Friendly Ghosts turned fiendish?
Sounds like a job for Luigi!
The magical Dark Moon that hangs over Evershade Valley seems to calm the ghosts that live there. But when it suddenly breaks apart, the once-friendly ghosts become unruly! Luigi must stumble into action and find his courage to restore the Dark Moon to its rightful place in the sky.
Follow leads across a neighborhood of haunted mansions to find the missing shards of the Dark Moon. With a little help from Professor E. Gadd, you can pixelate from his bunker to your destination and get started! (Luigi will…probably be OK on the other side.)
Each mansion has a distinct vibe and tricky puzzles to solve. You’ll have to use your noodle to find your way through.
Eek! They’re everywhere! Stun ‘em and suck ‘em up to defeat them.
Use the awesome air-blasting abilities of the Poltergust 5000 to turn every room upside down and build your fortune. Spend it on equipment upgrades and stuff!
Explore every nook and cranny of these haunted mansions to find the Dark Moon shards.
Use your superpowered ghost-hunting tools to explore the mansions of Evershade Valley.
An upgradeable ghost gobbler. Its suction and air-blasting functions are useful for more than just paranormal combat, too. Use it to solve puzzles, find treasures, and move things around!
This charge-up light attachment for the Poltergust 5000 is perfect for stunning ghosts.
Shed some light on mysterious hidden objects and make them reappear.
A device with two screens(?!) that works as a handy map and a communication device.
Evershade Valley has been enveloped in a frightening fog! The peculiar Dark Moon which once hung in the sky - pacifying the land’s ghostly inhabitants - has mysteriously shattered.
Witnessing this strange phenomenon, ghost researcher Professor E. Gadd calls upon Luigi to stop the spirits from wreaking havoc across the valley! Can the cowardly hero gather his courage, find the scattered pieces of the Dark Moon and restore peace?
The new Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon gives players multiple mansions to explore, a variety of puzzles to solve and new ghosts to capture. Armed with the Poltergust 5000, a ghost-sucking, vacuum-like invention, Luigi must complete a number of missions assigned to him by Professor E. Gadd.
Shining a light on the ghosts is no longer enough to stun them into immobility. Players need to activate a new strobe function to stun the ghosts before sucking them up with the Poltergust 5000.
Every mansion is filled with unique puzzle elements and ghosts. Players must figure out how to defeat each one of them and find hidden clues and keys to unlock new areas.

I Agreed on that but he has a loong way to go.
That playthough was Amazing! And high Quality too.
Although i saw some changes within this version compaired to the 3ds you'd played before:
1. The mini-map screen is a certain resemblance in Luigi's mansion 3, whereas it keeps track of certain objectives and other stuff. But I hope you notice that their are red and green bars that may sound they are connected to each individual room. The red ones are consider locked, whilst the green ones are unlocked.
2. E.Gadd photo when communicating is more modern styled, it looks way better than what i remember.
3. Most of the dialogue is the same, like E.Gadd said " I was worried that the DS battery died, so I lowered the screen brightness just in case". Even though you're palying in a controller (or in handheld) it just adds there and that doesn't make any sense at all. (Would you agree on that?)
4. The graphics are somewhat simmilar to the original one, with the context of minor shading and brightness plus contrast controll.
And that's about i saw in the first playthough. (I might comment more when the next episode relased)
But overall. Amazing playthough Zebra Gamer!

To 100% Luigi's Mansion 2 HD Zebra needs to do this:
- Complete the game.
- Upgrade the Poltergeist with the Rainbow Illuminator. (Which will be in the 4th mission of the 1st Mansion)
- Collect all 65 Gems total in all Mansions. (With 13 gems in each & every Mansion)
- Get all Gold 3 Stars ranks in each mission. (That's the hardest one)
- Vacuum every unique Portrait Ghost at least once.
- Find all Boos in each mission. (Which you need the Rainbow Illuminator to find them, this includes backtracking to older Missions to find them)
I just want to say that I am SO happy that we get to go on this journey again.
Also they should have named this game Luigi’s Mansion 2 Dark Moon

I have originally played this game on the Nintendo 3DS and it was fun. Although, even with this game on the Switch now, I still prefer Luigi's Mansion 3.

i have the ds call theme as my actual ringtone so when e gadd called luigi for the first time i thought someone was actually calling me
So a fun story, (i never played the original on 3ds, i was kinda a scaredy cat admittingly) i found a copy of Dark Moon at my local game shop and was planning to pick it up. That was until i saw that this would be getting an HD port on Switch, so i kept avoiding the game for a whole year, until now. So im very excited to finally play this game for the first time.

1:42 Ironically, the diamond on King Boo's crown is made out of the same material as the Dark Moon.
