Thank you so much for sharing. I am right now crying because I am going through this with my 24 year old son. I am struggling and trying to trust God but I admit it is hard sometimes. I think a year has been long but when I hear after 9 years of prayer you did and God moved, it is encouraging.
I am so thankful this is encouraging! Never give up on your prayers. God was intervening in my life and answering their prayers the whole time.
This has blessed me immensely. Our oldest son, Aaron, is going through the same decisions. I know how she felt.
Likewise, but with my 27 year old daughter. It has affected our family so terribly. We are heartbroken. We will continue to pray for her eyes to be opened.
I am so grateful for the testimony of His transformative love in Laura’s life and the intercession over 9 years. I met your precious daughter whose book I read and she signed at a Focus on the Family Talk Laura gave very recently in Colorado Springs. Is there a support group for parents walking through this?
Thank you so much for sharing your testimony. As a mother of a daughter who believes she is transgender I also have been through the deepest depths of sorrow and despair and it brought me to fully surrender to God. I now have a relationship with God that I am so grateful for! I have handed my child up to the Lord and know that he is working on her. I continue to pray but I now have a new sense of peace knowing that she is in his hands.
Rosie, I am so sorry to hear about your daughter, but I am so thankful for the relationship you have with God now. I find that often that God is doing a great work in the parent before He works in the child. I pray He will continually draw you closer to Him and I pray that He will restore the years the locust has eaten one day with your daughter (Joel 2:25). I pray she will come to know Jesus as you have.

my mom died 20 months after I started to detransition; I was 19months a reborn in.christ ; it made mom so happy ; she also prayed for me everyday - yet after she died I struggled alot with everything ; it's now 11 months after and I finally went to church again and shared my testimony and suddenly remembered you and wondered how you were ; it's wonderful to hear your story again 💗

My son has been living a transgender lifestyle for about 5 years that I know of. He has cut me off and says he was abused because we raised him in church. He is so angry at God, and at us. He has legally changed his name and when I told him I couldn’t call him by his new name he said “never call me again. It was heart breaking because about 6 months prior he had agreed to meet with me after not seeing him for 4 years. I am believing God for complete restoration, first his relationship with God then with us. Thank you for sharing your testimony of redemption! I believe my son will share his own testimony of redemption one day. I listened to your daughter’s full testimony and appreciate the encouragement I received from it. Thank you! Did you ever during the process agree to call your daughter Jake. It’s such a difficult journey, but I do have a deep relationship with God and faith that he will redeem my son.
We are going through the same thing with our daughter. She demanded we call her by her new "non-binary" name, but we refused. We have been estranged from her for 2 1/2 years now. It's absolutely heartbreaking. Homeschooled, loved and cherished. We had ZERO signs of this happening. I read Laura's book and have been encouraged. 🙏🙏

Living thru this now...and for many years...(without the ex-husband tho...who has given in to the affirmation trap) with my son. Thank you and Laura for all you're doing in putting yourselves out here. Your sharing gives hope and guidance like you don't even know. Still praying and longing for the Lord to bring my son back to Himself. This is honestly unbearable.
