Amusingly enough, the Dimensional Corridor actually isn't the backside area -- it's the FRONTside, and the Endless Corridor is the REAL backside; Tiamat just used her vast power to FLIP the positions of the two areas so that she could technically remain in the front side (as per the rules) but still be in a really hard-to-get-to part of the ruins as a result of the switch -- that is, she KNEW folks wouldn't have the patience to get that far and took advantage of it. Tiamat's one clever gal.
It's really cool, but they missed an opportunity to make the Endless Corridor grail tablet the backside tablet, and the Dimensional Corridor tablet the frontside grail tablet. That would have made it even more cool.
You know your lore, but I thought the specific reason was to hide from mothers wraith after the insolence of the power hungry first children. She was just to powerful to kill, or flush out to Eg Lana were we actually meet some non-hostile first childern.
@@SolMasterzzz I was a bit disappointed that wasn't the case since the whole front/backside flip was hinted at early on and it would have been a nice tease to see a spot on the warp menu just "empty" as well as having the Endless Corridor be an introduction to the backside warps.
Tiamat really did everyone a favor by switching the frontside and backside. Imagine that after you beat Sakit you go to see what new area lies behind him and you are now stuck in miniboss hell where you can’t grail out. La-Mulana woulda been a whole different game lol
The best song in the game. One of my most memorable moments in the game was hearing this music. After some 60 hours of the game played, solving all those puzzles, defeating the 7 guardians and figuring the final riddle about reaching Tiamat, you're finally there. This music kicks in and it's a game where Tiamat challenges you to defeat her own children in a death game.
Getting to this area in the remake was insane. I remember when we only had the JP version and our knowledge of the "MSX" Original. ...None of that helped. Getting here was a milestone for the La Mulana community back in the day.
You know, the knowledge that Tiamat switched the Endless Corridor's and Dimensional Corridor's locations to be in a more "secure" spot just tells me I need to propose to her the second I meet her...if I ever do...*sigh* Also, this song is awesome. Fitting for the "miniboss rush" this place is.
And THAT is because, like... no-one has the patience to get this far. Which is sad, because I loved the DC and, well... /every/ backdoor. They were fun, they had epic music, and they were all reasonably challenging!

I love this theme, but for me the best track in the game will always be Giant's Cry.
@@SolMasterzzz Good choice
This is a great song but it's not even close to the best in the OST. I'd give that honor to Good Night Mom

Getting that last life orb after killing the mini-boss was a bitch.
Even before it was a B
tbh i tried the "intended way" and its much much harder i feel.
1:04 is the Dies Irae melody, a very common musical motif symbolizing death or ending.

How do you feel about Echidna in La-Mulana 2?

Probably best location and boss in entire game. Not even mentioning awesome BGM they have.
Easily one of my favorite themes in this game.
How did this not have any likes?
This is my favorite song in the entire game.
I know, I know. What I'm trying to say, however, is that the places you can use the backdoor teleport, their themes are great.
The best songs of this game are in the end game, and this is a prime example
I would love to hear an orchestral version of this song.
This area means business.
Thas uh bitch move, Tiamat! Bitch move!
This has got to be my second favorite song... right after Curse of Iron Pipe
Ah, the good old switcheroo.
sweet
damn
It's fine, but the original MSX/SCC version of the song is _so_ much better.
