I just completed Day 30, but I wanted to circle back around the Day 1 to offer a testimonial to those of you who are just starting out. I'm the last guy to the toga party-- I mean yoga party. I'm thoroughly middle-aged and congenitally stiff as a dry twig. Thirty days ago, I was nursing a chronic back injury and experiencing a lot of pain from what appeared to be a pinched nerve. Today, not only am I stronger and more flexible, but my back and nerve problems are totally under control. The 30 Day Challenge is a bit like an epic poem. Following its long arc has been a beautiful and moving experience. Thank you.
Nyabi It's been another month, and I continue my daily yoga routine with great results. What I like about Adriene's approach is that she builds a practice in such a way that you can push yourself without breaking anything. Good luck!
***** Hope you have stuck with the 30 day challenge, but if you got sidetracked, just jump back on the train. I'm still a newbie, but I really find my daily practice the most enjoyable part of the day. Good luck!
If you’re just starting out, I hope this helps. Three years ago, I started the 30 Days...and quit after 8 days. During Covid, I decided to try again and it was just what the doctor ordered. I felt improvements by day 5 and soon found myself in life-giving rhythm. This has been a God-send. I’m in a time of big transition (resigned as pastor, my mom died, launching a coaching business, America in turmoil, etc) but starting each day with Adriene has brought renewal. I feel replenished. I finished the 30 days yesterday and I’m back to start again today. So...take it easy. Don’t worry about perfection. Just prioritize the time, show up, and be present. You’ll get results in body and soul. Peace! :D
This was such an encouraging comment! I am starting the 30 Days tomorrow on July 1st, and after reading your comment I'm much less nervous than I was. Thank you! I'm sorry for the loss of your mom. I wish you hope and a bit of luck during this time.
Thanks for the comment Steve, fellow day 8 quitter and new beginner. Condolences on your loss as well as best wishes for what sounds like an exciting and promising future.
Those of you who are starting today. Follow through with it. Maybe you will miss a couple of days. Maybe you will finish the challenge in 45 days instead of 30. But just go through with it. :) We are all in this together. We will work together! There something very powerful about taking just 30 minutes out for yourself and your well being.

@@TheKumaran82 Nope, this is day one out of thirty. You can find the rest of the days on her channel or by searching '30 Day Yoga Challenge' in the TH-cam search bar and clicking on the playlist :)
I'm on day 29 and wanted to circle back to describe how powerful, but gentle, this series is. I'm a 65-year-old man with a bit of a belly and I sit at a computer all day long. The first few days had me breathing hard and sweating and I had to take a lot of breaks, huffing, and puffing. I told myself, if I make it to Day 5 I'll reward myself with a yoga matt and blocks. No sweat ;-) As each day passed I noticed how my body re-adjusted. My movements during the day became smoother, my digestion completely changed (for the better), and my appetite really shifted. I now eat less at each meal which is really cool. I'm amazed at how this 30-40 minutes each day of being focused and stretching has transformed me. Adriene is encouraging, gentle, and graceful and is a wonderful guide to the experience of doing yoga for yourself. Her continual reminders of deep breathing with the movement and the suggestions of being playful and smiling really help your mind get in synch. She shows many alternative poses and after every challenging pose, she offers one allowing you to catch your breath and rest. Thanks, Adrienne (and your camera person)! I've now made yoga a regular part of my life. I'm also now a member so I can access your other resources and can continue exploring yoga.
Such an inspiring testimonial Peter! I just read it to my husband who is about to celebrate his 60th birthday tomorrow. He might celebrate by beginning a yoga practice with Adriene!
I now have over 60 days of yoga (with Adriene) on my mat. I'm getting into the rhythm and feel in control of my body (although gravity is still not my best friend when doing some of those balancing poses...) Best of luck to both of you. Doing yoga with a partner is a rare treat! But, solo is good too. It is certainly helping me address each day! And even though my wife cannot join me, she encourages and supports my daily practice. Yea! You are starting on a wonderful journey. I wish you both great energy.
All right! You've passed the 30-day mark. Conga Rats! Yes, I'm still going strong with Adrienne, just finishing up my third month. I've noticed several things. First, Adrienne is not only sharing her yoga expertise but gives me daily affirmations as well. I didn't really notice them when I started, but now, seeing repeat videos and getting my balance and my breath, I find myself hearing Adrienne throughout the day. I can tell a real difference in my posture and breathing. I'm smelling things that I wasn't even aware of before which is a wonderful thing now that Spring is arriving. Also, my body is getting stronger and my balance is so much better. Doing yoga with Adrienne every morning is like reading a chapter in a really, really good book. One where you never know what will happen that day. Keep it up Danyeil. It keeps getting better and better. And, namasté Adrienne! I send my energy to you. Every day I appreciate all that you are sharing both with the yoga practice and your daily affirmations. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
Maybe some people think it might be too intensive. Probably people that tried it never did any sports of physical activity. The thing is starting any physical activiy requires a lot of patience and hard work even though one is realxed and stretching. It´s important that you are capable to bare frustration. I couldn´t even stretch yesterday when i begun with the classes but i believe i will start doing it so with more practice. People dont give up so easily!!! ;)
i can also see if it's too slow. Ive taken a relaxing yoga and power yoga class. Those who want a 'work out' would probably not like this and be annoyed that youtube recommended her video. For those looking for a beginner's video that is taking it slow but not too slow would like this. She also doesnt have an annoying voice or talk too much.
There is a massive ammount of likes! 182K and less than 4k dislikes. Good youtube videos that I have seen in general tend to have about 10% dislikes v likes. I am giving it one more like!
Maybe it is because she provides very few ideas for modifications. I’m thankful I’ve done enough yoga in the past to know what to do for my bum knee and short arms and legs. Otherwise even something as simple as these poses would be frustrating and even heartbreaking because I simply cannot do them.
My daughter convinced me three years ago to try this. I was a 57 year old man who was not into yoga. But I had back and hip pain. What a difference this has made for me. Just turned 60 and feel good. Try it and stay with it. Use a chair if you need to as you begin. You'll be glad you did it
I'm 61 years old & over the last 2 years have just let myself go due to being the caretaker of an adult daughter with mental illness & being the sole provider of her 2 grandchildren. Real stress, real life. I just finished Day 1 & already feel like a new person with new hope. That's amazing! I'm glistening 😅. Thank you Adriene for being so kind & gentle throughout it. I actually could do way more than I thought! I'm committed now & can't wait to see the difference in my health & attitude towards life. No where to go but up! ❤❤❤
Thank you for sharing your thoughts - I am in a similar space. I'm 59 years old and over the last 3 years have let myself go due to my mother passing unexpectedly and me moving across the country (to Maine) to settle the complicated estate (still not settled). My mothers alcoholic partner was and is still in the home. I have done YWA Yearly 30 Day challenges and I went back to this 30 days of Yoga (vs 24 FLOW) Challenge as I chose to be fully aware and accepting of where I am at today. Thank you, Adriene for being here for us over the years at all different phases of this wonderful, sometimes complicated life!
Just completed day one. Not going to lie I said a couple curse words and got very frustrated that I wasn't able to do several of the positions or whole them for very long, as I am an obese woman. However, after reading through some of the comments made below, I jumped back in and gave it my all. I want to get healthy. I want to do better and I want to be better. I'm hoping this yoga challenge will help me.

We’re all proud of you for starting somewhere! Yoga will not only help you physically, but it will help you emotionally as well! I hope you stuck with it!
Sarah c im proud of you, i understand how hard it can be im young and not overweight and just having a lot of pain and i cried multiple times but just keep moving forward. You're stronger then you think!
I have good days and bad days. This really helps me on bad days though. Even if I only do a few minutes, it is a step in the right direction. Thank you.
Uh, it's horrible. I'm slowly recovering and have decided to do some yoga to fill up my time. With recovering from depression, stress from school, and writing, I'm excited to start yoga :) Best of luck to you and everyone!
An update: I previously mentioned that I'd started " 30 days of Yoga w Adriene" a few years ago and quit after 8 days; then started up during Covid in a year of big loss and transition for me. I'm now finishing my fourth round of 30 days and I'm so happy. It's just how I start every day now -- part of my "morning rituals." It's one of the "pandemic positives" that are mine to keep. As Adriene suggests, we're supposed to become our own guide in time so I don't always follow step for step. Sometimes I turn the audio down and freestyle with the video running for inspiration and to help me when I get stuck. Also, I went to her website and bought the course. She has a "name your own price" thing, so it supports the cause, is not cost prohibitive and you don't have to watch TH-cam commercials. Pretty cool. So keep up the good work, all. And thank you, Adriene, for helping us find happiness :)
Don’t know if you still read these Adriene, but to anyone reading this, I have repeatedly kept trying to lose weight only to give up after a couple of days or weeks. I’m starting my weight loss journey again and I just want you to know to never stop trying even if you fail to stick with it. Go back. Push harder. Know that I and other people are going through this too. I weigh 255 lbs and plan to get down to 200 by the end of 2019 with the help of these videos and jogging. 55 pounds in 365 days? That should be nothing. Let’s do this and be healthier people together. Thanks again Adriene.
I have been a student of Adriene's for years, but have been struck down with a severe illness in 2018 and was bedridden. I am here, up starting with Dedicate to begin to move again. Yoga is the greatest way to heal, move, and most important, accept yourself. If you want to lose 55 lbs, being with Adriene for 30 days will enable you in your process of self confidence determination and self acceptance and self-love.
How can so many dislike this .. this was absolutely perfect for someone wanting to start yoga for the first time or even get tips on teaching it.. Thanks so much Adriene
I started doing yoga with you on January 8, 2018. Honestly I couldn't do a thing, I was about to turn 52, had a big tummy, could barely stretch to touch my knee caps and when I did yoga on the floor, my body shook like a washboard; my big dream was to do downward dog, just. I just kept at it; and I increased my time with you just a little every day. Now, here at the end of March 2018, I practice yoga daily. In fact I'm doing three engagements (day one, two and three) with you a day. So has "Yoga with Adrienne" helped me? Well I've lost 27 pounds and I look a decade younger. I've also gotten about 6 other men in their 50's to try doing "Yoga with Adrienne". Happy to send you a before and after pic (just tell me where to send it). Oh one more thing - I'm not done losing weight or feeling good! I'm actually hooked now because you are such a great instructor. You have a way of making all of your Yogi's (did I say that right) feel like yoga is the best "feel good" medicine around and it can change anyone's life for the better. All I can tell you is that your video's have changed mine. Thank you - and I encourage folks to just, start.

