omg the "writing a whole symphony" on the get-go is so relatable haha
Good ones, especially no.1, I can't stress enough how many people I have seen skipping lots of steps and writing a large format composition. I'd also add these practical tips based off what I've seen beginners do:
- listen to a lot of music that challenges your knowledge; having one idol is fun, but doesn't get you far
- limit yourself when composing, a lot of beginners tend to throw lots of ideas together - this can also eventually help having an overall focus in the composition
Awesome tips man! I’ve been composing for almost 10 years and comparison held me back for so long. I would quit halfway through or never share stuff because it wasn’t as good as other composers. Awesome content I really relate to where you are at!
Even though I’m not a beginning composer, I still found this helpful :)
I'm glad, thanks!
bro your channel has grown so much road to 1k!!!!! : )

Start small. I could never agree more.

Hey man, I loved this! To echo another comment here, I've been doing this for a little while, and this was refreshing to watch-super insightful and inspiring. I was curious as to how you approach you score study; I am always interested in hearing how others approach this. Perhaps could be a cool video idea! Anyway, thank you for your content :)
Thanks a lot! Yeah a score study video is a great idea. Stay tuned then!
This video is great, super inspiring! Number three is my biggest downfall as of now. I have a feeling that I’m witnessing the rise of a great composer!
Thanks for sharing!! You're too kind :)
