the fact that azi followed his own moral compass was the game changer for crowley.
And the funny thing was Aziraphale and Crowley just doing their own thing was actually all part of God's "great plan" to begin with as we find out at the end of the show.

I only JUST realised that Aziraphale wasn’t just being kind by shielding Crowley from the rain. Given how demons are hurt by holy water there’s every chance he may have been protecting him from it just in case

I like how the lion was confused at first when Adam started swinging the sword at it. Lion's never seen anything like a human before, and gets murked for it's curiosity.

I like the fact that Crowley declares the tree’s presence "not very subtle" (2:11), right before very subtly enquiring about the fate of the flaming sword that’s *literally* been wielded by Adam before their very eyes during their whole conversation.
Just as convincing as that other time when he supposedly had no idea what was going on with the Ark business, don’t mind him as he calls one of Noah’s sons by name to warn him about the unicorn.
Either Anthony Jsubtlety Crowley is an even worse liar than Aziraphale, or he’s been holding up the world’s oldest neon sign that reads, "I’m just looking for any excuse to make conversation and being ridiculously obvious here !"
Gotta have the right opening or pick up line to make conversation!

Poorly made and cheap. More or less like the CGI used in The Hobbit's trilogy, so poorly made that made my eyes bleed.
Given how often Michael Sheen plays these uptight, prim characters it's kind of weird to reconcile him with ALSO playing the absolute badass Lucian in the "Underworld" films.

According to medieval mythology Angels can only do right, demons can only do wrong. Only Humans had the gift to know right from wrong and so choose to do either, and they got that from eating the apple.
I love how Aziraphale chose to accept Crowley's comforting words at face value and ignore the fact that angels are obviously capable of doing "the wrong thing" because demons (like the one standing right in front of him) wouldn't exist otherwise.
I had no idea this existed. And David Tennant is in it!!! I’m gonna watch it right now.

I’ve watched it and I loved every second of it. I even ordered the book by Neil Gaiman. I just found the whole concept so fascinating and unique. Not to mention David and Michael have such fantastic chemistry.
You won't regret it.

@@toiratthichmemehinhgautruc3342 Consider it from cultural standpoints. Aziraphale came from a place with extreme inhibitions (although not so you'd notice with all the smiting), and Crowley came from a place with not a whole lot of inhibitions.

I am slightly amazed that there are no countless jokes about the fact that the very first time Crowley speaks to Aziraphale, he seems to be very interested in Aziraphele's "sword"

A beautifully balanced cast. There’s only 2 years between Michael Sheen and David Tennant.
My 17 year old daughter and I can quote this show verbatim lol. What a WONDERFUL show of humanity and love. I can’t wait for season 2, it sad that God’s voice won’t be the same though.

Just noticed something interesting (I think)... I think this is the first and last scene where Crowley has fully yellow eyes, with no white at all. After that he has big yellow eyes but with white. Could that mean something or is it just a detail ?
Crowley has fully yellow eyes every time he is under stress or he is focusing. Look up "Bentley burning scene" or "Holly water bathtub scene", he has fully yellow eyes in this scenes too.

I kind of love how the season 2 opener recontextualizes this scene. We know now that this wasn't their first meeting and that they were acquainted when Crowley was still an angel, and I think it adds another layer to the awkwardness between them. Aziraphale letting Crowley under his wing here hits different too, because it suggests he still values the memory of their first meeting.
"Spoilers" Just noticed that the speaker is foreshadowing the End by saying that it will end in a garden. Except the the end isn't anywhere near a garden meaning the from the first sentence you know it isn't the End.
I think the ending being in a garden is foreshadowing the eventual south downs cottage. Crowley has to have his own garden, as Aziraphale will have his own library. Some people might think I'm crazy for thinking that, but I'm holding out hope. I can really see it happening. ❤️

@@wessley4606 aha I get yah, I'm probably bias as he was my Doctor then I stopped watching and lost interest after his run. I've just always liked his roles, he was creepy as Dennis Nielsen (although totally different) his Harry Potter scenes were quite sharp but he stole the show in Jessica Jones for me big time. Maybe it's just because I'm scottish but I always find something almost homely about him.
And hey pointy was a style of acting at one point hahaha.