Jeffrey Vargas thanks for the encouragement. I asked the Yoga group on the Fitbit community where to start learning about yoga and about 80% said to try Yoga With Adriene. With that kind if recommendation, and reading your comment, I’m pretty sure I’m in the right place. Thanks for your testimonial. Hope you’re doing great now in mid-September 2018!
Thank you for sharing I’ve just started! And I’m trying to lose weight as well as just feel mentally and physically happier. I was so worried that I wouldn’t lose weight doing yoga alone so it’s good to hear that someone has :)!
This has significantly improved my mental and physical health. By doing yoga once a day, I've been able to decrease my use of antidepressants. Thank you so much.
starting this today because i need to improve my life mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually. i have healed from a lot of traumas and abuse, learned how to manage my depression and anxiety, but i am still struggling to move forward for some reason. i am so afraid of starting new things. so afraid of failure. but i’m tired of being paralyzed by fear. it has controlled my life forever and i want to try and i want fail. i want to struggle with new hobbies and get frustrated and improve with consistency and dedication. no one will read this but i am really just posting this for myself and anyone else who is scared of starting. yoga is something i have been intrigued by for years and i am committing to these 30 days. i have never been consistent but i am changing that habit now.
You are courageous to talk about your challenges. I need to begin this program due to flexibility issues (old lady). It's nice to know there are 'real' people like you here.
You're not alone. I feel you and relate to this a lot. We're in this together, trying, failing, learning, falling, getting up, expanding and growing. I've also just started this. I hope your 30 day journey went well and if it wasn't 'perfect' I hope you found some grace and compassion for yourself 🤍🤗
I hope your 30 days went well. ♥️ Hopefully you can thank your fear for the input and concern but reassure it that you’ll try new things and be fine. Best of everything to you!
Who else wants to join me January 1st 2020? I just discovered this 30 day challenge with Adrienne and I have always wanted to start yoga so I am pretty excited!
9/24/2023 Day 1. I had no idea how tight and out of shape I've become at 50. This is a little hard for me. 😢 please keep me in your thoughts. I do need this. Thank you for this series. It's truly a gift.
I have just completed my 30 days and I just wanted to say this is the best gift I have ever given myself. Don't wait until the "right time" to start this, if you can keep to these 30 days of yoga when everything in life is messy and chaotic, you'll have added an incredible tool to your belt of coping mechanisms. I started and quit this program in the midst of my dad's battle with cancer. Over the course of his 2-year decline, I severely neglected my health and when he passed I was broken in mind, body, and spirit. I have since learned that life is made of seasons, and we cannot wait until the hard seasons have passed before we finally show up for ourselves. We need to love and nurture ourselves through those hard times. I restarted this journey in the middle of a transitional period. I am living with my in-laws waiting for my cabin to be finished. It's not a positive environment here and some people would think I'm crazy for committing to this yoga practice while I live in this house among toxic people, but it has helped me to find peace amidst the chaos.
Same for me I am so proud of you! speaking from someone who had to pull myself up out of whatever I was going through and now 9 months postpartum ❤Adrienne helped me tremendously I just started again this week and I'm so excited because I know what's going to come! I wish you the best on your journey ❤❤❤❤❤
Hey Adrienne, thank you for creating this wonderful 30 day series. I first discovered your channel during Covid and have done many of your follow along videos since then but today is the first time I feel bold enough to express my gratitude for you and this community here (in my first ever TH-cam comment). Here's to wishing a courageous new journey of self discovery and growth for everyone this new year in 2025...
just finished day 1 and i’m feeling rejuvenated and warm. posting this to keep myself accountable! everybody who is participating alongside me we got this!!
I'm like the last person to even think about doing Yoga, but after months of University work at my desk being hunched over, mixed with quarantine rendering me stiff and inactive, I thought I should treat my body with this. Hopefully throughout this journey some passersby will come across this comment as I intend to edit this comment daily for the 30 days to share my journey! [Day 30/30] - Day 1 - Although light and mellow, there were some poses that were tough for me to do, but I still did them! This is not in any way a fault of Adriene's for making it 'difficult,' it's just cos I've been so inactive for so long lol. But after the video ended my body felt warm and my back feels looser! Already noticing I'm not clicking or creaking as much. - Day 2 - Wow I started this with very tight/obstructed hip flexors in the Child's Pose and ended with a completely new flexibility, mobility and 'looseness.' Also began to sweat which was a surprise for a complete Yoga newbie. This was significantly tougher than yesterday for me, but in the end felt so good. Back and hip flexors feel most changed today. - Day 3 - Felt much more different to what I had already done from the past 2 days and it also felt really fast. Still nice and calming, but personally I hope tomorrow is more like what days 1 and 2 were like! Feel good overall in terms of agility and flexibility. - Day 4 - Now THIS is what I needed, a full on focus for my back. My biggest reason to even start this challenge was to help loosen my back up and 4 days in, it's done just that. Felt so good and also (I think I've done it wrong lol but) my heels touched the mat in Downward Dog! Hope that's a sign of actual progress and not because I've done it wrong lol. Another great video and personally felt much better than yesterday's. - Day 5 - This was 16 minutes?? I swear it only felt like 5 wow this went by so quick. I felt this was very calming for me, however I was in a happier mood than usual today so that could have influenced my feelings. Some of the positions were difficult to do, but that's no fault of Adriene's. It's mine for not getting flexible earlier! But we're learning I guess lol:) - Day 6 - Oh good GOD this one killed me lmao. Yeah my core strength is effectively zero so this is most definitely the hardest video of the series yet (feel like I'm speaking too soon, but I'm tryna be as transparent as possible). Really felt engagment in my core and this Yoga session felt much longer to me than yesterday despite them being 16 mins each. - Day 7 - Oof man this was tough, but I'm gonna blame my over-indulgence (it was Eid today!). Probs the sweatiest I've gotten cos of Yoga so far, but it was pretty good. I feel I would have done better had I not ate so much today lol, but it's all good! Hopefully tomorrow will be better for me personally. - Day 8 - This session has really killed my motivation:( it exposed how inflexible I am and I'm metally back to square one with the mindset of 'Yoga isn't for me.' My hip flexors are still so tight which has demotivated me further because I really thought I was making progress:( I could barely do most of the moves because of how tight my hip flexors are and the cramp I was getting. Want to give up, but I won't. - Day 9 - I think yesterday was an odd blip for me because WOW this felt amazing today! Everything felt so strong, sure they were difficult, but I managed to do nearly everything with good/great form. There were some minor adjustments to the moves I had to make because of my inflexibility, but I am definitely getting better. I can also time my breathing better. - Day 10 - We're a third of the way through! I'm so glad I'm starting to do Yoga in the late morning/early afternoon because it nicely sets the tone of my mood and my day. This was a nice and slow session, felt nice and centred afterwards. Went by very fast. - Day 11 - This felt so incredible for me today wow, I was really focused on all the moves and positions and just feeling every part of my body being really engaged. I think once this 30 Day challenge is done, I will be coming back to this video daily forever because it targeted where the main site of issue is; my hip flexors. I felt so much warmer and looser after this, can't wait for tomorrow! - Day 12 - This was a nice, slow and soothing session for me. Very peaceful flow of movements, despite some poses being a little difficult to do! Managed to keep up with the pace nicely and modified poses for my ability level. - Day 13 - The hardest part of this entire session was tryna get your palms to meet in Eagle Pose cos how on earth can you pretzel your arms like that?? Really good session overall though, feeling more and more connected per day and I can't believe it's been nearly 2 weeks of this! Flown by:) - Day 14 - 2 weeks done! Been a great journey, loved it so far. This was a nice short session, but man my hamstrings cramped in that new pose:( Hurt pretty bad, but on the whole this was really nice. Can't believe we're nearly halfway done. - Day 15 - We're halfway through! So crazy, also sorry for not updating this when I did it yesterday, it was my dad's bday:) but this was definitely the most challenging one so far. A lot of balance required and I'm not afraid to say I literally toppled over in a few poses hehe. But it felt really good. Can't believe we've made it this far! - Day 16 - As good as this felt, this was NOT easy OR breezy lol. It was fast, fluid, intense and sweaty. But it felt really great. I'm over halfway into this journey and I'm STILL surprised how sweaty I can get just from yoga! Really good session today, shower is very much needed hehe. - Day 17 - My heels can touch the mat in Downward Dog! This time with proper form, that is massive progress for me personally and also I was surprised I was able to reach back and grab my arch in that new pose. Loving how much progress I have made and how agile and flexible I am feeling compared to Day 1:) - Day 18 - This felt reaaally good for my hip flexors, which have been thecommon theme of my daily Yoga updates doing this challenge. I also surprised myself that I actually managed to keep my balance AND bend over in that single-legged forward fold! The stretch that I felt was amazing and literally 2 minutes after it, my hips flexors had never felt so loose! Amazing session today. - Day 19 - This was a very soothing and calming session. Probably the most connected I've ever felt to my breathing and energy, in my entire life. Much needed wind-down and relaxation, can't believe we'll be going into the final 10 days from tomorrow! - Day 20 - We're in the final 10 days I can't believe it! Was in a rush today as I was attending a peaceful protest for BLM here today, but this managed to soothe and calm my mind very well. I even made further progress in my flexibility! So great to see the progress in myself. - Day 21 - 3 weeks officially complete! I made even more progress here I'm v proud. Managed to place my palms onto the mat in forward fold with straight legs, I also managed to hold Warrior Pose in near perfect form and I even did the Frog Squat for the first time ever! And we still have 9 days left to go to make more progress:) - Day 22 - Another one that did my hip flexors really well, loved how deep the moves and stretches felt. Also loved the focus on Warrior Pose movements, they further helped my hips to open. - Day 23 - Just one week remaining:( kinda sad it's ending soon. Anyways, the side plank was quite difficult but I weirdly noticed my balance and strength is greater on my left side than my right. Strange thing to occur, but just a thing for me to improve on I guess! - Day 24 - Wow how strange is it that the first video where Savasana lasted for a few minutes, I didn't even notice. I was in pure relaxation and stillness until I noticed the gentle music had stopped. Anyway, this is another video I think I'll be returning to after his challenge is done as it really attacked my hip flexors well! Another great session, just 6 days remain:( - Day 25 - Went by very quick so I decided to take up Adriene's advice of doing one of the options she gave at the end. I did the hip openers since that's been my main focus and weakness, but other than that it was a nice and easy and mellow session today. Getting closer to the end now:( - Day 26 - This was a nice and calming session and honestly didn't feel that long to me! Very soothing stretches into different parts of my body that somehow needed to be stretched today, coincidentally, more than ever. - Day 27 - This was like a really good test for myself to see how much progress I've made with my flexibility. And I'm happy to say and see so much progress! Flat feet in Downward Dog, improved hip motility, deeper Cat-Cow and a lot less stffiness and pain. This video for me was an amazing progress checkpoint! - Day 28 - Wow that flipped Downward Dog was insane, but what's crazier is the fact that I even managed to pull it off! Felt so good to do a difficult move. Overall great video again, was great for my entire body and I loved how Adriene gave us a bit more freedom on how to transition into different positions. It's a nice subtle way to show her build in trust in us over this 30 day journey and to remind us that it's always been us in control, not Adriene:) - Day 29 - The penultimate session:( it was another nice video, nothing too challenging or difficult. Can't believe tomorrow is the last one! - Day 30 - Journey complete. Thank you Adriene for making an average person like me find a new appreciation for Yoga, for guiding a complete newbie and nurturing me the past 30 days and for helping me fix my back and hip flexors. I'll miss this.
Thank you so much for taking time to give such awesome feedback. I just did Day 1, but having read your comments I'm motivated to definitely go through till the Day 30 Session :)
@@drjams03 oh wow I never expected all these likes let alone a reply! I'm so glad you feel more motivated, that was the precise intention of my daily updates. The hope that I could inspire at least one other person to keep going! You're definitely more than capable to complete this, keep at it and I promise you'll thank yourself:)
When Adriene said "allow yourself to do nothing" I burst into tears!!! Adriene you are doing such important healing work. Thank you for sharing your light!
Started Day 1 today! 19 July 2023. If anyone else is doing it too, go you! Yay! I think Day 1 is well suited to someone whose regular yoga practice lapsed decades ago but remembers (more or less) the basics. I write from the POV of someone who is a bit uncoordinated and confuses left and right :-)
I’m an overweight mid 20s girl that’s never tried yoga before and it was definitely frustrating not being able to do every single pose in this video but I’m going to come back and keep trying until I get it right! Felt great despite all that: day 1 complete :)
i'm overweight as well and started this challenge. I totally understand what you're feeling. try to Modify the poses in that way where you feel it but make sure you aren't uncomfortable! "listen to your body" is so essential to yoga.
Today is the first day of the rest of my life. I went from 140 to 200 pounds, thanks to my anxiety. I'm ready to finally live! Day 1... Let's get it!! Thanks for posting this video! Namaste
Today was my first day EVER trying yoga. I really thought yoga wasnt going to be challenging. I definitely lost a lot of the poses and had to keep checking the computer screen, but i truly feel more stretched out and calm. This is my first day getting back to being active. I went for a 40 min. walk/jog and that wore me out. But I do not have access or money to a gym so I am trying what I can for free. So i decided to try yoga. I was first hesitant on yoga or Pilates. I saw that yoga deals more with your mental health and that is definitely something I need more help in. So proud of myself and anyone else doing their first day! Such a big step! Thank you Adriene.
I’m 18 years old and having overcome an existential depression, anxiety and drug abuse, I found this video as I looked to start yoga to improve my body for Football. As I lied down in the final pose (shavasana) and started being grateful, I began to burst into tears, wept and screamed out in thankfulness for the miracle which had happened in my life. All of a sudden I felt so much energy inside me that I began to uncontrollably SHAKE and believe God had taken over me momentarily. I soon discovered that what I experienced was a ‘Spiritual Awakening’. Thank you Adriane for changing my life and helping me find my spirituality. One day when I make football my Profession, hopefully we can meet eachother and have a good chat, you always make me laugh in your videos. Much love from a future Liverpool FC player.
I’m just checking back on day 1 to encourage all others who are starting on this 30 days journey and beyond. I started this 15 days ago with constant right lower back and buttock pain radiating down the right leg because of disks herniation compressing the right side of L4-L5 and L5-S1 nerve roots. The pain was constant and would wake me at night. I decided to start on this journey while at the same time scheduling a steroid injection to those nerve roots. After 7 days of practice, my pain was at a level where I decided to not go forward with the steroid injection. Now, at 15 days of constant practice I can say that I am pain free! I will continue this practice moving forward. Adrienne, thank you for your accessibility!
Thank you so much, Adriene for all of your videos and for just having a positive impact on people's lives. I had the idea of taking up yoga to improve my overall well-being, but wasn't really sold until I came across one of your videos. I've since checked out many other yoga videos, but none of them are as enjoyable as the ones you put out. Your personality, energy, attention to detail, and positive encouragement to let us have our own journey and experience really sets you apart. I was supplementing your videos with another 30 day challenge on youtube, but now I'll be able to do the same with the best yoga instructor out there! I'm a lifelong fan! Keep being amazing and much love!
A lot of people like doing it in the morning because you haven't eaten yet, but I tend to do it in the afternoon because if I do anything too early in the morning I tend to accidentally do too much and end up throwing my back out or something.
Can't agree more with you, Mehar. Thank you so much, Adriene. I was feeling restless and agitated before the practice and now I'm feeling completely relaxed and rejuvenated. Thank you, Adriene, for bringing wellness, calm and inner strength into my life!
I have just completed the 30 days and I loved it ! I'm 62 years old dodgy knee but reasonably fit for my age. I gave it all a go and I loved the way you created a vibe where it was ok to do what you can.Thank you Adrienne for showing the world of Yoga.
My 6 year old daughter found your yoga videos and we have been doing them together for 4 days now. After a mentally draining year of unfortunate events ,after only 4 days my body and mind are changing already. My daughter and I enjoy our special yoga time everyday. Very thankful for you and making yoga approachable!
Isolation yoga here too. Helps with the stress and worries about the unknown of this thing. I just finished the 30 day challenge yesterday and I am starting over. Day 1 easier second time around!
I was just looking for options during this isolation and it seems as good a time as any to do a 30 day yoga challenge. I was also trying to find a way for my 5 yo to start the day with me since I am basically homeschooling during this process. Lol!
I was so stressed out when I saw this video was 35 minutes since deadlines are approaching and I'm stressed out. Thankyou for making me take a moment and just breathe! I'm ready to get to work far more positively now :) looking forward to the series!
Love this! I love how Adriene isn't all stiff "follow my movements exactly". She isn't afraid to let you go, to be silly and just have fun! I mean, what other yoga instructor would say "Hey-o!" throughout the workout?! Love this and can't wait to keep on with the 30 day challenge! I have done some yoga with Adriene in the past just random days but my mom told me that she has been doing this challenge and how much better she feels! She is 67 and is dealing with knee pain but she said that her pain has lessened and she is on day 15! I have my two boys so I'm hoping to remember to do this daily!
