Vlog of my experience doing the 2023 edition of the 204km Great Ocean & Otway Classic ride. @o2events365 #cycling #cyclingvlog #granfondo #otways #greatoceanroad
Thanks Josh - there are a few gran fondos in and around Great Ocean Rd and Otway ranges region, this one has the best route (in my opinion!). Gravel routes - that’s another story!
100% correct - tried to do the right and make sure all batteries fully charged before the ride. Then all i had to do is take battery off, blow on contact points, and then the bloody thing starts working!!
Genuniely surprised they didn't hae closed roads for such a big event.
To be fair traffic was pretty light in general. Doing it again in a few weeks so will update with any improvements!
Great video and epic ride.
Longest event I’ve done is the Bowral classic which was about 150km and not nearly as scenic.
Keep it up 👍🏻

Did 145km as my 1st time and it was a killer... Looking forward to next year..
Nice one mate - it’s a great course. We also had great weather this year as well which was a bonus!
how many pit tops in the 204km?
There were plently, probably 6-7 in total. We stopped 3 times which was enough as not too hot.
That's a summer here in Blighty 🏴🤪 and good old-fashioned cables don't need batteries 😉
