- Its been a few months between reef trips so the idea was to get the full experience again, chasing all possible options.
Flats rod: nomad 12-25lb nomad spin, Daiwa certate 5000, pe 4 Ammonite braid
Jig: Saltiga 15H, Nomad jig 6'2 pe2-4, pe 3 ammonite braid - กีฬา
coming home from a 7 hour fishless trip to watch 37 minutes of scholzy goodness 🙌🔥
The visual aspect of flats fishing is next level 😍🤯🤯
I don't understand how you don't have 500k+ subs, your content by far the best
Marketing I guess

Sometimes you wonder who made fish names
hahaha never thought of that
Great content again Matt. You could never get sick of those beautiful red fish coming over the side. Let's all hope that the weather gives you a bit of a break now over the cooler months and you get plenty of time out there.
Insane drone footy captain some of the best !
That opening Scene 🔥

Pound for pound the chinamen is one of the hardest fighting fish out there. Awesome channel

What an epic episode of fish after fish, quality and different colours! How good are those authorities,? I've got the 7500 and it's just a weapon! Tight lines 🎣
Would not want to be baitfish with that angry face racing at me!

AWESOME SUPER AWESOME 🤩
Noice session Boyzzzzzz 🎣🍻
Awesome video awesome fishing 🥰👍🏻👌🤗👋🏻🩵💙💯❤️😍🎣🐟🐠
💯💪 nice action
I was surprised to see American flags on your boat? I expected Australian flags. Great content as always.
we will never build a boat as good as a contender
11:10 The possible reason for smashing the squid even though there’s a big boat is because maybe they want to defend their feeding grounds?
Serious note, how do you keep bottles onboard without smashing or tops coming off 😂
On your Saltiga 15’s what size main line are you using. I know you talk about using 100lb leader, but I don’t remember what size Braid you are using, especially for those depths? Never mind, you answered the question a few minutes later in the video.
TCB 🤙🏼🤙🏼
Epic
Matt, why do you have an American flag on your boat? just curious. I saw it when you released your big Chinaman. don't know how I never saw that before...
because its a contender built in America if Aussies built a boat as good id use that but nothing compares to a 25T
Great Video! I love your stuff! Next march i will visit Queensland. How can i go fishing i spots like you do. I'm from Switzerland and looking for recommedations!
look for a fishing charter company around cairns their your best option
Love you videos. May one day you could explain how you use the Squidtrex. Do you leave it in the bottom or jig with it. I am new to plastics and it is all to much for me. Many thanks.
you can use it in both scenarios vertical jigging and also casting long distances and working it mid water. all depends on the fish and area your fishing
@@PelagicPursuit89 Many thanks.
yewwww
I have the 130 squidtrex cali red
Hi Matt, always like your quality vids and knowledge you share. I was wondering if you could point me out a baitcaster I could use possible for jigging and also could use on my swimbait broomstick for barra? Can't afford 2 reels and would like a baitcaster who can stop big fish on jig and trow my big swim baits around on the 60/80 lb braid for barra?! 😅 any ideas ?
hey mate the Daiwa Lexa 300 is the perfect reel for that, the new one even has the T wing design which allows for better casting and comes with a power handles for swim baits or jigging
@PelagicPursuit89 Thanks for the reply/advice! As always, will look forward to your next vid!
Sponsored by Nomad?
Rapala for me anyday.🤠🎣✅️
nomad is a sponsor of mine so I generally use their lures but I run them because they work so well
ow would you think the squistrex does on droppoffs for like wall or wahoo or dogtooth tuna
lemme know if u get a chance... going on a trip to Fiji
Those chinamen looks like they go so freaking hard, mint 👌
one of the hardest fighting fish by far
I like watching you guys , but I would feel better about it if I knew you fellas had women 😊
I can produce jig bait, do you need it?
Dude, love the fishing vids. But mate... I have to tell you, who need someone else to design your logos and merch! Seriously, an old school anchor??? Lame bro!!!
hey mate. the anchor isn't my merch its Tide Apparels who I fish for and he's been around for over 10 years now and has trade marked the anchor so its like telling nike to change their tick. That's who he is and should be proud of it because of his success.
@@PelagicPursuit89 Nothing "original" about that anchor, Bro! Your guy needs to look at every other old peoples "nautical" looking apparel, since many of them have the same anchor. Just saying Mate!
I missed that bro, ty 🙏
Matt whats your view on livescope. Good for fisherman bad for our already over fished fisheries.
I think very highly of it allowing you to target large fish you only ever caught by accident and now can target them.
@PelagicPursuit89 Have watched large female barramundi being caught using live scope. These fish are the large breeders that release millions of eggs every year that substain our sport. I hope this technology doesn't harm our sport. These large breeding females wouldn't have been caught without livescope.