So today was the day I decided to take a hold of my life. Being over weight has gotten to me over the years but I wouldn't do anything about it. Today after being in College for almost a year and a weight of 299 lbs and being 6'2'' I decided to begin doing yoga just today. I had enough and needed to get off my butt and enjoy life and become healthy before I die of obesity. After HS I thought I was at least a little bit for fit than I really am, I played softball, road my bike, and did other sports. As I began this first day of yoga I realized how out of shape I was, I used to be able to do lunges now I can't. So here is to my first day of doing yoga and breaking a sweat.
Wauw! Yes! I am not overweight, but definitely at an unhealthy weight and totally out of shape, when I started yoga I kinda panicked how tough it was 😅 but after 3 months of consistency I could do so much more and felt a-ma-zing! (Unfortunately I got out of this rhythm and have to start again now ;))
I didn't even make it through the first half hour, but I feel better doing what I was able to do! I'm 5' 4" and weigh 160, and I have never been this heavy in my life. I am with you all the way girl! :) We'll figure out this breathing and centering, and get our bodies back together! :) Enjoy!
Good for you! I'm 6'2" as well. I'm going to start the 30 days of yoga today and follow your lead. Wondering how you're feeling 2 weeks in. Don't give up. That's always my biggest problem. I'm so hard on myself for lacking consistency, but the important part is that we keep getting back on the horse ;-) hope you are well and feeling good.
After minimizing all of my physical items, (becoming more of a minimalist) becoming vegetarian, getting my shit together, I really think yoga is the final touch. It's so relaxing, and after a stressful day of work or school it really lets you cool down. I wanted to try it out, so here I am. Day 1 is done! I feel like this is a challenge I'd actually keep up with. It's so fun, so calm and relaxing, I think 30 days will go by like a breeze.
I can also recommend veganism, it makes all the difference and makes you feel amazing physically and psychologically. It also goes really well with minimalism since it saves a ton of resources:) Maybe check out youtuber Jenny Mustard, she talks about it in a great way.
I just completed the 30 days without missing one day and wanted to say to those who are just starting or want to start but feel intimidated please just show up to the mat and let Adriene guide you. You will not regret it. There were days when I really didn't want to do it but I showed up and somehow it was exactly what my body, mind and spirit needed. Good luck
what if I can't do the full plank? I'm beginner and I want to try this so bad to get stronger and better but I fear I won't be able to do alot of poses.
@@rachellewellborn2555 Modify. If you can't do a full plank, do a half plank. If you can't do downward dog, take a child's pose or do puppy posture. Etc, etc. As you continue to do yoga, you'll build more strength and the poses will come much easier to you. But until that happens, only do what your body is able to do. Don't push yourself too far. It's not about what the shape looks like, it's about how the shape makes you feel.
now i now what my best friend has been talking about! I mean i've done yoga class before but doing in alone in my room is so much different and I can't wait until tomorrow! Perfect before night time, being relaxed before bed. Thank you for making yoga so much fun for a beginner like me :)
I've been over weight my entire life and I finally started losing weight, then depression came along and not I'm over 200. I completed the beginners video and day 1 of the challenge just in the last hour. I believe i can do this and I will get back down to 170!
I'm in your same place. I am hoping that easing into this yoga challenge will make me feel better in my older and bigger and stiffer body--then perhaps I can work towards more strenuous activities and join you at 170! :) Good luck!
I'm going to be honest here. I'm a 15 year old boy that's trying to get in better shape and I want to really lose a little bit of weight. And if any of my friends were to figure out I'm doing this they would probably tease the crap out of me. But anyways, I hope this really helps me and by reading the comments I see that it does. Wish me luck! 😊
+Aaron Lightle Good luck. I would recommend doing this regardless of your fitness goals or what your friends think. It's good for your brain and if you skate (judging by your profile picture) it's a good way to stay loose and avoid injuries. That being said, I personally haven't found yoga to be useful for losing weight. I'm not sure what other people experience, but I don't feel like I burn many calories doing this stuff. If you're looking to improve your physique, regardless of your weight, I would recommend weightlifting (check out the book Starting Strength). Also, eating gross healthy food and cutting empty calories. It's hard at first but it gets easier pretty quickly.
+David Evans hopefully it can help me with mma and being relaxed and im judo when being thrown around because my weightlifting routine might have made me stiff( in terms of relaxation not so much flexibilty ) even though im not the most flexible guy
+Aaron Lightle I love your honesty !!! Just do it! Don't tell them, then they'll see the results and you can brag about it :p . It really helps. !! Adrianne has a complete series on Yoga for weight loss, more targeted to burn calories !! You can check them !! Eat healthy and give yourself a cheat day is the way to go. I've lost 30 pounds so far :) and I still eat cake and pizza !! :p
+Aaron Lightle To lose weight doing Yoga, you need to do it every day and focus on getting the forms as good as you can on that day. The other important thing is to keep up with your daily food intake. I have an app on my phone (you can search Play/Apple store for one that works for you) that keeps up with my calorie intake, and helps me make good decisions about my meals. As far as people teasing you, at some point, you'll realize that has nothing to do with you as a person. As you mature, learning to be happy and secure in your own person becomes much more important than what anyone else thinks. Keep up the great work, and you will be amazing!
Luck! Me too except I don't really need to lose weight I'm a dancer and I just need to get stronger and flexible but I applaud you for doing this even though you probably will get teased and I just hope you get what you're looking for I think you will.
Hey you - yes you!! If you’re like me just starting yoga with this ‘30 days’ series then well done, keep going! It took me about 4 months to get through the 30 days, but I made it to the end eventually, woohoo! In that time it has given me the confidence to join yoga classes without feeling like a complete novice - I never thought I’d be doing a tree pose, even if it is a bit wobbly! As well as being more flexible it has definitely made me fitter and stronger than I expected - I even managed a 10k run without any training (not something I’d recommend of course...). Adriene has made yoga a fun and motivating part of my life and I’ll definitely stick with it now, and I hope y’all do too - good luck on your journey. Namaste Adriene!! :)
I have recently been diagnosed with degenerative dics disease, I also have a trapped nerve down my left leg that has been agony for over a year now, I have been on hard painkillers for that amount of time too, and have been put on the waiting list for surgery to correct the trapped nerve. Through a lot of research I had an 'Ah ha' moment and I decided that yoga and diet have got to be the medicine to correct this. I started 3 weeks ago with your yoga for lower back pain video, and it has been amazing! I already feel the benefits, my pain has lessened - I can't believe it! For the first time ever, I know I am really listening to my body, and with your guidance I am not pushing it to do everything that you're showing, but only the things that feel right. I live in a fairly rural place on the west coast of Scotland, we have no yoga classes - but I really feel like I'm getting a one on one session with an extremely knowledgable and talented lady. Thank you so so much Adriene!
Amazingly, I didn't need the painkiller injection into the nerve in my leg because I am now completely pain free there! I've been taking off the waiting list for surgery too! I still have a very sore lower back, but I'm mostly using yoga to deal with that pain, and I have drastically reduced the amount of medication I was taking. I really hope you can convince your Dad, and that it helps him as much as it's helped me. Good luck! xx
I picked up my courage and told my eating disorder to get lost. It has taken me years but I just decided to stop. There is nothing else you can do. It depends on you. I want to start taking care of myself, and the first thing that popped up in my mind was yoga... I have never tried yoga and I probably suck but I'm curious to try it out! This will be my first yoga workout!
It does not matter if you're good or not, yoga is for learning what you need and what your body needs. If you "suck", that's okay, yoga isn't for people that are good at it, it's for the learners. Kudos to you for taking the first step to a better life 😁
I used to have eating disorders from middle school to 22 years old. but then I became a follower of Jesus and got healed! :) one of the reasons all my costumes are modest is because I want to make people feel comfortable and not think too much about body image
I have loosely done yoga poses here and there to try and stretch when I’m tense. I’ve never really done a whole flow or whatever it’s called. I’ve always gotten frustrated that “I don’t bend that way” or that I’m too anxious for it. I did this entire video with Adriene today on a whim to feel better living with my chronic pain. I didn’t expect to feel this much better after one day. I’m not cured or whatever, obviously. But wow my body does feel lots better. Thanks for sharing such a lovely gift.
Hi there! If you're reading this and you happen to be new to this journey, I just wanna let you know that today was the final day of this journey for me. It has massively changed and helped my flexibility, my back and my breathing. It was worth every single day to get onto the mat and start the video. The journey coming to an end for me was quite sad cos I get attached to routines very quickly, but if you're thinking of doing this then I highly recommend it! Thank you Adriene for helping me find a love for Yoga. And for any newcomers still reading this, don't give up! You'll get to the final day and thank yourself whilst beaming with pride and maybe feeling a little sad that it's all over.
To all reading this: I just finished my 30 days. I didn’t know if I was going to stick with it, but it was wonderful. My lower back pain has decreased significantly and I now look forward to doing yoga each morning...even if for only 10 minutes. Take on this challenge. You won’t be disappointed. ❤️
I am here tonight because I am sharing this video with my mom who needs anxiety relief and it makes me nostalgic because this video was what started me on my healing journey in 2018. I practiced with you everyday at home as a single mother of a small child with A LOT of problems at the time. Fast forward, I became a yoga teacher in 2019 and I have completely changed my entire life. This video saved my life, essentially. THANK YOU ADRIENE, I LOVE YOU ❤️
I suffer from severe anxiety and depression.. I think I might start this and what I'll do is do each video twice a day so once in the morning and once in the evening. That way I'll be doing an hour a day. I really hope this helps me because anxiety is ruining my life and doing it in the evening maybe could help my insomnia
Check out Jason Stephenson as well on here, he has some great guided meditation audio that can help you relax and calm down. He has helped me in many ways. Always, when anxiety kicks in, what works for me, is just talking to someone, anyone. Try not to be alone or let your thoughts run wild. Deep breaths, and really focus on your breathing. If need to, grab some water, pick up the phone and get in touch with someone. Hope it helps
Joelle Morton wow thank you!! Although cbt hasn't helped me much and neither has therapy.... and therapy is quite expensive in London so it's very difficult..
I am doing this particular 30 day challenge for the 2nd time now and I can't get over the fact that how much I have changed both physically and mentally.... so for those of who are just starting this challenge don't give up, loads of happiness is coming your way(again both physically and mentally)😀
Today (Dec 1, 2021) is the first day of 365 days of yoga. I plan to accomplish 1 hour of yoga everyday until we meet here again on Dec 1, 2022. I'll be documenting my progress and experience and hopefully post here to TH-cam after some time. Thank you Adrienne ❤️
I remember doing it for the first time almost 3 years ago and being so.freaking.tired. Now it feels like just a warm up xD To all the person who just started - it's totally worth it. I have depression, anxiety and neurological illness and it helped me to feel better not only physcicaly (when you suffer from depression and anxiety your muscles are tensed too much) but also mentally.
I completed the 30 Days of Yoga challenge, but I redid this video to see how far I've come from the first day. I didn't give up in the middle of poses this time around, and the poses were easier to do! I didn't realize it until now, but I'm a lot stronger compared to Day 1! To my Day 1 friends, YOU GOT THIS!!!
Bruh… I’ve been doing this five years and I’m still trying to finish the 30 days all in one go. This time is different, I’mma get it. I promise y’all. Y’all think I can do it 👇🏾
I've started this challenge so many times, and I've only completely done it once. These 30 days are great and if you can even just get on the mat for one minute then that's an achievement! Keep going everyone!
My father made me do yoga everyday as a child. I actually enjoyed it. I was quite fit for most of my life. Four years ago i made some horrible lifestyle choices and am now addicted to smoking. I have also put on 25 kilos in that period. Today i start afresh to get my mind and body back on track.
@@Kai-qd1le hey Kyle. Thanks for asking. I have lost 4 kilograms. Haven't touched a liquor in the last month. No junk food in that time either. I have not been able to quit smoking entirely. I steal a smoke here and there in the week that I am trying to eliminate altogether.
@@TheKingoncrack thanks for the reply, sad to hear about you still smoking but i swear you can find a yoga class on youtube to stop smoking... im certain i saw it earlier today...
Day 1 complete. :) I am a HIIT enthusiast so plan to do this every other day however after doing day 1 this morning I already feel SO calm which is very difficult for me to find/do as I get really bad anxiety. Thank you Adriene. I LOVE you approach to yoga, calm, well explained but with a little humour. I find other yoga instructors can be patronising/intimidating sometimes.
Penny D Yoga is great for anxiety, it really helps to calm you and I notice that I am a lot calmer when I'm doing yoga. Also look into mindful meditation, just a few minutes a day or whenever you can. It also helps me. I suffer with anxiety but mindfulness and yoga is really making a difference, I've had it for yrs read so many books but only mindfulness and yoga help to change the mind. www.theworks.co.uk/p/self-help-books/mindfulness-plain-and-simple/9781409156765?CAWELAID=720011340001856285&CAGPSPN=pla&gclid=CIL2q5fRkcYCFSQGwwod0V4Axg
i’ve already completed this 30 day practice before (and then was able to do a scorpion where you grab your foot from behind your head!!) but i’ve gotten out of practice with yoga and decided to start again. i’m planning on doing ALL the 30 day yoga journeys!!! it might take me a few years (one time a 30 day yoga practice took me 2 years to complete…..) but i’m gonna do it!
I’m 62 years old. I started with you 10 years ago just as I was preparing for my wedding and a new life with my wonderful husband. I’ve not always made it to the mat but I’ve made it very, very often. I’m so excited for another year with you. After this 30 days I’m going all the way back to Day one of year one of 30 days of Yoga. I’m excited to go back and see how much you and I have grown. Bless you!
I have an online yoga buddy and we check in daily with our practice. After completing the 2024 30-Days of Yoga, I suggested we do just that. Begin with Adrienne’s beginning. ❤
Day 1 of Quarantine Yoga done My two-year-old and I had a good time though we might not have hit every pose 😂 But it feels good to start a practice up again
Just finished Day One! It was a little awkward but I feel incredible after the experience! Also, in the final pose I felt like crying. So I did. Not sure what that was about, but it felt good. Thank you, Adriene.
Today it has been the first day I did yoga with adriane. after 5 minutes it started I cried .I think I cried because my body really needed that kind of exercise. I feel much better now
You probably cried because there was a release of energy from somewhere in your body and the yoga helped you push your energy around and caused an outburst on the release of this energy
This may have been the start of the first 30-day program I ever did, perhaps even the first YWA video ever as my last post was at least 4 years ago. It is a wonderful way to start the morning and week. Ease day 16. 1107 days in a row.🎉
(posting this message on the first day to hopefully get others motivated to start as well!) Hello Adriene! We are a group of 3-5 friends following the 30-day yoga challenge. At first we started altogether because we thought that this way we would motivate each other and won't give up. We're on day 12 and we are ADDICTED! We don't know how life was before starting the challenge, but we know we won't stop after the 30 days are over. We feel the change in our bodies and mood already. We think that you are an amazing instructor, making everything seem so simple while empowering people at the same time. Also, we love your sense of humour and personality. Please keep on doing what you do! Thank you so much for everything! Much love from Sweden
Just Subscribed yesterday. I am a 260lb,. 35 year old. Not afraid to say it...But My Doc tells me I need to exercise and the thought of trying to go outside and walk here in New Jersey at 37 degrees, I'm not feelin' it! I found you and I watched one of your videos you are my kind of down to earth, not perfect, girl next door kind of lady. So here I am. But anyway, I went to our basement to do your Day 1 video and Baron our dog, would not leave me alone. I have my eyes closed, sittin' indian style feeling my breathe and centering myself, when Baron walks up to me and licks my nose. God love him but I had to chuckle because it was a true metaphor for my current reality. A husband and three kids, 11, 13 and 14. There is no me time even when I'm alone with the dog. I finally got him to chill out and I was able to do the whole practice but OMG, My body is stupid outta sink. But it felt good to have a little ME time. I love your slow easy ways Adriene, thank you for giving us stiff lumps something attainable. I love you already. Side note: do you have any videos on yoga to help sciatica and SI joint pain? Thank you.
I lost 18lbs in 2 weекs! I'vе been using Fоrskolinfit Рro, It works for mе! 1 tablet in the morning, onе bеfоrе dinnеr. Rеаd about this "мagic bullet" hеre edihero.ru/?v=oBu-pQG6sTY_925810
Started today! It was really annoying because I was really into it and my brothers kept coming into the room and people going to the toilet. I share a room with twin brothers who are 7, and there's no door. So I couldn't completely relax because of other people interrupting me. But I've really enjoyed this. I can't get to grips with the downward dog or the plank, but I hope I get there in the end! THIS IS THE BEST NEW YEARS RESOLUTION EVER
I share a room with my sister so I can't do this in my room because it would wake her up, so I came downstairs to try do it and my brother follows me then starts playing really annoying things on his laptop so I can't focus (it's extra irritating because he has his own room to do it and I don't)I asked him to turn it down and he gets mad. You probably don't care, but I just needed somewhere to vent
This is the first time I did this , 2021, and I cried so much during the first 10 minutes when I felt how stiff my joints were, how constricted my body felt. I know I will do all the 30 days and not be desperate when I cant do some of the basic stuff ( too fat and 52 years old). Thank you so much!!
I didn’t do day 6 or 7. I stopped cause things aren’t going well, I’m struggling with my inner demons. Tonight I felt stuck. Almost literally. I didn’t know what to do. I spent two days sleeping, crying out loud. And then it hit me. Let’s do day 1 with Adrien again. It’s easy, I don’t have to go out, I don’t have to change my outfit, I can I do it right here, right now. And I did it. I feel a bit better now. I feel like I have to do your workouts more often. Your calming voice, but yet alive and funny really are medicine to me. Thank you Adrien from the bottom of my heart.

