@@broadcastsbubbles8290 It looks like they are using a Cooke lens as well. Talk about some nice gear.
That’s why he’s a producer
There’s no way to tell in 720p. It’s just good lighting.
Producer: Finances the movie (most important part of film-making), creative control, gets paid even after the movie has been out (points or percentages of the movie), takes bigger risks.
Director: Creative control, paints the movie, brings back the puzzle pieces to the Editor (sometimes works with him/her).
Editor: makes sure the puzzles fit.
I want to be screenwriter and director. So,I can write my material and be in charge at the same time
Writer: Starves and struggles after getting paid
Producer: Real Estate Developer
Director: Architect
Editor: Your tradespeople and construction people
Anthony Raymundo yup, and the actors are the real estate agents.
@@markodelic6017 who is a screenwriter ??
This was very well explained. I am currently a TV producer for a national network and I really appreciate your detail explanation.
How did you go about getting this job? If you don’t mind sharing
Get me on there
Hey! If you don't mind sharing, What does a TV producer actually do (like what your work day is like)? I aspire to be one and am a sophomore in high school. Isn't a TV producer the same as the producer of tv shows like drama, etc. for example Tina Fey, Mindy Kaling?
@@lamb9770 I worked really hard. It started with working in the TV station at my university. I then worked my way up from a cameraman all the way up from small jobs outside of the university, too freelance, making commercials and more. Everyone's path is different. There's not a direct clear path like becoming a nurse or a doctor. There's not a lot of money in it. I don't think I'd recommend it. It sounds like there is, but unless you get the Right show you will not get that money. The hours are not 9:00 to 5:00 typically. Think on that before making the next step. Doesn't mean it's not for you, but it's definitely worth knowing about.
@@UmamaheswariRajguru producing is such a loose term in TV. It all depends on what you want to do and what shows you want to work on. Know that it's not a direct and clear line such as becoming a doctor, teacher, accountant. You'll have to work long hours and probably start from the bottom. However, it's TV so you don't always have to start the bottom. You could start as a writer and slide over to producer. You could be an actor and slide over to producer. I would say if you really are excited to try it. I would say try producing not directing a short film for someone and see how that goes.
100% true from personal experience on many different productions. The UPM (aka line producer) can make or break a production. They tend to be assholes (sometimes out of necessity) to get shit done efficiently. Producers in general are hotshots and flaunt/abuse their power but you can learn a lot about the film/TV business from them..
A good producer can make everything much easier since they can pull strings to make shit happen quickly.

Does having access to a 35% grant make it more attractive to investors to put up the other 65% along with distribution in place across south east asia?
Does having access to a 35% grant make it more attractive to investors to put up the other 65% along with distribution in place across south east asia?
I've only worked on one film, and our UPM was an absolute badass. The most in-demand and hardworking dude on set, the epitome of a boss as a leader because he was driving himself harder than anyone else. When we saw him giving that much, we all did.
right? The Line Producer is def most unsung hero, and i always chalk up their um bad "attitude" to lack of sleep. And heck, who isn't on their best behavior when you get less then 6 hours of sleep a night for 3-4 months? Though IF its a big budget or an indie (where the nickels and dimes are being watched) I'd add the 1st AD as crucial that can make or break it. Especially with first time feature directors or first time big-budget directors.
I’m going to school to study film producing and this was incredibly insightful
How's the study? Is it nice?
How’s it going?
I’m glad you figured out what the thing actually is that you planned to study
This is probably the best video I have watched explaining what a producer, executive producer and line producer is. After watching Leverage, I wanted to know what exactly Dean Devlin did as the executive producer of such an amazing show. This video helped. Thanks!
That was a great breakdown in an incredibly concise time.
Great explanation. I've always wondered what film producers actually do and this made it much clearer.
Awesome gotta watch it 3 more times
Man between this video and your Film Lingo one I've learned hours of research's worth, awesome content!
Perfect video! Thanks so much for explaining this in such an easy to understanding yet deep manner
Great informative chat. Cheers dude.
Great video! I've been asking myself this question for years, with just the barebones idea that producers pay for films to be made. Now it make a lot more sense, thanks!
Your lighting in this video is 👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾. It’s earned you a follow. 🙂
Thank you very much Crimson. Tremendous help to what I was looking out for! Great clarity.
Love your lighting set up
This is really helpful, thank you so much. I'm doing a research about stuffs like this recently because I'm trying to write a story about artists and ofcourse, I have to know how film industry works.
Finally a video with quality information in it & he has links so that you can step your game up.
This guy's kind of awesome and confident. I find him very attractive too. I can't stop watch his videos because of him. Oh no!

