"Keep Your Friends Close" is the third song of the Ocean Saga, the third saga of EPIC. Odysseus is given a wind bag from the Wind God, Aeolus, who tells him to keep it closed to prevent the winds of the storm being let loose again. But doubts are growing amongst Odysseus' crew, fuelled by the tension that has been growing between him and Eurylochus since the death of Polites. When they are close to Ithaca, Odysseus eventually falls asleep, and his crew takes advantage of this moment to open the bag. The winds are set loose, blowing the fleet far off course to the rocky stronghold of Lamos: Telepylus, the city of the Laestrygonians (cannibal giants), where Poseidon awaits.
