Thank you darling for tactfully commenting on how these lipsticks are not universal nudes. I LOVE Kim and I wish she would have created 2 light nudes and two darker nudes to accommodate more people. It's sad but as a woman of color and a woman of a unique shade it's often hard for me to find lipsticks that suit me. I'm a little disappointed in this launch but always appreciate your realness! 😘
LuLu Bridgez just like any collab, the point is really to replicate colours that Kim herself wears regularly, so it only makes sense they would suit fair to medium skin tones because she doesn't do makeup on dark skin. Aside from this collab, I think Kylie had really made an effort to be inclusive with her range, much more than some brands, with her other lipkits that are marketed to be for darker skin tones. As a whole her brand does their best to be inclusive, but I think it's unfair to be disappointed in Kim for not creating shades for a skin tone she doesn't even have, she only has experience with hers and that's all we can ask. That being said, I think it would be amazing if they released a similar sort of bundle with the same formula, but in shades more suitable to dark skin tones, but maybe in different packaging and not marketed as a KKW collab, that would be cool.
LuLu Bridgez agreed. Even if these are tones that she herself would wear she still could have worked with the manufacturers and chemists and whoever to created darker tones. She herself has worn a darker lip at times. With the colors being so close in tone I think are missing out on a large segment of people who would have bought this. That being said I'm sure it will sell out.

Thank you darling for tactfully commenting on how these lipsticks are not universal nudes. I LOVE Kim and I wish she would have created 2 light nudes and two darker nudes to accommodate more people. It's sad but as a woman of color and a woman of a unique shade it's often hard for me to find lipsticks that suit me. I'm a little disappointed in this launch but always appreciate your realness! 😘

LuLu Bridgez just like any collab, the point is really to replicate colours that Kim herself wears regularly, so it only makes sense they would suit fair to medium skin tones because she doesn't do makeup on dark skin. Aside from this collab, I think Kylie had really made an effort to be inclusive with her range, much more than some brands, with her other lipkits that are marketed to be for darker skin tones. As a whole her brand does their best to be inclusive, but I think it's unfair to be disappointed in Kim for not creating shades for a skin tone she doesn't even have, she only has experience with hers and that's all we can ask. That being said, I think it would be amazing if they released a similar sort of bundle with the same formula, but in shades more suitable to dark skin tones, but maybe in different packaging and not marketed as a KKW collab, that would be cool.
LuLu Bridgez agreed. Even if these are tones that she herself would wear she still could have worked with the manufacturers and chemists and whoever to created darker tones. She herself has worn a darker lip at times. With the colors being so close in tone I think are missing out on a large segment of people who would have bought this. That being said I'm sure it will sell out.
