Maybe mongol empire is the first big country that agreed all religions. And there were no racism. They counqered other countries because of their rudeness, like killing envoys and traders. And then they call themselves civilized people lol. Even 21th century racism is a biggest problem.

      Your not really right.
We’re just gonna ignore that Genghis was responsible for millions of deaths.
However, im not saying Alexander wasnt responsible for deaths, but when you compare the two men Genghis did worse and more horrible things than Alexander.
But Genghis was a great general and conqueror, arguably greater than alexander depending on your point of view.
If you look at the facts and compare the two it is easy to understand why many see Genghis as a savage barbarian responsible for horrible atrocities.
If you want to discuss this i am open to it.

@@ensvenskperson7661 Not really, to be a savage barbarian you have to do worse than the warlords of your time and Gengis didn't. All Gengis did was conquer more so obviously the numbers would be higher. The 'savagery' itself wasn't much savagery at all and even quite timid compared to some European powers and the Khwarezm empire.

Doesnt talk about his system of conquering cities. He would first put up a white tent that meant if the city surrendered, every person inside would survive. Second day was a red tent that meant every male of fighting age would die. And lastly a black tent, which meant the death of every person inside was certain. After a while people started surrendering immediately.

If he was alive during the modern world he wouldn't be able to do much. Its so much different now then before. For one, it's a lot more volatile, one nuke can cause the world to be destroyed so that's why many countries haven't started wars on each other. Plus the weapons and technogies are another factor, before the better armour and bigger numbers decided the wars, now numbers don't matter anymore since a single bomb can wipe out dozens.

The Mongolian people are really cool and strong. I remember in my college in Delhi, we had a student from Mongolia under the student exchange program. We were all chilling in the classroom one day, and the boys thought of an arm wrestling match. A guy from Punjab boasting of his sheer strength won against every guy back to back. He was invincible and an undisputed winner. Then we invited the Mongolian hottie, all of us girls used to eyeball. He walked with a sense of confidence and within 5 seconds our beloved Punjabi friend was down. Man, we were all crazy about him now even more. I asked him "what do you eat? (for all that strength)" He replied, "Meat" in a plain steady tone and walked away like a boss.. we were all cheering for him. It was amazing....

Like many past leaders, Genghis Khan was in some ways a great man, and in some ways a terrible man. He used warfare, genocide, rapes, and pillages to take control of other nations, but he was also doing it for the sake of unification, peace, and prosperity. A classic case of, "do the ends justify the means?" He was also ethnically and religiously tolerant (as long as you served under him, mind you). It reminds me of a lot of Sei from Kingdom.

Has a Killua profile pic speaking about a historical figure i'm very interested in. While also reminding me of another character I really like whose based on another historical figure i'm very interested in. All while speaking facts. Perfect comment. 😍

The only time he committed genocide was with the khwazharim empire. And he had a good reason to do so. If it was Alexander the great who did this nobody would even mention it. But because Genghis Khan was not European. You have all kinds of biases against him

@@oentrepreneur I have no biases against anyone of any ethnicity, and the fact that you assume I would is just proof that you're the one who has bias due to insecurity. Alexander the Great is similar in many ways to Genghis Khan and I wouldn't necessarily say one was better or worse than the other. Also, the sentence "he had a good reason to do so" in reference to genocide is pretty funny. There's never a "good reason" to genocide anyone.

@bluntbangs I don't support genocide and I have no insecurities. I just said he wiped out the khwazharim empire because of what they did to his men. This might sound cruel and barbaric. But that's just how things were in those times. And most people in those times wouldn't be surprised by this after hearing why he did it

@@oentrepreneur I said that assumption in response to your comment about how I must have biases against Genghis Khan because he wasn't European, which was upsetting because if anything, I prefer almost every other cultural history to European. Khan was certainly a lot less barbaric than he could have been, and less so than many generals that existed during his time would have been. I see Khan and Alexander as extremely similar. Adored by their countrymen, uniquely dominant on the battlefield, and overly optimistic about their empires.