I am super unfit and unhealthy. I've been having major problems with motivation and focus and even getting out of bed in the morning. I'm not sure whether I'll go through this as a challenge, but definitely want to commit to doing yoga most days. I think I'll just repeat day 1 for a few days until I feel a bit more confident and move to day two. My goals are just to feel like I've accomplished something each day and I hope to find focus in other tasks and strengthen my muscles. Good luck everyone.
Why not make this challenge your motivation? Its only 30 days and many of the videos are 30 mins or less. Everyone can find 30 minutes in a day to exercise. Its easy to sit on a sofa and do nothing, but think after this 30 day challenge how good you will feel? Only you can do it! :)
Day one is done. I'm late to the party but I didn't make it a priority to start this. I made the time now and getting up a bit earlier in the morning was worth it. I feel wonderful. Can't wait till tomorrow
Thank you Adriene! I started it today and surprisingly, I feel calmer and relaxed. I'm definitely going to try and keep this up for 30 days. Thank you so much for this.
+Madeleine Norman I just finished yoga camp and was thinking of going down to practicing 3 days a week, but 30 days of yoga is calling my name, so I think I'm with you guys and going for 60 days of yoga!
I'm a newbie and just completed this 30 Days. I want to encourage other curious newbies. You can do it! Get ready for Day 2 and don't give up. Day 2 kicked my butt! It was a rude awakening, but I went through it to the best of my abilities, dripping sweat at the end, feeling happy and mad and the same time. It became further motivation. After completing the 30 Days, I came back to Day 2 as a check-in and loved it. Still challenging , in a wonderful way, and I was absolutely thrilled with the improvement. I think you will be too. :)
My first year following Adrienne without quitting early. I completed “Move” in Jan. Just finished “Breath”. I think I’ll begin a new month with this program tomorrow. Thank you, Adrienne!
Hi - I am doing the same as you! I did breath and now have decided to go right back to the start of all the 30 days of yoga over the years and work thru them. Best decision ever!
Adrienne is my FOREVER instructor! She concentrates on breath and reminds me to breath. I think breathing is one of the key elements and so many others don’t mention it during poses. Plus she’s got an amazing sense of humor. LOVE THIS LADY!
This is my second time doing this playlist of 30 days of yoga. The first time was summer of 2019 - I had recently left a really stressful job with no plan other than to take the summer to myself and work some things out. I did the 30 days, never having done yoga before, and it wasn't always easy but I found it fulfilling and I enjoyed seeing my progress! I continued doing yoga (mostly) daily for the rest of the year and into the dreadful times of 2020. I came back to so many yoga with Adriene videos - different 30 day challenges, or just choosing random ones on my own. I was heading into my 30s and was in the best shape I'd been in my entire adult life. I felt strong and confident and energetic. But somewhere in early 2021 I hit a road block and lost my progress (probably because all of my focus went to planning my wedding). I got a full-time office job in September 2021 and found it hard to take time to myself to move mindfully (or at all). And here we are coming to the end of 2023.... I haven't done yoga at all for at least a year. My movement has been reduced to walks after work. I'm in a cycle where it's hard to get back into it ('it' being any sort of exercise) because it's been so long and then when I do get into it, I feel bad about myself because I can't handle what I could just a few short years ago. So here I am, back with Adriene for this 30 day challenge. Over the next 3 months I hope to build up strength in my body and mind so that I can bring the best version of me to January 2024s 30 day challenge and do it live with everyone again!
Jazmin Mortimer I think I am on day 14 right now lol but it works for me because I mix it with cardio and other types of exercise throughout the week. Sometimes I do certain videos over as well.
This 30 day challenge is what got me into yoga 3 years ago. it was very healing for me, helped me make peace with my mothers passing. this is my third time doing this challenge again, i moved to a different state and its been a huge change for me. Adriene is once again helping me settle in with the changes. I'm so thankful for your channel and positivity.
Day 1 complete on Feb 1st! I’m a 5K and 10K runner and I need more of this in my routine .... I hope I can hit all 30 days! Thank you for making this available!!!
I started day 1 of this series today. It's March 2024. I finished the 30 days for 2024 a few weeks back and found that it really helped me in my overall fitness and really just knowing my own body better.
Starting my yoga journey today and I seriously can't wait to learn more. I have so much anxieties and this really helped me relax and I even teared up at the end for some reason. Very happy I decided to give yoga a try :)
Brittney's daughter Emery day 1 and I already am having a blast I think your YOGA makes me feel like calming😘😘😘😝😝😝 thanks Adrian u make me feel comfortable

