On paper, this a MUCH better team than last season's that spend time in the top 25. I will wait until we see them working together on the court. More athletic, more consistent shooters and more than 1 big man! Could be a really good season.
One thing Tech needs to improve on is their defense, I think wr took a major step back, I think Tech should be ranked 20th at the highest and 25th at the lowest because they are so much turnover with the team. I truly believe that Grant will lead this team into the top 15 and a very nice seed in the NCAA tournament.
No offense to Jack Francis, but if the bench is a rotation of players that can make an impact, then why is his roster spot not a part of the potential to add a third player if there is someone that would be an impact? Especially with the potential for injury, and a rotation that help players make it to the tournament with stamina and energy to compete.
Yes and Arizona of course. But some national lists have us at 8-10 spot. That’s crazy considering what we did (tied for third) with the players we had last season.
@@TheSmoothToad it’s more of who is coming back from injury and additions. Mitchell (UT) and Page (USC) and kept CJ Fredrick. Also had a good HS recruiting class

Not quite convinced Fede2 will be the answer---you said RC that he is a ZERO on offense. Better be a Tariq Owens then. Not sure what Cambridge can bring, since he didn't play last year. Toppin likely will be a presence inside, but like Warren Washington did, when he went to the bench for a breather, Robert Jennings did okay, but only one true big is tough. Grant found that out last year, and Mark Adams did the year before losing Fardaws AND Batcho disappeared. RC, one thing I liked with Mark Adams, he had a "Western guy" (Barrett Peery) who could get West Coast talent. He had the guy (can't remember the name) of South Plains JC, a highly successful Coach, and surely they can find a BIG man somewhere in D2, D3 or JUCO, who could be nurtured to post up, defend, etc.? Not comfortable with just Fede2 lacking Offense. Thoughts?
There are options out there. Not another star like Toppin, but players that can play the 5 position and others that could fill 4-5 off the bench. Possibilities in the portal are Dominic Parolin 6’9/245, Jonnivius Smith 6’9/20, or project like William Patterson 7’1/220. There are two 7’0 players that could play a roll, Javonte Brown-Ferguson and Madior Seye, but they would be a risk. There is also a couple of HS bigs that could be developed, like Bronson Schmidt-Uili 6’11/200 from Oak Hill Academy. Either way, there are options. My picks are Jonivius Smith and Will Patterson RS freshman from Syracuse.
Okay it’s not for everyone that’s fine. Also, I find it weird (not just you) that people have to announce that they are leaving… just funny to me. Have a good one tho 🫡

A team benefiting from the Lobos loss is like asking homeless for spare change. And comes with a sophomore slump rarely seen, he will bounce back yr after, make his millions, I'm not cursing his whole exsistance. Just one season. There must be a price for being so cruel to those already in need themselves

I guess they all can be described as a big man though 😂
Like the video for more Texas Tech videos!!!
Enjoy the cruise RC. Look forward to having you back maybe with a new fill on the roster.
Yes is my answer. We are in a very good position as you mentioned.
Really Good ❤
My answer is a fat yes

Great addition to the red raiders roster but I still have houston and Baylor then Kansas

Looking good. Get one more big.
Think we will hang around 15-25 in the weekly rankings throughout the season
For sure
Cincinnati being ahead of us is fucking crazy
Cincy is really good. I think they are a darkhorse team to finish in the Top 3-4.
@@TheBackTo12Podcast who did they add to jump from one of the worst to the best, while all the big 12 just beefed up

@@TheBackTo12Podcast I think HS classes are almost irrelevant at this point especially in the big 12
To contend for a conference title, wish we had a little better center than Fed... Someone that averages 10/gm. And a shot creator guard.
Top 20
Tech will be better, but so will half the conference. With a 20 game BIG 12 season, winning 13-15 games will be a.azing!
I was getting notifications all Sutton they stop why please explain why
That’s not a me problem. I’d try unsubscribing and then resubscribing and hitting the notification bell again

Truthfully, zero is probably too strong of a take on Fede. He’s solid as a lob threat in the P&R, but he’s not creating any offense on his own
