- Join the crew as we pour a colored and stamped concrete patio and then I head to wash and seal another. I also received a special delivery. I think I love concrete a little too much! Enjoy
I love dogs! Jade is such a gem and a beautiful soul. The patience Ryan has is second to none. I'm glad he sees Jade for all she's worth. What a great addition.
I love how little by little Ray is figuring out his spot in the crew. He picks up more little tasks that need to be done every pour. He's learning the little things that need to be done and doing them while everyone else is busy or doing other stuff. Whether it be pulling wire, moving boards, or one of 100 other small tasks. He's figuring things out and I think the process is starting to make sense. Great job Ray!! 😁

It reminds me of Matt's off-road recovery team. They have like 6 or 7 of them filming now. I try to watch them all when I have time. Luckily they are not super long videos

Being a mixer operator myself, I too woulda been pretty upset with all that mud in the chute. It's hard enough to get a spot to wash out, it's even harder making all that extra concrete outta sight outta mind without some "Karen" calling you in for leaving a mess. Yeah, color mud dumping in the roadway is NOT a good idea period. Glad you stressed that to the crew calmly. Dilution is the only solution at that point.
As a fellow mixer driver I feel this 100%. Nothing more frustrating than 9 ft of chutes full of concrete backed all the way up to the hopper. Then they leave you with a wheel barrow to wash out a 1/4 yd of mud and expect there to be no mess(color on top if it). We carry portable washout boxes in our trucks for this very reason. If the Contractor does not provide a washout we charge them the cost of the washout box ($50-100). It's always the drivers fault...right lol.

Jade jumping is honestly because she’s still young, and she’s just genuinely happy to see you. Dogs do not calm down until about 2 years of age.
Wrong. She’s not trained. Puppies learn that right away if you tell them from a young age. Jade isn’t trained obviously

@ChangeHumanity learn how each dog is different, some dogs takes months to train to not jump when zooming level excitement they are in

He’s 5’8 guys calm down he weighs a buck 90 maybe 200 he’s not that big Eric is only 4’10 that’s why he looks so tall bugs is really the tallest he’s 5’12.5
He is a giant. Lots of people don’t know but Ryan is actually 7’2”. Eric looks small but he’s really 6’1”

We did that one day during summer here in Georgia, no rain for days and red clay like dust . We told laborer his first day he needs to get on bobcat get bucket full of that dust and go to certain location raise bucket up far as it go then dump it . Talk about funny you couldn't see him for minutes till dust cloud settled . I'll never forget that . His face looked like he put on ton makeup with his eyes closed . Hilarious

I have a great suggestion for addressing Jade's jumping behavior. One effective method I learned from a professional dog trainer is to use a collar and leash approach. When you arrive at the location, ensure that you have a leash on Jade. Also, have someone, like Bugs, waiting for you with the leash in hand.
The key is for Bugs to step on the leash, allowing only enough slack for Jade to raise her front paws off the ground when she jumps. As soon as Jade jumps, the leash pulls her straight down due to Bugs' weight on it. This timing helps correct her behavior at the right moment. With consistent application of this technique, Jade will likely learn within a span of approximately three days not to jump on people. I've seen this method work successfully in many cases.

Some were family dogs, others not so, and none of these dogs seriously injure someone (killing is not even a thing). We get it, you don't like Pitbull...! The problem with Bully is not the breed, it's the type of person that raise those dogs. A pitbull born in a family is the same thing as a Labrador let's say. I had an American rottweiler for years, a guardian dog that someone give me (I save him), he was the sweatiest. We train him, that's it. My 100 pounds mom was his best friend. Pitbull have a bad rep coz of their owner and people like you. Anyways I think Bugs is old enough to choose the breed of dog he wants...

The truth is, Jade simply needs proper training to address her jumping behavior. From what I've observed, Jade has never shown signs of aggression or anger. On the contrary, she consistently displays affection and love.
It's essential to remember that not all dogs, including Pit Bulls, have the same temperament. Fortunately, Bugs has done an excellent job with Jade's socialization and her overall temperament. It's a testament to his efforts that Jade is friendly and sociable.
Training a dog requires patience, consistency, and a positive approach. With the right techniques and guidance, Jade can be taught not to jump on people.

I recommend marking the backside of your new patterned stamps to differentiate so you never mix the patterns up. Something as simple as a pink/orange spray paint mark.

Ryan, for the bubble in the tamper, drill a couple small holes threw the bubble, inject a small amount of liquid nail or apoxy, tamp it a couple times on ground then put on flat surface and add some weight till dry.

Me too 😂 I’ve poured my own slabs before. A few years ago nothing to any form of a professional standard but this year I’m gonna do another but to a good standard and watching all Ryan’s videos will aid me very well.

I like D-1satin look to it not so high gloss in the sun. Makes it enjoyable to be able to go out and sit no matter what area the sun is at on the slab you wont have to wai/for the shade from ground glare.