This is great. Wish I had this when I was starting out. I did all my research at the library.
You've literally just give me info on something I've always wanted to know. Even tho I aim to be a successfull actor I had no idea of most of this. Thanks
This was a very helpful video for someone like myself getting started in the producing game, thank you!!
I'm getting started for screenwriting
This was incredibly helpful!
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS. I WAS CONFUSED UNTIL NOW.
Great video. Interesting to see how the roles are organized how they collaborate.
Thank you so much, I love your explanation.
Loved that video! Finally made a bunch of things clear for me :) I would appreciate it, if you could more videos like that, explaining the jobs of a professional film crew. The filmworld I'm growing up in, is a world where the lines between the jobs blur out more and more, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it would be nice to learn who the original/professional lineup looks like ✌️
the look on your main camera is so good!
Cartoony
After 4 years , I finally got my answer
Thanks a lot !
Very helpful breakdown, friend. Much appreciated.
Thanks That was really very helpful. I was a magazine publisher for 16 years and the Producer role seems almost the same and I have always loved film, maybe I just want to be the Boss. I have a friend who was Accountant Producer on a very big franchise involving wizards etc..he looked after everyday expenses and he did get his name on the credits
That was quite thorough ✨👌thank you very much
Just found your channel, thank you. I have been so curious about the different roles in making a movie.
i love the quality. amazing!
I found this very helpfull!. Thank you😅👍
Amazing explanation!! Very well said!!!
amazing lighting bro
This was very informative, thank you
Q: In the movie “US’ with Jordan Peele there were 3 production companies listed in the opening credits. Blumhouse, QC, Monkeypaw. Which company actually is in charge of securing the locations, permits, getting the catering, renting the equipment ect
The responsibilities may have been split amongst the 3. Monkeypaw is Jordan peele's company. I assume those responsibilities fell on him and the other 2 just gave financial support/equipment.
@@convolution223 in most cases it works like that. But there is still a producer almost in charge. They just obey jordan Peele in that case.
Blumhouse all the way
Thank you for explaining!
Very helpful! Thank you.
Thanks 4 explanation as this was confusing before.
thank you for sharing!!! ♥️
Thanks for making this video, very useful

Is there a shortcut to be a creative or an executive producer or does one have to go through the hierarchy to get there?
The best explanation I have ever had I never use to differentiate those title

This was a great video and you did a wonderful job on breaking down the different producer positions. What is one thing you would recommend to a person who is interested in trying to join the PGA?
The camera quality is piercing into my eyes. Amazing quality
yo that quality is just AMAZING
I watched it in 1080p
Found this very helpful
Thank you so much for breaking it down.
Love this!
Thank you !Very educational.
The producer takes his idea to a line producer, the line producer comes up with the budget, the producer then raises the money and hires everyone to get the film mad that's all the way from the director to the guy sweeping up the ground on set.
awesome tips bro, thanks
OMG!!!! THE CAMERA QUALITY...... OMG!!! OMG!!! I'M FREAKING OUT! OMG!
everytime i watch great DP work, that is the exact reaction haha

Thanks Steven. Happy to help!
very helpful. Thank you.
That was a nice video, quite educational. Thank you
For all who don’t know the reason why you’re seeing such a sharp picture coming from this guys camera even though you’re seeing 1080p is that his camera is outputting 4K or 8K when he shot it but used really good rendering with the upload and saved most of the bits from the video in general so your screen is pushing to upscale to a higher resolution but it can’t because his upload is only capped at 1080p upload if that makes sense
I can tell you for a fact that resolution is mostly not tied to sharpness. Its sensor quality and choice of lens, the better the photosites of a camera, the sharper or clearer the image.
Awesome explaination
VERY informative! Thank you very much!
No worries! Its the small things that sometimes make a big difference.
