Not having the OE downpipe - kinda makes a sound test useless unless we have that same downpipe- and I doubt many will as it takes a full days of work to even install a downpipe on a MK8 - unless you have a team and a lift.
I still think 4 tips are overkill. especially 4x 4" tips. 3.75", 3.5" is plenty. single 4" are fine. I wish my wrx awe touring system had twin single 4" vs the twin dual 4" it came with. the larger tips leave millimeters of adjustment space on top and sides.....
with no DP the Track sounds better. No need to upgrade the DP on the MK8 R... gains don't justify the $$$... so unless it's for the sound don't bother. I think I'm going to get the Track AWE to go on mine, and just keep the stock DP.

Sounds AWEsome! 😄
💯
I ordered the Track, but I'm keeping my stock DP. Can't wait to have it put in when it arrives.
You are definitely going to love it!
how has the exhuast been. would be cool to hear from you since i wanna keep my dp stock also
@@UroTuningOfficial can you make a video of a stock downpipe like 99% of your customers and a awe track???

They are definitely massive.
It should be an easy fix, it's just tips... I agree, those 4" trumpets look fugly!
thankfully you can buy a GTI and rock it all day :D
Does this still have the valves for the different modes ?
It does not.
What’s the brand of the down pipe?!?!
The downpipe is from Unitronic.
Be advised, in case anyone missed it, the R has an aftermarket downpipe... I prefer the touring.
The touring definitely sounds great.

I can’t believe they didn’t use valves…. What a miss
Unfortunately these cars just don't sound great with any exhaust... turbo engines never really sound great...