Completed my first day of this: as the UK has gone into another national lockdown I wanted to use this to maintain a healthy lifestyle, physically and mentally. I used to got out to the gym and run but with no gym open and it's winter here. Yoga seems like a great solution 😁🙂
So I started doing Yoga with Adriene in 2015 with this exact video to heal from "simple" work related stress. Why "simple" you shall ask. Now April 2022, I live in a different world: moved in together with my partner, moved two times, gave birth to my daughter in 2019, not being able to do any yoga any more since my daughter started being really mobile as a toddler :-), Corona seems to be everywhere (so many tests despite being vaccinated), my mother just died from cancer, my mother in law also suffers from terminal cancer, the Russians invaded Ukraine... So I found myself with a lot of pain and almost unable to move because of all the tight muscles and made my way back to Yoga with Adriene, also starting with this exact video and just doing them one after the other day by day. After a few sessions the pain already eased and my sleep gets better. No pills, no doctor needed. Thank you so much Adriene!!!!
I saw that it was 35 min and I think to myself, hell nahhh I don't want to do something for that long, I have other things to do. Ended up being a wonderful 35 min. Day 2 tomorrow. :)
I’ve tried to do this 30 day challenge three times and have not yet been able to stick with it all the way through but this time I am determined!! I made it to Day 27 on my last attempt but I’m really pushing myself to complete the challenge all the way through this time. I love reading the support here in the comments of this community! Thank you Adriene for your joyful spirit that keeps me coming back to the mat.
It's Valentine's Day. I'm single. So I'm going to love myself. I started this today and really looking forward to getting through all 30 days! I want to feel better about my body - for ME! (Btw, you were recommended to me by Dustin Wills!)
Good luck!
secondcousincurly thanks for the encouragement. I just had a baby and was in a car accidentt after day 1 i del amazing already.
***** has it helped...i have sciatica and am looking to start this
Nyabi please can you let me know which stretches you did which you found on youtube :)
Peace! :D
Just wanted to say you are amazing for making changes in your life like this. I just completed home so this is my next challenge. So worth it!
This was such an encouraging comment! I am starting the 30 Days tomorrow on July 1st, and after reading your comment I'm much less nervous than I was. Thank you! I'm sorry for the loss of your mom. I wish you hope and a bit of luck during this time.
I’m also starting tomorrow, I am so motivated reading your comment.
Thanks for the comment Steve, fellow day 8 quitter and new beginner. Condolences on your loss as well as best wishes for what sounds like an exciting and promising future.
What a good review. That is just what I am hoping for. Thanks I am stating day one today.
I hear you.

