Honestly not a huge baseball fan but this story made me smile. There are a few sports where dudes can get bogged down in the lower levels of the pro game and it’s not a glamorous lifestyle. Dudes struggle to make ends meet and make a lot of sacrifices to continue the dream of maybe making it to the big leagues. To grind it out as long as he did and actually make it AND notch a big league RBI in what’s likely his only opportunity to do so is fuckin cool. Can’t imagine what this meant to not just him but the people close to him who have been on this journey with him.
Dude I was on the edge of my seat for his 1st at bat. Then I watched his highlights from his 2 hit rbi game. It's just so awesome to see him achieve his dream on such a big stage.
Poor Maggi, the shitty stuff he has to take to play baseball. He looks excited to be with the Pirates, but tired enough of hearing bullcrap and endless hypocrisy. Just give him the check and a position to play and stop bothering him.

I saw him play this year in spring training so cool he got called up. He was dfa back down today but he got two mlb hits.
