usb c cable for all my devices
Please batery ps3 mod exemple 10.000 mah
It's not possible a 10 000 mah battery is way too big to fit inside the controller
@@axemods03 and 5.000mah ?
@@aryjrrpg Still too big the only one's that could work would be around 1200mah
@@axemods03 thanks man
I can easily tell this was edited in filmora 😂 ay filmora gang
You should try this with a iPhone to see what happens
I’m sure it’s possible but fitting it in would probably be the main issue
Yikes this is really sloppy. I'm surprised the case even closes up with all that extra wire to contend with.
thats stupid
there's no reason to usb-C mod it
it's just unnecessary
But does it still transfer data/ sync the controller to new ps3?
Yes
