2022 WRX AutoX - Windy City Miata Club 9/3/22

Third autocross session in the books with the VB and we are getting better! I decided to hit a Miata Club event because I heard the courses were tighter and more technical plus hella runs! We got 20 runs in which is honestly unheard of in the SCCA world and cut my first clean run time from 58.859 to 49.070.
The best score was around 42.745 seconds from an extremely fast MK7 Golf R. Given my experience level and being a larger, less nimble car on a tighter course, I was definitely still satisfied with my progress! Unfortunately, the GoPro did die and my best-recorded run is shown here at around 51 seconds. I think I'll be going to as many Miata Club events as possible next year!

What tires are you using? I got the Falken RT660s for autocross in the 22. Also...20 runs!!! I think I'm making a road trip. We get 4.

I’m on Yokohama Advan Apex V601 tires! 255/35/18. I’m used to SCCA and getting 6-8 runs so 20 had me super spoiled, not sure if I’ll end up doing any SCCA next year tbh, Miata Club all the way! 💪🏼