Thanks to your comment I followed through! It took me 60 days to finish and would probably have given up after 5 if I hadn't read your comment!
Are we supposed to repeat the same positions/stretches for 30 days. Sorry if I am asking a dumb question as the video title says DAY 1
@@TheKumaran82 Nope, this is day one out of thirty. You can find the rest of the days on her channel or by searching '30 Day Yoga Challenge' in the TH-cam search bar and clicking on the playlist :)
Just finished 30 today . Could write a novel on what this has done for me . All I can say is thank you .
No sweat ;-)
As each day passed I noticed how my body re-adjusted.
Wonderful, Peter! Thank you for sharing! So happy to have you in this beautiful community!
Such an inspiring testimonial Peter! I just read it to my husband who is about to celebrate his 60th birthday tomorrow. He might celebrate by beginning a yoga practice with Adriene!
I now have over 60 days of yoga (with Adriene) on my mat.
I'm getting into the rhythm and feel in control of my body (although gravity is still not my best friend when doing some of those balancing poses...)
Best of luck to both of you. Doing yoga with a partner is a rare treat! But, solo is good too. It is certainly helping me address each day! And even though my wife cannot join me, she encourages and supports my daily practice. Yea!
You are starting on a wonderful journey. I wish you both great energy.
Peter Johnson Is yoga still going good for you? I'm 9 weeks in now and so glad I found her!
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
I don't see why she has so many dislikes, I think she is starting off gently ,just what us beginners need! TY Adriene
Some people are just haters and feel the need to be negative.
You'll be glad you did it
Oh my gosh how awesome are you?! Congratulations on your successful experience and thanks for sharing.
That's amazing❤. You're amazing❤

