100 Teal in an Hour on Opening Day!! (Incredible Texas Duck Hunting)

- As dawn begins to break and the sound of katydids and crickets are replaced with the whistling wings of blue-winged teal doing their best fighter jet impression, you’d never know you were nestled just west of the 4th most populous city in the United States. The migration of these blue rockets through the Eagle Lake Prairie is a sight to behold and we got to witness this amazing spectacle first hand on opening day with 2W Outfitters. The action was non-stop and after an hour of strong shooting and impressive dog work, that was all she wrote for 17 guns in the blind.

Love the pre hunt speech about safety. This is a dying trend in hunters today. Strict gun control is key. If you are not able to make good judgement on your shooting then you can leave. Love it

Yeah some of those close ones got a little banged up! We had a big grill out that evening at the lodge and boy did they eat good!
Question- we have access to a pond and a slew. The bottom is like silt. In this video, was that the case for the bottom texture? How do you combat that? Shallow but you sink to your knees? Ok for a dog?
Been to that same gas station with a different outfitter out of eagle lake and it was an awesome hunt we shot snows, specks, and pintail we ended the day with 63 in total, eagle lake doesn’t disappoint. we plan on going again this year!

Besides the volume of birds, the Dog Work was spectacular! I've never see 3 on a single hunt together. Great awareness by the hunters too ! Special day for sure.

Watching 20 guys shoot at singles and doubles will make me laugh every time. Personally enjoy small groups and a couple shots per bird
same I really enjoy when it's me and a buddy and we are taking turns shooting singles
We definitely prefer the hunts with small numbers, but these outfitters and guide services often put large groups together when they have the birds.
Went hunting with the same guides y’all did went to the same gas station, we hunted a little rice pond and we didn’t shoot a single bird. Was really bummed but it was still a good time never the less. All the birds moved out in the full moon the night before. Eagle Lake is normally great it was just off that morning. These guys were very professional

All the dogs were amazing but Simba has a drive like I've never seen before, the way he head shakes that first cripple is a "this is my house!" moment.

Gotta have grandmas cookies, preferably peanut butter but oatmeal raisin will do in a pinch… and maybe more so even than the cookies you have to have to have to have Otis Spunkmeyers blueberry muffins!!! If you don’t get the blueberry muffin, you can bet your ass your guns gonna jam, your waders are gonna have at least 3 holes in em, you not gonna be able to find your favorite call, your favorite decoy bag blew out the truck and is strewn all over the interstate and if u mess around and forget to get the muffin all together it’s a given that your gonna for sure have a run in with ol’ MISTER G-DUB and your gonna have 3 lead no.7’s in your ammo belt that you forgot to take out from dove season!!! 😳 caint play bout them muffins!!! 😂 IM DEAD 💀 😁 ohhhh and strawberry milk of course!

I've only had 2 opportunities to hunt teal at the coast in N.C. they are small and fast but beautiful birds. I went with 3 hunters and we killed several birds mixed bag .
