I used Bare Minerals until my 40's and then went to IT CC Cream + SPF 50. Then I started using Laura Geller for my no make-up look!! Laura geller looks much better on my older almost 60 skin!!
Both sides look great. I used bare minerals through my 30’s , 40’s and through a big part of my 50’s. I prefer Laura Geller now, better coverage and much less work then I ever had with bare minerals.
I like the Bare Minerals side. I thas a healthy look to it & seems to hide any pores or any imperfections. It also has a little bit of a glow to it and doesn't look dry or powdery at all!
I used BM for many years until my 60’s. After that I started noticing the BM was settling badly into my fine lines and creases - with primer and without. I tried several liquid foundations with the same result. About a year ago, I decided to try LG and game changer! No settling at all!
I used Bare Minerals until I hit 60. It just wasn't working for me any longer. I switched to LG and I'm in love with it. My 93 year old Mom was totally impressed and asked me to order some for her. I went to a medical appointment and my Doctor said " You look so pretty" Not because I had a CLAY face but it looks natural and my skin tone is even when I use the LG foundation. ❤ Black Friday prices were incredible and I stocked up😂
Laura Geller side gives you a more, warmer natural tone to your complexion gorgeous. Bare minerals side just looks pale without any warmth. I too have oily and also sensitive skin. I too had been wearing bare minerals for many many years I'm 55yrs old. I only discovered LG a month ago and started wearing her brand the baked balance n brighten and I love it. It made such a difference, it evens out my skin tone it gives great natural coverage, my skin doesn't become oily during the course of my day like it would if I'd worn BM I really love LG now I have the bronzer and blush oooh and the full coverage foundation as well their all great.
I used Bare Minerals in my 40 too, eventually used their cream. Now I am 71 I swear by Laura Geller, I don't like a heavy foundation but you can apply more layers for better coverage. I have always ha combination skin
I was so curious about this!! Bareminerals original foundation & well rested concealer are my makeup staples. I started to use sunless tanner on my face and my friend gave me an extra Laura Geller foundation in medium to try out. I was shocked at how similar it wears compared to my Bareminerals! BM settles into my fine lines way less than any other complexion product. The only drawback from the Laura Geller is the reallllllly poor shade range. Either way, gotta pick Laura Geller in terms of how well it wears, blends, ease of use, portability!!! But I’m glad to see someone else found these two products to be as similar as I did!!
I used to use Bare Minerals and liked it, but it began to settle into my lines and wrinkles far too quickly as I aged. Now, in my late 60s I use Laura Geller. It DOES NOT MOVE on my face, even after 8 or 9 hours. And they have amazing sales so the price great and and that is also important to me. I wish LG would come up with something just as magical for the cold New Hampshire winters - something more hydrating but still easy and minimal. I use the LG Spackle product and am happy with that as well.
More people need to try Nude by Nature! It’s the best mineral powder foundation…. Looks like nothing is on! I am 50 by the way and it never settles in creases. Highly recommend if you’re looking for powder
They both look great!! But, agree Laura Geller looks better I have used BareMinerals for years and just recently started using Laura Geller I honestly love both but I have noticed Laura Geller looks more natural and lasts longer I don’t like a lot of makeup and it gives me more of my skin but better look
I used Bare Minerals years ago, but it always made my cheeks itch slightly. I found out I am allergic to an ingredient in Bare Minerals. Go figure with something that is so pure. I use Laura Geller now and I love it!!!
When Bare Minerals was first launched several years ago, I went to Sephora and had a makeup artist apply it on my face. I bought the starter kit and really liked the way it made my skin look, natural but provided coverage. I also liked the quick, easy application . Now at age 68, I haven't worn a powder foundation for years.
Loved this review as I do use both regularly. Bare minerals I enjoy and find more buildable, but Laura Geller is quick and gives a nice finish with less product❣️
Hi there, I think both products did the job! Good results from both, feel that the Laura Geller had a better result. I have recently bought the Laura Geller make up myself, pleased with it.
LG for the win, but really you look great on both sides. I have used several including Laura Geller, I like the glow LG gives me. I also use Jane Iredale's powder foundation and enjoy that one, with all of them you do have to prep your skin well so the powder doesn't look cakey or settles into fine lines. Using setting spray helps with any powder foundation. You look great!!
