Great Review. The more I watch, the more I want to play. Haven't had the chance to watch one of your vids in a while. Nice to see your channel growing. Keep up the great work!
Thanks Nico, appreciate you still watching my content 🙂 May have to do a full lets play or live stream of this one at some point in the near future if I find the time.
So I was a bit confused with this one, to start with I bought them and they didn't appear but then suddenly they started appearing on the floor as soon as I bought them, don't know if you have to complete the first boss or something? The game didn't make it clear.
Like I said, I did experience slowdown only once while docked, you can see this right at the end of the video were I'm rushed by tonnes of enemies around the statue. Docked mode does have some minor drops but is still all good. Technical problems, nothing really to speak of, everything functions well, the tells from enemy attacks can be short hard to spot to start with and there are slight delays between dodges and attacks but I think this is as designed.
Cheers Daz, I have still yet to find one that has captivate me as much as The Binding of Issac, but I've played some fantastic ones over the years, and Warm Snow is definitely up there for me.
I've yet to totally fall in love with the Roguelike genre, but this looks really well made... respect! Maybe I'll wait for the rumoured sequel... "Yellow Snow" (sorry)
I was enjoying this one quite a bit... until Astral Ascent came out. Now I can't tear myself away from the latter, lol... reviewers putting it up there with Hades / Dead Cells aren't wrong. I do plan to come back to Warm Snow someday (realizing how odd that sentence sounds). I just have to break this new addiction first. So glad the Switch has so many amazing roguelites.
Not played Astral yet, I have however seen Death Must Die on Steam and that one has piqued my interest! Hades meets Diablo meets Vampire Survivors! Yes Please!
@@SwitchStars Death Must Die looks amazing. I can't play it on PC, but would snatch it up in a heartbeat if it came to Switch. Hades/Diablo/Vampire Survivors are top tier to be sure. A mix of those three could be dangerously addictive. Definitely give Astral Ascent a try if you get the chance. Not sure why it hasn't gotten more attention, but those who have played it are loving it, as evidenced by its score of 90 on Metacritic and "overwhelmingly positive" for recent reviews on Steam. The devs are super passionate and interact well with the community, and additional content is already in the works. I can't stop playing.
This game looks amazing but I'm just not a fan of roguelikes. Without a straight forward campagin to progress through I usually get bored of the gameloop after a couple hours. That being said I got this wishlisted because it does look awesome, I'll keep an eye for sale, thanks for the great review!
Thanks dude, I think it looks great, reminds me of Bladed Fury, I'm a fan of the oriental artstyle though, I love pixel art but IMO it's a little overdone and its nice to see something a little different.
Are you talking about the art style or gameplay? I love the visuals of blasphemous but do think the ones in Warm Snow are very much suited to the theme of the game. Gameplay wise, two entirely different genres though.

@@SwitchStars oh my. Maybe i didnt Pick them up 😀 i play on handheld Mode and its ver very small and my eyes are not the best anymore ;-) Thank you!
Any performance or technical problems to talk about?

Not usually my genre of choice but looks good.
Yea its a solid pick if you enjoy roguelikes, plenty of variety and a good amount of replayability.
This looks very nice!
It's a good one, I've played a lot of roguelikes and this one has plenty to offer.

(sorry)
I think you just have to find the right one for you lol. Not sure if that sequel is legit but id definitely play it 😉

Cool, but I like the style from "blasphemous" better, it would be great to see the second part of it here
