The main takeaway here is how insanely good Crisp’s game was.
Did a brilliant job both up front and down back, absolutely a key part of that flag. Really glad for him, completed the story arc from being the steak knives in the Beams trade to legit elite player. Always liked him as a player.
@@thegaz-man Given Crisp’s consistency and the fact he plays better in finals, I am sure that whichever team traded him didn’t regret losing a consistent midfield / back who can score in a pinch. He is the sort of player who could help, say, pinch a last gasp finals win.
So yeah, I am sure his original team didn’t mind. Whoever they were. :P

This just proves that players like Noble, McStay, and Adams should be given medals as well. I don't have anything against Billy Frampton, he's one of my favourite players but I think it's disgraceful that he has a medal when other players were part of this year more so than Frampton. I think Frampton does deserve a medal if it weren't for his efforts in the ruck we wouldn't have made the grand final but I don't think he deserves a medal at the cost of McStay, Adams, and Noble not being awarded one. The exact same happened to Simon Prestigiacomo in 2010, he played his heart out for 14 years for Collingwood only missing the grand final because he knew his body wasn't prepared and that other players would've made a greater impact. It really upset me seeing Taylor Adams and John Noble crying when the pies won because everyone knew that they deserved to be out there just as much as anyone else.
Exactly. Adams had a really good season - without him, do the Pies finish top?
We need a solution somewhere between what we have now and the NFL system - I reckon if you play eight games (about a third of the season), that's a solid enough contribution to earn a medal.