At beginning they both looked great. After wearing the Laura G looked better. I am 66 and use Laura Gellar products and love them including her lipsticks. I don't have any issues of drying or going into fine lines with her products.
I can’t see a difference, yes a little settling. Both looks great. 72 yo & began w BMin yrs ago, original powder. For some reason I couldn’t get good results & likely it was my error. Broken capillaries, age spots, Melasma, oily skin, sweat profusely. I’ve settled on LG. I simply apply it easier & faster, seems coverage is more concentrated. I use the Baked Glow on my mature dull skin. It’s gorgeous, no off-putting shine. Seems ppl are afraid to use the Glow but it looks natural. With oily skin I’ve stopped trying to layer products under makeup. It makes a mess, products roll up like bits of newspaper. I use LG SPF Tinted Moisturizer, LG concealer. The Baked Foundation Glow-on eyelids, undereye, I can’t mess this up. I don’t even need a mirror. And, for 50 some odd yrs I thought I was Medium. Not. By phone an LG rep chose Fair, she was correct. I’m stuck on Laura Geller.
Not a huge difference, but I think the Laura Geller side has a very nice sheen or dewie look that I like. I’ve never tried either, but have been tempted as I prefer a more natural look. I just celebrated 60 and often do not wear makeup or just use a little concealer as I work from home, but am always looking for holy grail products as I do still travel a bit and have business meetings, etc.
I’m 57 years old with all dry skin. I really wanted a o like Laura Geller’s but it never worked for me. I tried it a few times. Bare Minerals however, works beautifully, even in the winter months here in New York.
Me too! I'm in upstate NY and have been using Bare minerals since it came on the market. I tried Laura Gellar and find it way too drying on my skin. I guess the key is finding what works with your own personal chemistry. ☺
I just turned 54 last week. I tried Laura geller but the color is too dark or oxidizes on me because every time I wear it I get asked if I got some sun. I thought bare minerals was messy so I wanted to love the Laura G but frustrating ordering online and not getting the color to work. I think both sides look good on you.
Laura Geller will take returns. Also they will help with the shade. I did fair then light. The light is too dark and I do look as if I got some sun. I will go back to fair or may even try porcelain.
I like lg as I cannot make bm work….always looks like my pores are huge. No mater how much I buffffff still looks like orange skin. But I love bm bronzer warmth.
I used bare minerals through my 30’s , 40’s and through a big part of my 50’s. I prefer Laura Geller now, better coverage and much less work then I ever had with bare minerals.
I have used both products for years, my choice depends on how much time I have. I use BM well rested concealer, it’s the best. Both sides look good on you. I’m 69.
Bare minerals needs to be applied out edges of face then buff towards the center . Per the infomercial BM put outcyears ago it was demonstrated that way. I like your buffing brush!
Years ago I was in a department store and the cosmetics persons asked if I wanted to try a full face of Bare Minerals. I went for it and just a few minutes after she began appling the Bare Minerals powder my face was burning and turning red, I had to go wash it off in the bathroom immediately. Not sure what caused that reaction, never had that reaction with a foundation before or since. I've been using Laura Geller Balance and Brighten for years now for me, it's no contest, Laura Geller is my favorite.
Bare Minerals was a great product for me in my 40's going into 50's. But now that I'm 60, LG works a lot better. With that said, my old "no makeup" makeup routine is a bit more extensive. Primarily, advanced pre-prepping of skin morning and night is necessary to keep my face at its best to receive the makeup coverage.
Just found you and enjoyed this video! Going to catch up on your previous ones. Can you let me know what brand and color of nail polish you are wearing? Thanks in advance.
You look good in both. I used to use BM when I was younger but as I got older and my skin got drier (I’m 70) it didn’t work well. Now I love LG balance & brighten but not the foundation with the glow. I use many of her products and think her kajal tubing mascara is incredible.
I have both. Have used bare minerals for 20+ years. I recently added Laura Geller to my stash. LG is powdery and takes a lot of work for less coverage. I added more over and over. BM takes less and covers age spots immediately. I do use a primer. BM has better lasting power for me. It actually looks better as the day goes on. LG goes away. LG is not worth the money.
I have CC cream it covers but I wasn't happy with it I've tried I L I A I've tried boom I've tried o g e e and I just bought Laura and I love her product the rest are going to go in the trash