I just started this as part of my recovery from depression. It is a good start. Thank you so much!

Of course, as with anything else. Initial enthusiasm is the easiest part :)
Gamingwit kay vlogs they are saying that 19 million people watched the Day 1, but only 834k people watched Day 30 (because they quit before day 30)
In the absence of the traditional 30 day series, I'm going right back to the beginning this year! ❤ Day 1 complete ✅
I m starting today.hope ill persevere
no
Don’t know if you still read these Adriene, but to anyone reading this, I have repeatedly kept trying to lose weight only to give up after a couple of days or weeks.
Snake Diet - me and my husband lost 230 lbs last year as a couple! You can do it.
Good luck! :)
I have the same plan! 💪💪
How is it going?
How can so many dislike this .. this was absolutely perfect for someone wanting to start yoga for the first time or even get tips on teaching it.. Thanks so much Adriene
Thank you. Have just finished the 30 days of 2024 and I am starting from the beginning and hopefully doing all the 30 days videos during the year..
Omggg hiiii, I'm doing that as well 😂❤
This is what I am thinking of doing.
Me too!
Me too.
Same here
I started doing yoga with you on January 8, 2018.

Hey
That’s amazing to hear ❤️
Did you ever help someone else do yoga
“Just pause and give yourself permission to do absolutely nothing”.... and just like that I started crying. Thank you, it was beautiful

Sounds like u just needed release from stress. Worked well :)
SAME, sister. Same.
I felt the same way. It was a moment we really needed in the video
Same!!! I wasn't expecting that at all!
starting this today because i need to improve my life mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually. i have healed from a lot of traumas and abuse, learned how to manage my depression and anxiety, but i am still struggling to move forward for some reason. i am so afraid of starting new things. so afraid of failure. but i’m tired of being paralyzed by fear. it has controlled my life forever and i want to try and i want fail. i want to struggle with new hobbies and get frustrated and improve with consistency and dedication. no one will read this but i am really just posting this for myself and anyone else who is scared of starting. yoga is something i have been intrigued by for years and i am committing to these 30 days. i have never been consistent but i am changing that habit now.
You are courageous to talk about your challenges. I need to begin this program due to flexibility issues (old lady). It's nice to know there are 'real' people like you here.
WE ARE TOGETHER IN THIS :) LET'S GO 🌸💛
You're not alone.

I'm in! Let's make a group or sth to stay accountable.
I'm in! 😉
I might!
9/24/2023 Day 1. I had no idea how tight and out of shape I've become at 50. This is a little hard for me. 😢 please keep me in your thoughts. I do need this. Thank you for this series. It's truly a gift.
How are you doing? I was going to start tomorrow and know I am very out of shape.
Stay with it, you've got this!
I just began this today .. sending peace to your situation
Thank you for sharing!
Don't give up 😊
I'm like the last person to even think about doing Yoga, but after months of University work at my desk being hunched over, mixed with quarantine rendering me stiff and inactive, I thought I should treat my body with this. Hopefully throughout this journey some passersby will come across this comment as I intend to edit this comment daily for the 30 days to share my journey! [Day 30/30]
-
Day 1 - Although light and mellow, there were some poses that were tough for me to do, but I still did them! This is not in any way a fault of Adriene's for making it 'difficult,' it's just cos I've been so inactive for so long lol. But after the video ended my body felt warm and my back feels looser! Already noticing I'm not clicking or creaking as much.
-
Day 2 - Wow I started this with very tight/obstructed hip flexors in the Child's Pose and ended with a completely new flexibility, mobility and 'looseness.' Also began to sweat which was a surprise for a complete Yoga newbie. This was significantly tougher than yesterday for me, but in the end felt so good. Back and hip flexors feel most changed today.
-
Day 3 - Felt much more different to what I had already done from the past 2 days and it also felt really fast. Still nice and calming, but personally I hope tomorrow is more like what days 1 and 2 were like! Feel good overall in terms of agility and flexibility.
-
Day 4 - Now THIS is what I needed, a full on focus for my back.
-
Day 5 - This was 16 minutes?? I swear it only felt like 5 wow this went by so quick. I felt this was very calming for me, however I was in a happier mood than usual today so that could have influenced my feelings. Some of the positions were difficult to do, but that's no fault of Adriene's. It's mine for not getting flexible earlier! But we're learning I guess lol:)
-
Day 6 - Oh good GOD this one killed me lmao.
-
Day 7 - Oof man this was tough, but I'm gonna blame my over-indulgence (it was Eid today!). Probs the sweatiest I've gotten cos of Yoga so far, but it was pretty good. I feel I would have done better had I not ate so much today lol, but it's all good! Hopefully tomorrow will be better for me personally.
-
Day 8 - This session has really killed my motivation:( it exposed how inflexible I am and I'm metally back to square one with the mindset of 'Yoga isn't for me.' My hip flexors are still so tight which has demotivated me further because I really thought I was making progress:( I could barely do most of the moves because of how tight my hip flexors are and the cramp I was getting. Want to give up, but I won't.
-
Day 9 - I think yesterday was an odd blip for me because WOW this felt amazing today! Everything felt so strong, sure they were difficult, but I managed to do nearly everything with good/great form. There were some minor adjustments to the moves I had to make because of my inflexibility, but I am definitely getting better. I can also time my breathing better.
-
Day 10 - We're a third of the way through! I'm so glad I'm starting to do Yoga in the late morning/early afternoon because it nicely sets the tone of my mood and my day. This was a nice and slow session, felt nice and centred afterwards. Went by very fast.
-
Day 11 - This felt so incredible for me today wow, I was really focused on all the moves and positions and just feeling every part of my body being really engaged. I think once this 30 Day challenge is done, I will be coming back to this video daily forever because it targeted where the main site of issue is; my hip flexors. I felt so much warmer and looser after this, can't wait for tomorrow!
-
Day 12 - This was a nice, slow and soothing session for me. Very peaceful flow of movements, despite some poses being a little difficult to do! Managed to keep up with the pace nicely and modified poses for my ability level.
-
Day 13 - The hardest part of this entire session was tryna get your palms to meet in Eagle Pose cos how on earth can you pretzel your arms like that?? Really good session overall though, feeling more and more connected per day and I can't believe it's been nearly 2 weeks of this! Flown by:)
-
Day 14 - 2 weeks done! Been a great journey, loved it so far. This was a nice short session, but man my hamstrings cramped in that new pose:( Hurt pretty bad, but on the whole this was really nice. Can't believe we're nearly halfway done.
-
Day 15 - We're halfway through!
-
Day 16 - As good as this felt, this was NOT easy OR breezy lol. It was fast, fluid, intense and sweaty. But it felt really great. I'm over halfway into this journey and I'm STILL surprised how sweaty I can get just from yoga! Really good session today, shower is very much needed hehe.
-
Day 17 - My heels can touch the mat in Downward Dog! This time with proper form, that is massive progress for me personally and also I was surprised I was able to reach back and grab my arch in that new pose. Loving how much progress I have made and how agile and flexible I am feeling compared to Day 1:)
-
Day 18 - This felt reaaally good for my hip flexors, which have been thecommon theme of my daily Yoga updates doing this challenge. I also surprised myself that I actually managed to keep my balance AND bend over in that single-legged forward fold! The stretch that I felt was amazing and literally 2 minutes after it, my hips flexors had never felt so loose! Amazing session today.

