@@brickrightbuildinglandscaping qq: I have noticed the slab I need to replace is against an outside wall. I am looking to use a product like projoint for all my pointing but wanted to ask your thoughts on using this type of product for slabs that join against your house walls? Is it suffice?
Thanks Fraser. Not for the video, but for improving my vocabulary! LOL! Shitty job, but, it pays the wages and keeps the lads buying you beers. Not bad for 14 years of wear, pity the customer didn't jet wash now and again! Have a great 2024 guys!
@@brickrightbuildinglandscapingits only in recent time i started using the slurry Justin since i saw you lads on TH-cam using it . But what i always did was drench the back of the paving with water prior to laying them into the mortar and in the evening before I’d go home I’d saturate the paving with the hose ,it promoted great suction bond between slab and mortar .
@brickbybric Used to do similar and an sbr as time went on but fact is years ago hardly anyone used anything. Its only since people used the slurry on porcelain that it was used on other materials. We use it on everything now
Hi Justine My pet hate mate is relaying slabs ahhh , always get the call 3 months later some more have come up and 2 you put down are loose , then feel obliged to do them for fook all ! Great bloopers mate , and Frey is a natural pal ! Hope this incoming weather won’t disrupted you too much pal , great tutorial for landscapers mate on how to loosen and remove slabs without disturbing the next one too it , something I always try to do but instead of 2 loose I end up taking 20 out ahhh , keep safe and well mate ❤👍
Hi John. Since we've been using the slurry i haven't had one loose slab in years mate. Things have moved on from the way we used to lay the paving thankfully. Happy new year to you and the lads mate . Take things easy John appreciate the comments 👍 x
Never used joint it but in general yes the polymer stuff was and is rubbish but at the time 14 years ago it was the best stuff available or so we were lead to believe 👍
@@brickrightbuildinglandscaping it was like manna from heaven Justin it was a god send . You could joint the paving no matter what the weather ( been able to joint up the patios meant you got your final few bob sharpish . In the long run it turned out to be shite .😀
Please don’t tell me you did a 14 year guarantee and doing it for free Justin 😂😂😂😂😂 p.s stop putting z in the cement that’s where they lift from frost 😂😂😂

Hi Paul
You can do as requested as long as your . 150mm below dpc level and you have a fall away from the house for water run-off .👍

What’s the slurry you used, just neat cement?
No james its paving slurry ask for it at the builders merchants
@@brickrightbuildinglandscapingmake Ur own, much cheaper.... 1part dry cement, 1part SBR....boom
Few tubes of gripfill would have sorted that😂
