The Best $0 Budget Movie Trailer I Made With Just My iPhone and My Family

In the world of iPhone only filmmaking, did I just make the best iMovie trailer using the iMovie trailer templates? Zero budget! No cost. No crew. No nothing! $0! They should have awards for this! This Is My Movie!
I’m Kidding. Kidding! I really hope people get my sense of humor online.
Now on a serious (no hyperbole) note, anyone can use iMovie to make these trailers. It’s easy. The template is there. I’ve seen a few really bad ones though. I’ve even seen a really bad (but funny) one that a late night talk show or talk news/ commentary/ comedy show made using the iMovie horror template. Anyone can do this!
The trick is putting together your shots in the storyboard until you like it. That’s the hard part. If you’re an aspiring filmmaker I suggest using the iMovie storyboard trailer templates! It helped me a lot just to learn how shots sequence together! It’s super easy to add shots that look bad and don’t go well together, so you have figure out what looks good by trying many options like a puzzle. But after a lot of seeing what doesn’t work you eventually figure it out and find shots that flow in the storyboard to create a story. It’s a good tool to learn from. And It’s fun!
This movie trailer is like a poem to me. It has personal meaning and has to do with my family and doing what I love: laughing and filmmaking and making bonfires and traveling to see family and looking at family photo albums.

It’s really simple anyone can do it! It’s a good tool to learn storyboards and how shots flow together in sequence to tell your story. This story is a poem to me about my family and making bonfires and looking at old family photo albums and re-connecting with my dad before he passed away. We are all made of stars!