Day 19 - This was a very soothing and calming session. Probably the most connected I've ever felt to my breathing and energy, in my entire life. Much needed wind-down and relaxation, can't believe we'll be going into the final 10 days from tomorrow!
-
Day 20 - We're in the final 10 days I can't believe it! Was in a rush today as I was attending a peaceful protest for BLM here today, but this managed to soothe and calm my mind very well. I even made further progress in my flexibility! So great to see the progress in myself.
-
Day 21 - 3 weeks officially complete! I made even more progress here I'm v proud. Managed to place my palms onto the mat in forward fold with straight legs, I also managed to hold Warrior Pose in near perfect form and I even did the Frog Squat for the first time ever! And we still have 9 days left to go to make more progress:)
-
Day 22 - Another one that did my hip flexors really well, loved how deep the moves and stretches felt. Also loved the focus on Warrior Pose movements, they further helped my hips to open.
-
Day 23 - Just one week remaining:( kinda sad it's ending soon. Anyways, the side plank was quite difficult but I weirdly noticed my balance and strength is greater on my left side than my right. Strange thing to occur, but just a thing for me to improve on I guess!
-
Day 24 - Wow how strange is it that the first video where Savasana lasted for a few minutes, I didn't even notice. I was in pure relaxation and stillness until I noticed the gentle music had stopped. Anyway, this is another video I think I'll be returning to after his challenge is done as it really attacked my hip flexors well! Another great session, just 6 days remain:(
-
Day 25 - Went by very quick so I decided to take up Adriene's advice of doing one of the options she gave at the end. I did the hip openers since that's been my main focus and weakness, but other than that it was a nice and easy and mellow session today. Getting closer to the end now:(
-
Day 26 - This was a nice and calming session and honestly didn't feel that long to me! Very soothing stretches into different parts of my body that somehow needed to be stretched today, coincidentally, more than ever.
-
Day 27 - This was like a really good test for myself to see how much progress I've made with my flexibility. And I'm happy to say and see so much progress! Flat feet in Downward Dog, improved hip motility, deeper Cat-Cow and a lot less stffiness and pain. This video for me was an amazing progress checkpoint!
-
Day 28 - Wow that flipped Downward Dog was insane, but what's crazier is the fact that I even managed to pull it off! Felt so good to do a difficult move. Overall great video again, was great for my entire body and I loved how Adriene gave us a bit more freedom on how to transition into different positions. It's a nice subtle way to show her build in trust in us over this 30 day journey and to remind us that it's always been us in control, not Adriene:)
-
Day 29 - The penultimate session:( it was another nice video, nothing too challenging or difficult. Can't believe tomorrow is the last one!
-
Day 30 - Journey complete.
Super inspired. Thanks for taking the time to do that.
@@whathehec I'm so glad you are:) and needn't to thank me, wish you the best of luck with this challenge!
This was great to read!! Thanks for taking the time to track your progress with us.
When Adriene said "allow yourself to do nothing" I burst into tears!!! Adriene you are doing such important healing work. Thank you for sharing your light!
Molly you are right my friend.Yoga is very useful and Thank sharing this great content
I feel that way too...
Started Day 1 today! 19 July 2023. If anyone else is doing it too, go you! Yay! I think Day 1 is well suited to someone whose regular yoga practice lapsed decades ago but remembers (more or less) the basics. I write from the POV of someone who is a bit uncoordinated and confuses left and right :-)
whoa. ty. i needed exactly this.
Girl same! We can do it!! Gonna try this one again tomorrow until I get it 💪🏻 we can do this!! 😁❤️
Keep doing what you are doing. you will get better. The only losers are those who quit trying...
Keep doing what you are doing. you will get better. The only losers are those who quit trying...
Keep going! I just started today! I believe in you!♥️
Today is the first day of the rest of my life. I went from 140 to 200 pounds, thanks to my anxiety. I'm ready to finally live! Day 1... Let's get it!! Thanks for posting this video! Namaste
Thank you for being real and letting your silliness and personality come through. It made me smile. Thank you! I really enjoyed this.
FootballLife reach your goals❤️
This made me so happy
Its so good to see God reveal himself
Keep going strong
💖 you
Good luck with your career! Football is so fun!
🥳 Yes!! Congrats on your awakening! 🙌🏽💗🥰 May your life always be blessed beyond measure. 🙏🏽
Well friggin done you are amazing 😉
That's fantastic! I hope you are still doing well.
Agreed 100%
Couldn't have said it better myself. Thank you Adriene!
Exactly, well said. Thanks so much Adriene. I am looking forward to the next 30 days spent with you.
Who else is doing this for Covid 2020 isolation?
My wife and I are on Day 4 of Isolation Yoga!
Lol!
ohh yeah))
I hate this shit
I was so stressed out when I saw this video was 35 minutes since deadlines are approaching and I'm stressed out. Thankyou for making me take a moment and just breathe! I'm ready to get to work far more positively now :) looking forward to the series!
Day 1 ✔
Thank you Adriene 🤍🙏
You go girl!
Wauw!
I'm so hard on myself for lacking consistency, but the important part is that we keep getting back on the horse ;-) hope you are well and feeling good.
how's it going? :)
It's so fun, so calm and relaxing, I think 30 days will go by like a breeze.
put the cherry on top by starting meditation too!
Mia Morningstar what are the poses you do??????
Yay for you! Take your life to another Level by starting to research veganism!
+Olivia Karlberg Yay! Welcome to the channel Olivia!
sames its fun soothing healthy in one word its amazing
I feel as though now after doing this I can accomplish anything today!😂😂😂😄😄😄😄😄😄
I know I've been doing this workout every night and I feel so peaceful! (Btw im usually REALLY stressed)
how does yoga have this many TH-cam views? mind blown
+Jessica Riches thank you! good luck to you as well! :)
I'm also struggling to lose weight as I gained weight lately so keep going !! Yoga makes me feel so good and it will make you feel good too:)
good luck love! How has it been so far
How is it going so far?
I'm going to be honest here. I'm a 15 year old boy that's trying to get in better shape and I want to really lose a little bit of weight. And if any of my friends were to figure out I'm doing this they would probably tease the crap out of me. But anyways, I hope this really helps me and by reading the comments I see that it does. Wish me luck! 😊
+Aaron Lightle
Good luck.
This is my fourth journey on thirty days. You've no idea what a difference you make in my outlook, my movement, my life.
I hope your journey is going beautifully!!! Kicking an eating disorder to the curb is incredibly hard, so props to you :)
At first i was like “agh i have to do this for 34 minutes!” And it just felt like a relaxing 10 minute stretch. Im excited to start this :)
same here!
IKR! I was here for 37 minutes! I can’t even sit still or concentrate on something for 3 seconds-
Same! from Japan
I know!
I know right? I also thought 34min... ogh and before i knew it was over and very enjoyable
Great decision. Lady Adriane has evening session videos too though, those might be more calming, aimed more to relax. Try :-).
finehomemadewine oh wow thanks! I will definitely check it out! Thanks again 😊
I suffer from the same! I started yesterday. Keep your head up and keep focused. Also try CBT and mindfulness exercises. They are helping me. 💚
Who else has discovered this during the lockdown and is loving it?
What a fabulous instructor!
Today (Dec 1, 2021) is the first day of 365 days of yoga. I plan to accomplish 1 hour of yoga everyday until we meet here again on Dec 1, 2022. I'll be documenting my progress and experience and hopefully post here to TH-cam after some time. Thank you Adrienne ❤️
please! 🙌
Good luck on your adventure! I look forward to seeing your progress!
What an interesting challenge. Good luck!
I have just started the 30 day with Adrienne as well. Already felt great first day. 10/10
Good luck Joy! Today is day one for me! Please tell me it gets easier. 🙏
Y’all think I can do it 👇🏾
You doing alright?
So far so good :) Day 6 today
I'm the same way. Its been a struggle but I am really excited to get there
We’ll get there I believe in you :)
@@bluwuboi I had to play catch up yesterday with day 5 and 6 we'll get through this together
How did it go? This was posted a month ago so i assume you completed the 30 days!
@@Kai-qd1le will look for it. But I think most of it will have to come from within me .
TheKingoncrack me too! Well said.
Penny D Yeah. These are exactly the reasons why I love Adrienne's approach; her spontaneity and humor make yoga feel approachable.
Penny D I'm just about to try day one :) woo! xx

I did this in 2015 and I am doing it again now, in 2023, 8 years later. Extremely grateful that this one is still on her channel. I love it.
i’ve already completed this 30 day practice before (and then was able to do a scorpion where you grab your foot from behind your head!!) but i’ve gotten out of practice with yoga and decided to start again. i’m planning on doing ALL the 30 day yoga journeys!!! it might take me a few years (one time a 30 day yoga practice took me 2 years to complete…..) but i’m gonna do it!
Day 1 of Quarantine Yoga done
My two-year-old and I had a good time though we might not have hit every pose 😂 But it feels good to start a practice up again
Lol...doing quarantine yoga too. Day 3.
Me too haha.
Same lol
Still here and going strong too! 💪
Happy Monday, Will! How are you? 😊
We got this!!! ❤
(posting this message on the first day to hopefully get others motivated to start as well!)
Hello Adriene!

Nenyaki, that's so cool!

Thank you.
You go!!! I am hoping to lose some weight as well. Adriene is really awesome!
thats great!.. im fron nj also, what part are you in? im looking to also start yoga
+Ella Wong Hi!! have you lost weight with this workout?
I lost 18lbs in 2 weекs! I'vе been using Fоrskolinfit Рro, It works for mе! 1 tablet in the morning, onе bеfоrе dinnеr. Rеаd about this "мagic bullet" hеre edihero.ru/?v=oBu-pQG6sTY_925810
Amy Bishop Lol My dog is always beside me trying to figure out what I’m doing & doing his own “yoga poses” along with me. :)
Adriene you are a wonderful and lovely soul, I shared this series with a few of my friends. Thank you for this

I came back to this 30 day journey after 7 years, this was the perfect beginning.
You and me together on this, girl!
Same lol
Girl go to a park away from the madness!🌹
I share a room with my sister so I can't do this in my room because it would wake her up, so I came downstairs to try do it and my brother follows me then starts playing really annoying things on his laptop so I can't focus (it's extra irritating because he has his own room to do it and I don't)I asked him to turn it down and he gets mad. You probably don't care, but I just needed somewhere to vent
I know mid yoga when my eyes are closed my 3 year old sister likes to step on my face:/😐😂. It's very annoying
You're going to feel so good by day 30; just stay with it. The secret is consistency.
Bridgette Levy thank you 🙏
Hope you're doing better this week. Hang in there. You will feel better than you do now!

TY for your post! Your day by day updates really helped motivate me to start this challenge 🎉
@@micah2805 Good luck I’m rooting for you!!
You got this : )
Did you do it?
Day one is done. I'm late to the party but I didn't make it a priority to start this. I made the time now and getting up a bit earlier in the morning was worth it. I feel wonderful. Can't wait till tomorrow
Yay I'm happy I'm not the only one just starting too :)
Can I join the 'just starting' party too?:)
:) I'm glad I'm not the only one. Yay!! Yoga Party!!!
I'm starting it later as well, but I am really excited and enjoying myself, hope you are too :))
Thank you so much Adriene!! :)
Thank you Adriene! I started it today and surprisingly, I feel calmer and relaxed. I'm definitely going to try and keep this up for 30 days. Thank you so much for this.
From yoga camp to 30 days of yoga. I aint stopping!
+Madeleine Norman Me too! Let's keep going!
Yes! Let's do this!
+Madeleine Norman I just finished yoga camp and was thinking of going down to practicing 3 days a week, but 30 days of yoga is calling my name, so I think I'm with you guys and going for 60 days of yoga!
Me too except I'm starting with this instead. Good luck! 😊
I gave myself a break in February after the 30 day January challenge, and I'm about to embark on this 30 day challenge for March :D
I feel like Adriene is a yoga instructor and a therapist rolled into one. She's the best. 💖💖💖
Hay pretty lady ☺️
First day starting the 30 day challenge!! Who else is starting today? :]
Me.
Mar Sea I started on the 1st!! This is great!!
How did it go?

I’m starting day 1 today too! Let’s do this!! 😁🙏
Starting my yoga journey today and I seriously can't wait to learn more. I have so much anxieties and this really helped me relax and I even teared up at the end for some reason. Very happy I decided to give yoga a try :)
+Becky Angelique Emotional energies stored in the body thats being released perhaps?

Completed my first day of this: as the UK has gone into another national lockdown I wanted to use this to maintain a healthy lifestyle, physically and mentally. I used to got out to the gym and run but with no gym open and it's winter here. Yoga seems like a great solution 😁🙂
hello fellow Brit and same I’m starting it today
yup, we're gonna give this a go too, hope you've had good progress so far!! 👍
(Btw, you were recommended to me by Dustin Wills!)
it's been almost 10 years but i always come back to your 30 days of yoga videos. i hope you're well, thank you for sharing these with us :)