72 yo, same here! 🌸
❤OMG…I had the EXACT same journey 😊
Same here….
The Laura Geller side is a clear winner for me but both sides look great !
Thank you, Debbi! 🥰
Both sides look great. I used bare minerals through my 30’s , 40’s and through a big part of my 50’s. I prefer Laura Geller now, better coverage and much less work then I ever had with bare minerals.

They both look pretty similar initially but for the last look definitely LG
Thank you, Kelli! 💕
I like the Bare Minerals side. I thas a healthy look to it & seems to hide any pores or any imperfections. It also has a little bit of a glow to it and doesn't look dry or powdery at all!

loks awful. have your eyes examined

How interesting! I am glad you found something that works for you, thank you for sharing! 💕
I tried the Laura Geller in 2 different shades. One was too light and the other was too dark. It was also very dry on my skin. 😊😊
Interesting, thank you for sharing, Kathleen! 💕

Hi Tricia! I typically don’t wear much foundation anymore either, I have been embracing my natural skin! Thanks for watching and sharing 💕
I use mineral powder foundation from Pure Anada - I like the natural coverage and it doesn't irritate my sensitive skin 😊
Loved this review as I do use both regularly. Bare minerals I enjoy and find more buildable, but Laura Geller is quick and gives a nice finish with less product❣️
I totally agree! Thanks for watching 🥰

I am really enjoying them! Thanks for watching, Leslie! 🥰

I’m thinking of trying LG but I have dry skin. Would it be too drying for me? Anyone? Both look beautiful on you by the way!
I don’t have dry skin, but I have heard great reviews on it from many people who do 😊
They both look really good! I'm glad you did this because I am seriously considering trying the LG.
Hope you like it!
@@theresaRD I do too! I told my husband I want it for Christmas.
I like lg as I cannot make bm work….always looks like my pores are huge. No mater how much I buffffff still looks like orange skin. But I love bm bronzer warmth.
Thank you for watching and sharing! I have to use BM warmth with a very light hand or I turn orange! 🧡
hi. I like the Bare Minerals color. I use Laura Geller, sometimes it is too intense. Cheers
Thanks for sharing, Laura!
I used bare minerals through my 30’s , 40’s and through a big part of my 50’s. I prefer Laura Geller now, better coverage and much less work then I ever had with bare minerals.

Both look very pretty but personally I like the bare minerals side

Have you ever tried the MUFE Powder Foundation?? It's great!
No, I haven’t!
Agree with u for the same reason u said. However both still look good!
Thank you 💕
I was thinking Of tryng Laura Gellar, Im just so tired of standing in front of thé mirror for 30 minutes before going out.
Give it a try! Although My everyday look is to not use foundation at all. Thanks for watching, Lisa! 💕

They both look good. But, I'd say the Laura Geller side is better.
My favorite powder foundation is MAC!
I will have to try that! ❤️
Bare Minerals is my choice
Thank you, Sheri! 💕
i may be wrong but doesn't Bare Minerals have better ingredients in it? I think LG has talc and silicons in it.
Laura gellar always oxidises and goes orange on my fair skin much prefer bare minerals totally reliable

They both look good but Laura G. looks a touch better. Thank you for posting. Most days I don't use make-up. It is good to know.😊
Thanks for watching! 🥰
Were you given free Laura Geller products to review, Theresa?
Hi Heather! No, everything I have used I purchased myself. Thanks for watching 💕
The LG side looks more like you just naturally have a great, healthy complexion. The BM side looks like makeup, if that makes sense.
That's a great way to put it! Thanks for watching ! 💕
Does your Bare Minerals have an SPF?
Hi Betty, I think all Bare Minerals has some spf in it. Thank you for watching 💕
Laura Gellar!!!
