WHAT IS BIG AMBITIONS?
Big Ambitions is a roleplaying business simulator situated in the open-world city of New York. You start the game as a young kid surviving in the big apple. You have big ambitions for money and success, but you're starting with absolutely nothing.
In Big Ambitions, you control a single person in the middle of the bustling metropolis of New York City. Your goal is to achieve financial success in various ways. Starting at the bottom flipping burgers or collecting garbage to eventually owning and running big businesses and real estate throughout the city.
As you progress, you always need to make sure that you're getting enough sleep, keeping up with your health, and making sure your happiness is sufficient. Increasing your capital can be trickier than you think. As you will learn, money can't buy time.

Funny, just the other day I (honestly) wondered if/when Charlie will return to Big Ambitions. And ..here we are. Sweet.

Hi Charlie,just want you to know you can turn down the game-time speed now in the option window now if you find the times goes too fast ( i belive it is set as 100% at standard but can be turned down to 20% if you wish so....i often find my self turn it pretty low when i have a buzzy moving day)....the option camed for a couple updates ago....loved your last serie about this game 🙂

are there studio living spaces, for starting out in the game? with the business, I would have lined up the register, on the right right side of the space (inline with the door) and grills behind you, instead of making them walk across the space but that's just me...

This game looks fun I was thinking of getting it a while back but my computer can't really handle it. I don't know why but one thing I've learned is that Banks cannot give out loans because they are the borrowers it's actually against breaking law. In order for you to actually get a loan you have to give up collateral worth enough of the loan.

Gift shop might be the tutorial 1st store, but it's really the best store to start with overall aside from florist. Reasonable upfront costs and only moderately expensive stock if you're going for expensive gifts, plus it can be a great place to add small electronics once you have the money. Everything else has both or one of: expensive startup, or expensive stock/upkeep, I've found

I've been playing for this for past few weeks and Im amazed. 10k away from $100k. I make about $15-$17k a day. I have a gift shop, fast food joint and lawyer office. Redecorating the fast food place and hiring more lawyers. So glad ur playing this
Once you realize that you can take out a loan from the other bank you will do amazing. They have a make loan of 800k
This game is a real hidden gem, needs a lot more exposure.

36:00 Lower demand can seriously hurt business. I opened up the only jewelry store in Garment District and Ingrid took it upon herself to open 3 jewelry stores within a block of me and flood the market with cheap jewelry for 3/4 my price...if I wasn't selling expensive jewelry and smartwatches in the store as well, she would have shut me down. Definitely need to have more than 1 product to keep the rivals from messing with you too much.

I tow to the nearest repair station at least once an in game week😌😌😌😌. Getting to the $250,000 on repairs mark should be easy as pie. Even with the cheap Honda.
Every bench in the game has a person sitting on the left side. Every time 🤣 slept for 4 hours and the person was still there
They should put security guys at the door checking your receipt on the way out

You may have already figured this out but you do not need to restock hotdogs/burgers, it is automatic
There's now also e-scooters you can rent for $20 if you don't want to walk
I mentioned them in this video. Can’t carry anything with them. When you start with basically no cash, $20 is a lot. ;)

I’ve been chillin with a fast food restaurant, HQ, and a gift shop for the last real life week. I refuse to scale up because I love trying to milk my profitability and making my interiors look so realistic!

Tax set to 10%? What kind of tax heaven is that :D idea for run, realistic tax rates :P something more like 45%
45% corporate tax rate is significantly more off the mark than 10%. No business with an even average accountant pays over 30% effective tax rate. In the 8 years my wife and I have had our business we have never paid more than 21% effective tax rate. Breaks, credits, and many other things can permit small businesses to expand and keep more of their money than that

Why did they take books out of the gam The book shelves are still there, but there are no books in the game
There are 6 different types of books in the game that you can sell, and multiple shelves for which you can read from. They are in the game.

I played the crap out of this game last year… was a millionaire, and was loving it. They updated the game and completely ruined my save as all my employees and new requirements for scheduling and health insurance. The updates should have only applied to new game saves. :/
Not only do you have the option to play on previous versions (previous branches are all there and accessible in branches on Steam), but you have to manually click a button to update your save to the new version. Pretty sure this comes with a warning too, as it also did in the changelog and dev blogs about those updates.
That said, the updates definitely expanded the game and changed so much that a new save is better anyways. If you had fun the first time, you’d presumably have fun again.
I have to decide if I want to sink another 60 hours to build my empire from the ground up again. Not sure that would be fun. But thanks for the info in the reply.

I will tell you this though... If you want to explore this game from scratch again, but don't want to have to restart even another time after a new update - you should wait for the NEXT one. I can't tell you anything other than... oh man.. it's huge changes, and you'll want fresh start for that one
