    I just made this and it’s very good! I’m amazed that it only took 90 seconds to cook. I did mix my batter in a cup and buttered my ramekin and then poured the batter into it. Mine was twice as thick.

      The recipe is wonderful thank you 🙏 but I have a question how would you go about doing an egg fast to really get started I love cooking all kinds of stuff so I’m really trying to figure out how to go about it and start changing the way I cook everything

    • @cperm1

      @@tinatovar5069 I started with 3 meals a day with no snacking for 1 week. Then I added an 8 hour fast, (nothing but water or unsweetened tea/coffee). I increased my fasting to 12 hour fast for 1 week. Then 14 hour fast and stopped increasing my fasting at 18 hours. It’s crazy how easy it was for me. I’m never hungry. I was able to eat moderate carbs(20g per meal), and lost 50 pounds in 3 months. I feel better than I did when I was in my 30s (I’m 65 ).

    Just started the keto. Weighed in this morning at 238lbs. Gotta get down to 170lbs. Tried this after watching and WOW!!! Couldnt believe the result. Nice! Little heavy on the gut if you eat two of these. 1 is good and cut in half to get two. Worked great for a grilled mozzarella cheese sandwich. Thanks for the video!

    Just made this ( and toasted it in a skillet. ) Looks as pretty as yours, I’m happy to say. I did it with coconut flour and it was perfect. Someone suggested mixing in one bowl and cooking in a separate dish to avoid sticking. I did that and it came out of the cook ramekin perfectly. One thing I will try next time is cutting back a wee bit on the baking powder since there is less “ flour” volume; as I could tase a tiny bit of baking powder. Bitterness ( but that may just be my taste buds. THIS IS A FABULOUS ALL-PURPOSE BREAD RECIPE, though! 👍🥳💕

    This is THE BEST keto mug bread I have come across yet (been keto about 3 months). It really did only take about 90 seconds. Didn't have to haul out a bunch of ingredients and utensils, so definitely appreciate that. Also, I subbed PECAN flour because I can't tolerate almonds. It was very tasty, and as close as I've come to an English muffin yet. Toasted very well and will definitely use for grilled cheese and breakfast sandwiches. THANKS!!!

      @Johnny Civilian I made it both ways a couple of days apart, but used avocado oil with the almond flour instead of the butter with the coconut. I need to taste test them side by side at some point, but from memory, the almond flour version fluffed up a bit more, but wasn't as tasty as the coconut. One thing's for sure, either way is a poor comparison to real bread, even when toasted, especially if it's sourdough you're cutting back from. LOL

    I’ve tried this a few times now. When switching to Keto, I thought I’d have to give up my beloved sunny side up eggs because I love dipping toast into them. But now I’m able to *quickly* make this bread and still have my sunnies! Who knew bread could cook faster than eggs? It’s 5g of carbs with the almond flour (it’s more carbs if you use coconut flour). After I cook my eggs, the hot frying pan is perfect to toast up the slices! It’s absolutely been my go-to bread!

    A suggestion. As you do with souffles, try mixing your batter in another container and pour it into a buttered ramekin. This will allow it to rise higher as there is less friction against the sides. The buttered walls is the secret to tall souffle rise. After all, this is just an altered souffle recipe. A taller rise 'may' allow you to slide a knife long ways through the bread and make a top and bottom out of one recipe.

  • @agauerm
    @agauerm 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Coconut flour has less net carbs, less bad fats (almond has too much omega 6) and usually you need 1/4 of what is needed when a recipe calls for almond flour. Not to mention coconut flour is way cheaper.

    • @SandyCheeks63564
      @SandyCheeks63564 8 วันที่ผ่านมา

      a recipe written out above said 1 TB of coco flour instead of 3 TB almond flour. I just goofed and used 3 TB coco flour, and just added a little water to make it more runny like it was last night when I made it using almond flour. I think I like the flavor of coco better, it's almost corn-bready. I used to make chaffles with a tiny smidge of xanthan gum to reduce crumbliness

      I hope you don't mind me asking you something? The Coconut flour do you use that on your all food dishes that need flour in them or not? I have heard of many people using coconut oil for cooking stir frys and things. But I've never heard of coconut powder. Is it nice? Can you taste the coconut?

    • @JennyLory
      @JennyLory 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@parisgiirl4376 I'm sorry for the delay, I only just saw this reply.
      As for replacing coconut flour-- I will usually try this substitution: 1/4 c CCF for every 1 cup of wheat flour. The texture might be kind of weird, depending on the recipe so sometimes I will do a mixture of coconut flour and almond flour. For example one cup of wheat flour can be substituted with either one quarter cup of coconut flour. Or perhaps I will replace that one cup of wheat flour with maybe 2 tablespoon of coconut flour and a 3/4 cup of almond flour?? I'm sorry, I forget what I do, LoL. I definitely play around until I get the right ratio.
      As for the taste, I don't mind the taste it all, I actually prefer the taste of coconut flour to almond flour or even wheat flour. I don't even know if I would say it tastes like coconut. The only time I recognize the taste of coconut as a taste I don't like is when it's some sort of coconut candy bar, which I think is disgusting! I hate sweet tastes!! I hope I am making sense, and that this is helpful.
      Just give it a try, just go ahead and replace your wheat flour with 25% coconut flour instead, and see how you like it!
      I think you mentioned coconut oil, you can use that one to one with any other oil or butter easily.
      Good luck!😄
